It cost $20 extra if you don't check the truck in online. We tried repeatedly to do this when returning the truck but it wouldn't accept the phone number on our contract so your guy's website not working right cost us $20, not too happy about that. With that said, the truck, a 20' super only had 37K on it and was awesome. The staff was great and the location is the best U-Haul location I've ever seen.WAYNE S.

for one thing we took the truck back and the lady that was working didn't even come outside to check it for the gas or anything he rented it for 125 MIso he was due money back because he didn't go that far so will do he only went about 90 milesPAUL G.

The drop off of our truck was an excellent and quick experience, other than being charged extra mileage because the pickup location marked the mileage wrong it was the best uhaul experience as to date I've ever had and I use regularly,Kristina M.

The self check out was awful and very hard to navigate.Many of the steps needed were repeatadily ask during the sign out. The fuel gauge wouldnt move [key was in the right position] and gauge should have been moving when putting gas in.Then all of a suden it started working and I found that I put probably 25.00 of fuel in that I didnt need to.RANDY S.

I was there on several occasions: to rent a storage unit, rent a truck to move, changed the truck to a trailer, and to go in to get mattress bags and other moving supplies.. Every person I encountered was efficient and helpful! I also got a suggestion to get the cheaper king-sized mattress bags to slide our couches into. This was a brilliant idea! The couch stays clean--no fingerprints or smudges. I bought the thicker bags for the mattresses. I also took it a step further and put one on my curio (with a little padding), bench seat, entertainment center and padded chairs. Thank you!LAURIE C.

Picking up the U box and loading it and taking it back to Mansfield Ohio went very smoothly. The transportation to California somehow was delayed and as such the arrival to Visalia California was late. In trying to find out where the box was, there was a lot of confusion and misinformation regarding its location. In talking with various U-Haul representatives, it seemed as if nobody knew anything about it. Nor did anybody want to take responsibility for it. In the end the U-box arrived late, was brought to the house where are my daughter took another day off off work to unload it, and then it sat in the driveway at her home for three days until U-Haul decided to pick it up. So the answer to the question is basically that the beginning was fine, but once it headed to California, our experience with U-haul was much less than satisfactory.Janice W.

I called later in the evening, to ask in the return time the next day, as I had told the initial person I needed the rental for 24 hrs but paperwork notes an earlier time. The lady on the call was very rude (sighing at my question, getting very curt in her tone, even stating â€œoh my Godâ€ quite loudly when she decided to ire the the date). The customer service was excellent. The truck was not in great shape. It was adequate and did the job. The tire pressure was low but they took care of that before we left the pickup location. The gas was only at 1/4 of a tank. I think it is convenient and expected, to at least fill it up prior to renting the truck! It smelled like cigarette smoke. The pine tree hanging from the mirror was supposed to mask the odor but it was horrendous while driving 4 hours. The suspension in the truck was non-existent and it needed an alignment badly. The seats in the cab felt oily. I realize this is a work truck but I've never rented a truck in such poor condition. As expensive as it is to rent and as particular the staff is about gas gauge and cleanliness upon return, you would think they would extend the same courtesy when first renting a vehicle; not just when it is returned. The location of pickup was nice and the girl was friendly and helpful.Traci AND chip W.

The after hours return process failed. My location services apparently did not register and when I couldn't locate the tiny barcode on the building I hit cancel on the scan prompt. I was then prompted to drop my keys and finish the return. After I dropped the keys the site then told me there was a problem. Too late â€” keys were in the box. Called 1800 uhaul and was on the phone for 53 mins. Meanwhile I finally found the barcode, worked thru the return and never actually has a cust service rep pick up the phone sooo frustratingANDREW V.
