The U-Haul on 1st Ave screwed me over but I was able to call U-Haul and they cancelled that reservation and was able to get me a truck at this Madison location. I had a reservation for 8AM - got an email with that time for the 1st Ave location and then got there and they didn't open til 9AM. I never received an email or phone call about this change.

Reservation was initially under 1515 Gallatin Pike, which upon arrival didn't have our rental on the lot. They apologized and gave us a discount and directed us to 121 Moving Center ct. Who were great to work with, but received no communication of why we were there and why we were quoted different prices. Also, they did not mention that I would receive a text to inspect for damage before driving. We were given key and told it was parked out front ready, and left.

There was a steep price increase from the last time I rented the same trailer a few years ago. I felt like the price was a too high for a single axle car hauler trailer. I'm less likely to choose U-Haul in the future because of this reason.

The employees at the Madison location were great; they got us set up with a truck very quickly and were able to answer any questions we had! Drop-off was also really straight forward and I really appreciated their helpfulness. However, the only reason we had to go to this location in the first place was due to U-Haul cancelling our pickup at another location without notifying us the night of our move. We had received confirmation upon reserving a truck one week prior to our moving date, but when it came time to pick it up, the horrendous U-Haul app wouldn't load our reservation and we couldn't get anyone on the phone for twenty minutes. After using the online chat and being told that they couldn't reach either phone number on the account (with no missed calls on our end btw), we finally got someone on the phone through calling the customer service line for the fifth time...and then she hung up on us. It was overall an awful experience and I would rather purchase my own personal pickup truck, or cut off a limb, than ever do business with U-Haul again. Honestly, there's a lot more specifics than what I'm mentioning here, but I don't have any more time or energy to waste on a company that clearly doesn't care about it's customers. I want to reiterate that the employees at the Madison location were fantastic and helped make a stressful night easier. Pro-tip: instead of spending your money on a garbage app and a system that *apparently* sends out false confirmations, pay your employees (you know, the ones that are ACTUALLY helping your customers and bringing in revenue) a decent living wage. Don't advertise a service that you obviously have no interest in optimizing.

10' van; horribly over-perfumed; gagged on it for 700 miles. STOP IT WITH THE FRAGRANCE!!! That stuff is carcinogenic. Otherwise, great location, great guys, efficient and friendly.

The rep at the desk asked if we wanted CDW and we declined. He added it anyway. We reached out to uhaul corporate and they still have yet to resolve the issue. We now have to dispute with our credit card company.

Two lots to park the trucks and trailers, but mostly all of them were kept by the storage units causing it to be difficult to get in and out at times. Anytime the parking stall has blue paint it means that it is Handicap. My last day there an employee made me park where it was painted blue. She argued that it is not Handicap. Just because you start to scrape away the painted sign doesn't make it not Handicap, there is still blue and a ticket can still be issued.

Let the individual know that they have to ask for equipment even after they have requested this is what they need for the move. Communication is horrible. Haven't rented a u-haul in years. Put charges on my credit card that they shouldn't have

Rat droppings and a caved in ceiling that damaged lamps and pictures that apparently got wet and had to be thrown away. I was not given a refund for the days I didn't use the storage, but conveniently charge 25.00 if I was a day late. I moved out the 28th of the month so that's 5 days before the next bill was due. I wasn't given the number to file a claim for the items destroyed or cleaning fee for the furniture that rats have climbed all over..

Employees breaking mask order and not wearing masks. It is a Class C misdemeanor to break the mask order in Tennessee. All inside employees were not wearing them .

There needs to be better communication through each store. When I went to go pick up my truck at the correct location they sent me to another one which in turn set me back to the original location. This delayed my start to moving by . about an hour and a half . Once I got the truck everything went smoothly.

I returned my truck the same day I rented it. Employees were very friendly and helpful. This has been a very stressful time for and I had left my keys to the storage unit in the truck. I returned the next day to let them know and the young lady at the counter was helpful in trying to find them for me. She took my number and said she would contact me if they found them. The true BLESSING came as I was leaving When Harold Sanders, an employee for Uhaul stopped me as I was leaving and said, “Are you the one looking for keys?” To which I replied yes. He asked me what they looked like and I gave him the description. He turns and goes to retrieve my keys! What a huge blessing to me!! Thank you a million times Harold! I pray abundant blessings and a raise for you in the near future!

Only thing I can think of is to have customers actually sign the agreement. I was given a sheet with a line to sign on and wasn't required to sign it. The employees were fantastic and my experience was honestly much more fluent and easy to set up than I had expected. Can't talk them up enough legitimately. Fantastic experience.

When I told them I did not ask for a second dolly nor furniture pads as I was dropping the truck back off I was told the manager left for the day and it would be taken care of the following day. I returned to rent another truck on Sunday 9/27/2020. Only to be told by the customer service rep McKayla, I was lying about the rental on 9/24/2020. And she and the manager both agreed that following day which was Friday 9/25/2020. I have never been so disgusted. To be a consumer and to be told I am lying. And I did not get upset until I was asked to leave the store as if I were threatening the customer service rep for filing a complaint.

Personal were very rude, unprofessional, not helpful when asked a question. Also at first was given a trailer with bald tires, trailer was very old and not until after I asked several times was I given a more reasonable trailer. Also was charged double the price as i had rented the same size trailer in Austin and dropped it off in 121 moving center 3 weeks prior and had to make the same move 3 weeks later again was charged double the rate for the size trailer and was taking it back to the same place in Austin. Also I did speak to a manager on the 800 number about it and it meant nothing to her as In her own words sorry.

I am very disappointed that it was not explained to me that the time of the return would fall in accordance with pick up time. I ended up being charged an extra $52 because I was 4 hours later than the time I “picked up”. It is my fault for not noticing a time on my contract or basking but I was left with the impression that any time would be fine. The lady said “Tuesday”, not “Tuesday by 8am”. I have no doubt I would have duly noted that specification and 8am would have been no problem. Past that everyone was friendly, the experience was smooth, and the equipment proved reliable and well maintained.

The location to rent a one way rental after trying to get a rental in Madison was changed too many times. Went on Madison storage website for a oneway rental, was told I needed to change location of pick up to Dickerson Pike, then they called and said I needed to pick it up at Hendersonville instead. A few hours before pick up time I called and verified the rental would be there.I talked to Jason he confirmed opening hours and assured it would be there. As I was on my way to Hendersonville, I was checking my messages and between the time I just confirmed my confirmation, someone different called and said the previous renters didn't return equipment on time snd routed me back to Madison. I was only renting a utility trailer, but gosh darn. I found myself saying are you sure are you sure.

The service was great, especially from the gentleman who checked us in on return. Only complaint is the last of technology integration -- online check-in didn't work and y'all need touchless credit card access. Lastly, don't make your customers give their personal details like address and phone information verbally when they've already entered it online. It's tough keeping your identity safe these days and that doesn't help. Otherwise, nice people, clean truck, convenient location.

Specifically reserved a drive-up storage unit as I have a few very heavy items, including a real-wood dresser that weighs about 500 lbs. I received confirmation that I had a drive up unit reserved and when I got there after a 12 hour drive the facility had a second floor unit that was only accessible by a huge ramp. They were unapologetic about this and had no offers or attempts of rectifying the problem, I went to another facility.

We were displaced due to a horrible tornado that took out our home and belongings. I was loading items into my storage unit at the Madison, TN location alone. The ramp to the second floor unit was not large enough to pull the cart up with the boxes. It is a huge mess. I asked someone at the counter if they could just help me pull the cart up the ramp, which would take one minute of muscle. To which, a very dirty, unkempt woman with a big septum piercing looked at me and said "that's not my job sorry" and her coworker appeared to be concerned, but that's all that it was, appearances. She kept herself behind the counter while I cried. My posessions were broken from attempting to go up this ramp. So after losing almost everything, I lost more because one person couldnt be bothered to lend me a hand. This is absolutely shameful, and the Madison location should be ashamed of themselves. We are all Nashville neighbors, and the least that someone could do, is show a litle compassion. Disgusting.
