So not only was the van I had rented not available, forcing me to take a 10 ft box truck, I was told that if I did not have the truck back before 630 (not even halfway through my rental) I would have to keep the truck for 3 days. Staff was very rude when I asked them how they expected me to find somewhere to park a moving truck at my house during a blizzard. Overall would rather drive farther to a different location than deal with this sh!t show again
Matthew MI made a error inputing the address in my GPS, and found this location by accident. Even though they were preparing for Winter Storm Fern, the young man made sure I was taken care of. I wish I would have gotten his name. After a very long and cold day, he was a bright spot.

JACK KA huge snow storm is coming. We worked extra hard to have them empty so they could be picked up before the snow storm and we were told our driver is off the 2 days before the snow storm and they can't have the other driver pick it up. I have had both drivers drop off these containers so it's crazy that we could be charge another month when they are empty as well of having to get 1 foot of snow out of around them.
Nikki MI dont think the trucks are well maintained. The truck i took didnt feel safe to drive in snow conditions. To start the wipers are worn out and barely cleaning the windshield. Truck is too old that Mileage already close to 150k. Engine noise and pick up is worst. Tires are slippery in snow. Cargo straps are not in the box to strap the load. Just maintaining the facility doesn't help maintain the reputation if the equipment is not well maintained. Please do service the trucks. Thank you

MARGARET BWhen I arrived the truck set aside for my reservation had a dead battery and would not start on site. They swapped it out for another truck quickly. That second truck was in rough shape. It struggled to switch gears, sounded like the engine was struggling while accelerating and something was up with the front wheel as it would shake so much it felt like it was going to fall off. Luckily it got the job done but I did not feel confident about it as I was worried it was not going to start up or it was going to break down during my move. Moving is already stressful so it was not a great experience feeling stressed by worrying about the truck too. Would have loved customer service to offer a discount when I reported the issues on site, but nothing was done.

Tom FI wanted a van and I reserved a van and they gave me a box truck at the box truck rate. Total rip off for an extra 20 cents a mile that was not what was reserved

BARBARA H | Overall ExperienceHad to get attendant to walk around the vehicle to inspect pre-rental damages. Some were not previously marked by U-Haul. I think U-Haul should implement a policy to return truck rentals full. I will eliminate disputes for reading the gas gauge in and out.

QUINCY B | First ImpressionsI made a reservation to pick up my truck at 7:30 am on Saturday 10/4 for 4 hours. This U-Haul location posts business hours as 7 am - 7 pm on a Saturday. When I arrived no one was there. I called the business phone number and someone answered. The person told me someone was coming but they would not arrive until 8:30 am. The manager finally arrived at 8:45 am and apologized. She was very nice and got me out the door quickly with the pads and hand truck I ordered. I was also credited $50 for the U-Haul reservation guarantee and she extended the truck to the end of the day at no additional charge. Still, 1 hour and 15 minutes late is a poor way to run a business where customers have moving plans. I scheduled 2 moving helpers to assist in the move and ended up having to pay them $150 in overtime because we started over an hour late. It's too bad because the business location is new and very nice.

RYAN AWe had a reservation at a dealer that was closed when we arrived and looked to be out of business and had a violation form on the door. I then called Nairobi Rosario and she changed my reservation to UHaul Moving and Storage of Lower Mac - Trexlertown. While they didn't have the cargo trailer I originally reserved, I was able to make the utility trailer work. Nairobi was great! And when we dropped off the trailer, we were met by an employee that disconnected the trailer for us. I would remove the dealer at BP Gas Station 2643 W Emaus Ave., Allentown, PA.

The staff at the Macungie U-Haul was so open and inviting. The location is brand new, besides having a convenient locker on the first floor, they had a restroom available to use on the same floor. In the rental office they had televisions on the wall showing all the security available. Besides my lock that was given to me by the staff for free, my room was actually alarmed by U-Haul also. It gave me that extra sense of security. Thank you Nairobi and your staff. I will be in again to purchase boxes and packaging supplies. 5 out of five stars would recommend.

There was nothing in the unit and to make it worse the security alarm/system is bragged about for nothing apparently since a lock was placed. Hours are convenient for now, but surprised it is not 24 hour like other local UHaul Storage facilities. It is convenient that it has a drive in garage to unload if inclement weather. It does need more than 1 flatbed cart .There are several to move mattresses and plywood, but only one to move boxes, at least on the first floor.
