KIMBERLY CVery clean place, From floors to walls inside the whole facility including the outside.THe inside storage and the U boxes were all immaculate! I drive farther cuz place is so clean & nice. There are local ones near me, but no where as nice, clean etc.. I would be afraid to store anything in the closer ones by me, Id probably bring home unwanted guests. lol.

Florence P | First ImpressionsAlthough the on-line check-out is a nice feature, the process is long and painful, especially in the Chicago winter. Check-in feature is same, I would assume. I did have someone come outy to help check the truck back in. The associate assumed a full tamk was required upopn check-in but the tank was at 3/4 during check-out. Luckily I had pictures.
Eric GDid not go inside as it was after hours. Disappointed that I had to fill the gas tank to full, even though I picked it up with less than 3/4 a tank of gas. I feel as though U-haul over prices their services and then adds on additional charges.
Allison GThe unit I reserved was not available, they offered another unit which wouldn’t work. I upgraded to another to a much larger storage unit, they did compensate a little for the inconvenience . Which was great! Thank you !!

CARSON JOne of the gentlemen that helped me outside was great. The guy inside was rude and I was ready to take my business somewhere else. When I walked in instead of 'How can I help you' was 'What do you need '. I asked to rent a car hauler and was asked if I made a reservation. I said no and was told they may not have anything. Then was asked if I had the hitch and 4 plug wiring. I said that I needed to grab the hitch. I went and grabbed my hitch and when I went back in he said 'Now I have to start all over' in a very unnecessary voice. I would tell you his name but wasn't wearing any sort of name tag. Terrible service!!!
CARL HThe process was a little confusing, the charges were not clear I was told one price picking it up and another on my paper work so I am not sure exactly what is being charged. I do think the prices are fair and will continue to use uhaul.

George BI rented a truck and wheel dolly for pickup at 8:00 am on Sunday, before store hours The online pickup process is slow. It took a half hour to finalize and then there was no wheel dolly in the truck so I had to wait for an employee to get one for me. Pathetic!
Mark MOnline it shows the non ramped 6x12 trailer having a 6 foot wide tailgate. The 6x12 I got did not have a 6 foot wide gate. I had rented the same type of trailer before and it had the 6 foot gate so I didn't notice until I was threw hours away. We made it work but if you reserve online the description show should match the trailers you pick up.
ERIC KToo much information needed. I am not comfortable uploading picture of my drivers license. Take a copy and destroy it after but once it is uploaded who knows where and how long its out there. Then I had to give him a phone number of someone else and he called them!!! I hope to find somewhere else next time.
LEE PI was quoted a rate of $58 plus gas for all day Sat and when I pick up at the changes location per U-Haul that location is not renting anymore the closest location is 4 miles away and everything else is the same the charges us $86 plus mileage and gas!!! Not what I agreed and thought I paid already when I gave her my number the day I rented in the first place!!!
HENRY FThe overhead doors for cars/SUVs/vans are too skinny for a 2011 Honda Odyssey van... I had to pull in the driver's mirror. So the second time I used the UHaul truck bays to unload. (My driving and backing up skills... Drove school bus for 11 years, competed in school bus competitions requiring to do a backwards cerpatine without hitting the 10 cones.) What I'm trying to say is... It wasn't my driving that made it close to both sides... It was the width of the bay doors. 😊

NANCY GIt was a good weekend renting your truck picked up the truck one employee was very helpful the other one did not really care to help I did a walk-through on the truck and left brought it back yesterday gentleman met me in the parking lot took over the truck so I'm taking at the truck was turned in because she said I didn't need to do anything

DAVID PThe day we went to pick up our U-haul 2 hours before movers were coming there was a “system wide computer outage” and they refused to let us use a u-haul trailer. We had to call Penske last minute and used them instead. They also do not provide refunds if you clear out your unit 2 days after the month starts.

FREDERICK MThe reason we left is because our entrance was the last door on the end (not a drive in door). The keypads were always covered in spiders and webs and we had to put our hands in them to touch the keypads. The glass doors were also covered in webs. Our unit was the first one by the door. Again it was always full of spiders, webs and dead bugs. I did tell the office once it should be swept out and cleaned but it wasn’t. The inside of our unit was also full of the same which got on our things. When we opened the door to our unit small spiders would be hanging from the rubber seal that touched the floor. I did ask if the office could have someone try to sweep it. If I had more of an interior unit I probably wouldn’t have as big of a problem. I paid a lot of money each month. A bit of a refund would be nice. Thank you. (The staff were always helpful if I needed anything). Susan Spata

After being on hold waiting for a customer service rep at the corp office for over 1 hour (evidenced by the timer on my phone), we found out it was a “computer glitch” the company had known about for over 2 days!! Really?!? And to get to customer service, we had to use a second phone to call in. After 1 hour waiting on my phone, never did connect with a rep. Already stressed from moving, and under a massive time crunch, the 1.5 hour set-back wasn’t received by us very positively. The gentleman in the Johnsburg field office was great. Corp IT office could use help.

Two mattresses and a box spring were totally destroyed by mice.Couch was covered with mice feces and urine. (Urine-Chewed-Feces) Reported this concern several times to the authorities in the office. I was paying $220 per month for this outside unit.
