You were supposed to deliver a U-Box at 9 am. Your associate called me and said her delivery truck was out of commission. Then you rented me a U-Box on a trailer that had an aluminum strap that secures the box to the 2x6s torn and crumpled. I didn't notice it when I left the U-haul location. That strap scraped along my driveway when I started backing in. Thinking that I was going to be blamed for this mishap, and worried that the integrity of the U-box was in question, I returned it, Only to learn that your employees already knew that that strap had been ripped out by somebody's bad forklift driving. If they had told me before I left, they would've save me a lot of headache. As it was I missed the window when I had movers lined up to move my stuff. It was a total debacle.ANNETTE MADELON C.

My reservation was changed from one location to another location and I was not aware it had been. I was told that A TEXT MESSAGE was sent to me and I do not think that A TEXT MESSAGE is a sufficient form of communication under the circumstances. I never confirmed receipt of the TEXT and therefore I should have then received a phone call or a least an E-Mail. My day was delayed because of this and I will never rent from U-Haul again.Edward P.

When I pulled out on 73 south in the morning glare of the sun I was blinded by the interior windshield dirt, it appeared to have been fast cleaned leaving the entire window a glare shield. Suggest mineral free windshield cleaner such as distilled water and news print. Truck was excellent. Could not figure how to turn off the light haul/tow.bruce E.

customer service is terrible. first time i went to access my U-Boxes, Jose helped me. i had to repeat myself multiple times because he was paying more attention to his phone. 2 of my 4 containers were inaccessible when i arrived because they were placed in a way where i could not access the doors. one of the containers had ripped itself free from the padlock hardware so that the door swung wide open as the containter's position was adjusted. Another box had the crossbeam above the door fall off. Had an incredibly difficult time arranging for a u-box delivery and was on hold for far too long. After i placed the reservation, i ended up calling back to speak to another representative because i had to push the delivery date back a day (due to circumstances out of my control), but apparently no one told the delivery woman, Sue, who ended up having to make 2 round trips with our storage container. Overall, Sue the delivery driver, was much easier to work with than the Maple Shade U-haul as a whole.Impulse D.

Followed directions for contactless drop off which said to park in a parking spot. While completing questions for return an employee came out and very rudely told me to move the vehicle to a different spot. â€œMove the truck under the awningâ€ were the only words they said in a very rude tone even when I said I was following the directions on contactless return.Nicole H.

The equipment was clean, but it definitely needed some kinda maintenance work done. I was almost scared to drive it with how the u joint sounded when putting into gear. Also, you need to make a notice about having to call someone or needing your lease to verify. I had no idea about it until I got to uhual for my reservation to pick up the truck. Luckily my mom was awake (it was very early in the morning). Plus the uhaul truck had several scratches and damages that weren't marked. I took pictures just incase before leaving the store.Amber M.

The location was not a problem... The problem the reservation, I order a 26 foot truck for Fri. September 25, to be returned September on the 27th. I was told first it was put into the computer as a 2:30 pick up instead of 6:30 pick up and return at 4:30 pm on Sat. Well. Those were not my reseversings. 98768081 Contract $21.33 I have put in a complaint and explained that I brought back the u-haul and how the site didn't let me check back in nor customers service helped the number said close refer back to site for check in. That was after major driving and unpacking knowing Uhaul are high on demand, we chose to give someone a chance to have it not keep for the heck of it. Originally, we wanted next size up not available in NY! Therefore the employee that checked in said I am getting hit with the fee and put in by p up request explaining my situation. I never got a reply on crediting or explain why it would be declined when no help could be given... I would love customer service or management reach out to me- thanks!Joanna C.
You should fill the gas tanks up before renting. Renting them unfilled leaves everything open to judgment - seems like you are trying to get people to pay for extra gas. I rented 6 blankets but they were not put in the truck. The manager told me to use the ones in the truck instead. i was told there was a $25 fee if they were not folded when returned - ridiculous! I spoke to the manager (Amy) who promised me a $10 courtesy refund - but I was never given that on my credit card - still waiting. I never received a test to check the truck out before leaving - even though I gave the manager my phone #. He texted my wife instead and it was too late to respond. I found out later that the gas tank was marked filled - but it really was not. I put $20 of gas in the tank and only drove 29 miles - because the paperwork said the tank was filled and I went to get it refillled.Vincent D.

If you're doing self pick up. You shouldn't have to park in front of the building walk and then walk to the back for the truck. Then walk back up front to go inside to get the keys and then head to the back again to drive the truck away. Going inside defeats the purpose of the self pick up, if you have to interact with someone.Brandon W.

The customer service rep. Melvin was extremely rude both times I visited this location (pickup/drop off of supplies). Melvin did not even bother to wear a mask which is 1) a law 2) common courtesy during a pandemic. I was especially offended since I am an ICU nurse that has been working in COVID ICUs since the start of the pandemic. Absolutely amazing experience. Amy is an amazing worker and definitely an asset to the facility. She was very helpful in getting my boyfriend set up for my truck even though I wasn’t there.
