I rented two dollys. When I got to the location I was told they were not available. I drove the truck on the return trip. If I had know from the beginning how bad the steering was, I would have never accepted the rental. It was not safe to be on the road.Bernard P.

The clerk was outstanding. No issues with him. Our issue was that we reserved an appliance dolly and expected to have it available when we picked up the truck. The clerk told us that though the reservation was accepted, they had no dollies available. Now we had to go around and try to find a dolly on a Saturday which was cutting into our reservation time. We did not load all we had just to go ahead and bring the truck back early. We never found a dolly so we had to lift heavy appliances onto a truck with no ramp. This was unacceptable and if it was not for the clerk, I would call it a horrible experience. In fairness, I had done business with this location in the past with no issues but to find out at the last minute no dollies were available was very frustrating to have to load everything without a dolly.Terri Z.

While the employees were helpful and tried their best, they unit we reserved wasn't available. Everything about our experience with U-HAUL has been a "bait and switch" experience. Including the truck pick up, where we had to drive an hour both ways to pick it up, to the car trailer, where the trailer was defective so we had to get an entirely different trailer, to the storage unit, where they only had smaller unit that originally reserved. The fuel was not Full when I picked it up. It was between 3/4 and full. There was no way to indicate that. When I returned the truck, I was charged extra because it wasn't completely full which is NOT how I received it. I also returned the truck after hours. There was little to no parking and I spent 15 minutes inching my car out of the daily parking spot because someone returned a truck and blocked all 3 customer cars in. I only cleared the exit with an inch to spare. I almost gave up. Tried to push the emergency call button and no one picked up. Went back to my car and finally got it free.Tonya K.
My experience with this location was below average because I was not informed on the process at all. Apparently, before you leave with the vehicle, you're supposed to receive a text message from Uhaul to verify the condition of the vehicle. Once I realized I had the text message, it was expired. I called Uhaul to see if they could send me another one, and they said it couldn't be done. The other issue was I thought I would receive a dolly as I requested online. At the last minute, he tells me there were no dollies. So, it made it much harder moving our furniture.Jacklyn B.

When I first got there, the guys at the front didn’t care and gave off that attitude. I had my unit for a week. I called the location to check their hours and the message said 7pm. I rented a truck from another location because the guy told me my storage didn’t have the small truck I needed. I got to my unit and they had closed at 4. I called uhaul to ask if I can keep the truck till Sunday. The girl told me I have ti return the truck by 10am. I said “it’s Sunday, what time do they open” she said all uhaul storage opens at 9am. I got there at 8:50 and they didn’t open till 10. So I called back, got the truck extended to a 24 hour truck, and sat in the parking lot till 10. A UHAUL EMPLOYEE DIDNT EVEN SHOW UP UNTIL 10:30 to open the AC units. Moving is stressful enough. I spent more money on the truck I was planning on and I wasted so much time moving. I wanted to speak to someone in management and it took two weeks for them to contact me. This was after I had called back a week later saying nobody contacted me. This was more than just the stores fault. Your phones give the wrong times. Your employees at the call center give wrong times. You employees cant open the units on time. And management isn’t responsive. But you know what, thanks for my $25 uhaul credit I got for the worst moving experience of my lift. Appreciate you, uhaul.Elizabeth H. | Overall Experience

We were unable to check the truck back in using our phone. Because of that we were charged an additional $20. Please keep in mind that older folks may not be familiar with all the procedures using apps. The customer service agent Ben/Berm Rivera was very arrogant, lack concern for what we were telling or asking him, and overall didn't have good customer service skills. He also wasn't very clear or attentive in describing the terms of the agreement or going out and checking the truck for damages, and clear in explaining the truck, rental information, returns, etc. I would never rent from this location again because of him. As a note, I purchased supplies and got a quote from another agent at this location a few weeks prior to this rental and the agent was the total opposite of Ben/Berm. The other agent was a pleasure to deal with and had great customer service skills!!!!William W.

The vehicle was in terrible condition. The engine makes a loud shrieking sound when the gas pedal is pushed and sometimes would stick in gears so that it could not accelerate. I went 4 exits on I4 at 40 MPH because it would not accelerate. When I finally got it to slip into gear, it topped out at 60 MPH (in a 70 MPH zone). Additionally, I purchased an appliance dolly. It was not in the truck. Easily my worst UHaul experience.Adam F.

Based on the conversation I just had with Fay(?) at Uhaul Customer Service I would not recommend Uhaul to anybody at all ever. After a long hold time she chose to ignore what I was calling about and make recommendations about how I should do your jobs in the future. When I explained that I was very clear to your staff about the situation and how it was inputted was not up to me, she told me the "we can't do your thinking for yoooouuuuu" I cursed at her twice and stand by both curse words. Don't worry about Fay, she seemed to think my reaction to her incompetent snarkiness was funny as she giggled through the rest of the call. Whoever thought to put that cretin in a customer service position should be evaluated. I am done with Uhaul. I think I'll go with a company that can do my thinking for meeeeee.Manuel C.

The 15' truck I rented was in very bad shape. It shook violently when reaching 40mph. So, I avoided the highways. The steering was very unstable. The emergency brake lever panel broke off, spilling taped black wiring. The truck stalled on me while idling for a few minutes. I had to reserve an extra day due to having to avoid the highway. This was a major issue because it stacked unnecessary miles, which in turn made my bill high. I am in the middle of moving. As you know, moving is stressful. But having to move in an unsafe vehicle doubles the stress. I even called tue office to let them know. The man simply advised me to call the 800- U-Haul number if I got stuck. This was the worst U-Haul experience. I've rented from U-Haul many times, but this was the worst. It's not a matter of â€œno one ever complained about the truck.â€ It's about driving and testing out the truck yourself, before it's made available to families.PAUL T.

I'm from Puerto Rico, in order to rent the vehicle. I had to provide mi driver license, military retired I'd card and passport. Because the customer service couldn't found Puerto Rico as a state. We are territory of the United State of America since 1898 an American citizen since 1917 by Jones law. I have rented many in these years but now this week I rented a van, and at the beginning they took the mile from the screen, it said 381, I did not move the screen as it was and I used it until 423, when they bill me they put 431, I say that there is an error, and it tells me that the 423 is from the odometer not from the mile. I tell you that it was from that base is that they took the 381. and they stole 8 miles from me, be carefulEnri B.

My critical comments are not applicable to where I finally ended up! My critical comments have nothing to do with this location. Just nowhere else to put them. I would give my experience of renting a UHaul truck -1 if I could. I reserved a 15' truck a month in advance from AR to FL. The day before you sent an invoice that put my DISCOUNT as added to my bill! Then you changed my pickup location from 1 mile away to 19 miles away! Soooo.. I get there and after going through all the paper work you tell me oops I don't have a 15" truck take this 26' one instead! NOOO I have an apartment to move not a house. Ok so we will send you 10 minutes away for a 20'.... fine I need to get going. We drive and drive, IT WAS 25 MILES AWAY! Wait now you have to wait because your time changed. Finally get a truck. Now drive back to point A. 73 MILES LATER. OH but we gave you an upgrade! NO it cost me more money in gas to drive the bigger truck to FL. A huge disappointment. -1PATRICK L.

The owner did not tell me that the vehicle would automatically lock when I shut the door. This was not the case in the past. I had left the key in the engine assuming the door would remain unlocked since I had not locked it. Unbeknown to me, it locked automatically when I shut the door causing me to be locked out of the vehicle. I assumed the office would have an extra key and I was prepared to go pick it up however, when I called the office to inquire if they had an extra key I was told no, they do not keep extra keys and that I must call the toll free number on the vehicle and request lockout assistance. This is a very unprofessional way to manage a business, even car rental companies carry extra keys for their vehicles. When I called the toll-free number I was on hold for 26 minutes before someone even answered the call. When the call was answered I explained what happened I was told they would dispatch someone and it should take maybe 30 minutes at most. I get a call back from U-Haul saying they contacted someone and he was in the area and should be no more than an hour. An hour later, no had shown up so I called again and was then told it would be another 45 minutes, I told them this was totally unacceptable, 45 minutes later still no one and finally 2 hours later, I had a guy show up to unlock the van. This is not acceptable business practice and I feel I should be refunded the cost of the rental for all the inconveniences and lack of communication from the owner.Suzanne K.
