Pretty disappointed to learn I had to pay for insurance for the van I rented after going through the reservation process online and being able to decline the option. If insurance is mandatory on vans. Why not make it mandatory on all platforms so that I don't get the charge tacked oj when I go to pick up the van I reserved without an option to decline it? I am disappointed in the way it was handled. I wish I had known when I was making the reservation online instead of being forced into it upon pick up.Eric Z.

My experience was less than satisfactory at this location. The Assistant Manager was not only rude, but lack customer one should expect from a manager. When I arrived, he scolded me for my timing, was angry my wife was driving the truck to pick up trailer even though I was going to drive out once picked up. Next, he was trying to tell me how to back up to the trailer even though I am a seasoned CDL A truck driver. Upon return, I has to listen to him accuse a customer of being drunk and would not rent to him. That could have been handled more with more discretion. I was also charged a full extra day and other fees because he said I was a half hour late even though I was a full day early. I will NEVER recommend this U haul site to anyone or use again!WARREN R.

self-checkout was not that easy and i have spent 45 minutes for picking up and did it with the office clerk's help (he did something manually). i will try not to use self-checkout for a while. it has been a problem for me. i am not sure it is me or the system....Cesur U.
The facility itself was fine however my experience was not. I made a reservation online, and had the email with the reservation number, yet when I went in, they had no record of me at all. Then, on the day I tried to move in, the facility wouldn't let me POD be in their parking lot. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why this would be, as a POD and a storage unit go hand in hand. I then had to spend the entire afternoon on the phone trying to figure out what to do to make things work and had to spend even more money on renting a truck to unload the POD into and then bring to a facility. Nothing to improve, both the pick up and drop off processes were quick and painless. It was my first time renting a trailer and the staff was helpful both in getting it hooked up to our vehicle as well as unhooking it and rolling it back to the rest of the trailers at drop off. The sales rep charged my card WITHOUT CONSENT (illegal) when the first month was supposed to be free due to this being part of a one way trip/storage unit bundle. The manager made it right by giving me my second month free, however when you budget funds and have important things to pay for during a move, things like this throw everything off. Absolutely unbelievable. My unit also had a mouse trap in it, so I’m not sure if this was precautionary or as treatment, but I got insurance so if anything happens it’ll be (hopefully) compensated. Check-out/check-in were so simple and the woman who handled both was friendly, thorough and efficient! I have heard so many horror stories about moving company scams, so I opted instead to rent a truck myself and this U-Haul experience was so easy and cost effective that it gave me peace of mind to help make my move to a new home less stressful. It was my first time driving a 15' truck and I found it to be easy. The location is also convenient as it is very close to an interstate exit and adjacent to a reasonably priced gas station.Courtney M.

When I picked up the truck, it had a quarter tank of gasoline in it. I was running late and I had to stop and get gas making me even more late. When I returned the truck, there was some foot prints in it and a little bit of a wetness on the deck and your guy charged me $25 to mop the floor, that was the third rental I had in a month I will never rent from your people again if you don't reverse that charge for moppingThomas H.

Card reader never accepted my card. Made a reservation via phone for storage, and that reservation was never filed. Ended up with a unit only because one was still available. Made another reservation online. Called the day of move-in and was told there was a 7 day grace period to sign in at the office before the reservation expired. Arrived the next morning. A man at the next counter was angry that they didn't have his reservation. The clerk then started my interaction with "don't worry we take reservations seriously. We don't give them to anyone". A minute later I was being told that they had given my reservation away and it was really my fault for not coming the day before, despite the clerk remembering that I'd called and she'd said there was a grace period. Oh, and some moron decided it would be a great idea to install oversized speed bumps across the entrance/exit so every time you move cargo the trailer hitch gets stressed and the cargo gets jostled for absolutely no reason. I respect the staff but they were incompetent (or badly trained) which led to confusion, frustration, lost time and money for the customer. Slow truck pick up time (uhaul employee talking endlessly with the customer in front of me). This is not a restaurant where you make small talk to get a tip. You're supposed to make the process quick and efficient so the next customer can pick up their truck in a timely fashion especially if you're the only employee there. Poor training. Nobody knows what is going on. They kept asking me who told me about the one free month for storage... At least they honored the free storage month that was promised (after a call to the manager, which wasted more of my time. My movers were waiting for me in the truck and I was paying them $200 per hour) So a 10 minute delay from uhaul employees cost me more than $33. Bad experience.Ciprian S. | First Impressions

Uhaul customercare told one thing and the store manager says another. I have an upcoming one way truck reservation and when I booked it it gave one month rental but then customer care told us we could move in today and the website also told when I entered the uhaul reservation number that my first pay will be on September 26.
