They charge my card when it should of just been a hold then we j came in they could put it back then I told them o wanted to pay cash with for the difference and they still tried to charge my card

Our reservation was cancelled at one location and moved to another and we were NEVER TOLD! This messed up our whole day and move and cost us more money as it was more miles from one location to another.
Curtis W.Every time I've been to a Uhaul there has always been checkout computer issues. With me and or the folks in front of me. Uhaul needs to overhaul their computer system to make checkout and checkin faster. I would say I wait an average of 30 minutes in line with only two customers in front of me.
Jeffrey D.Several issues making this an unpleasant experience: 1. The reservation process changed to 24/7 Self-Service without my consent 2. The 24/7 Self Service process wouldn't recognize my location nor driver's license. 3. I waited an hour past my scheduled pickup time to get my vehicle. 4. When the pickup process was complete, I was simply left to find my cargo van somewhere in the large parking lot. 5. The final estimated pricing at the time the van was picked up was different from the initial reservation pricing, even with the same time and mileage parameters. The staff seemed to have little understanding of how the pricing works. 6. As they made me wait an hour to complete the reservation, I asked that they adjust the pickup and return times accordingly, but they did not (or could not) do so. 7. The van was filthy inside, including crumbs and dirt all over the dash and doors, a tacky steering wheel, and the aftermath of a sneeze or some kind of liquid spray all over the interior of the windshield. (I would have refused and requested another van, but I was already well over an hour into my reservation period at that point, so it was quicker to clean the necessary bits myself.) The ONLY decent part of the experience was that the drop-off the next morning was quick and painless.

George M.This does not pertain to the actual location, but to the UHaul app. The UHaul app was buggy and froze while trying to use it. Since UHaul penalizes customers $20 if they elect to return equipment after hours without using app, and the app does not work well, I will be looking elsewhere next time I need to rent.
Douglas S.I had a reservation for a 15 foot truck with ramp to move a 2800 square-foot house but when I showed up they didn't even have the truck and the only thing they were able to give me was a 10 foot box truck with no ramp. This caused us to need to make at least 3 to 4 more trips than we would have and we didn't have a ramp for loading her furniture which caused much more physical stress. In the end for all of our trouble and extra cost in mileage they credited me $20. That is beyond ridiculous and I am livid and will never return due to how this was handled.
jen M.I arrived on time to drop off the truck but the directions to check out were so poor it appeared that I was late. No clear indication of where the drop off key box was, having to take multiple pictures etc. The customer should not have to do the job of U-Haul employees. Very disappointed.
Royce G.My situation was poor because I originally ordered a UHaul from one location in a Dayton, but my truck was not there when I arrived. I then had to drive 20 minutes away from my original pickup location for the next available truck, with no additional consideration except 50 more driving miles. Typically, when a company screws up that much, I would expect a reasonable offer to compensate for my incredible inconvenience- like half off, or even a credit to a future ride, but that didn't occur, which is why I will hesitate to come back for repeat business.

The sides of the trailer is dented when I picked up and the trailer tires had cupping. I can provide pictures if necessary. The lady also working there was showing her cleavage by wearing a low cut top. Very unprofessional!! Me nor my family need to see that!

The air conditioner did not work, resulting in a very uncomfortable drive in nearly 100 degree heat. To make matters worse, there was hot air coming from the lower vents and one of the upper vents despite the fans being shut off. The brakes and steering were concerning too. At times I was afraid the vehicle was not going to stop. I've never been so uncomfortable in a Uhaul.

Terry S.Entire experience was terrible. Tried to do online to avoid waiting but got stuck in an online loop and couldn't get it processed. Then Waited in line for 40 minutes to get keys. The two staff members God bless them were trying but they were so slow to move - and it's clear they were severely understaffed. The truck was dirty, smelled like marijuana, air conditioning didn't work at all and the heat that blew from the floor over 40 mph was nearly unbearable. Extremely hot and just miserable.

Bruce H.The truck absolutely reeked like cigarette smoke. I understand that once a vehicle is smoked in, it's nearly impossible to rid, or enforce no smoking for further rentals. However, the truck stink, and I felt dirty the entire time I was in the truck.

The Manager Chelsea Holmann was disrespectful using foul language, calling me a liar when I went to her for help on more than 3 occasions to fix the IT problem keeping me from accessing my account. She told me to “make up addresses” and other information so she lacks honesty, certainly has NO INTEGRITY AT ALL. When calling to see the rent was paid since I lived out of town, I was hung up on, verbally abused and overall, he general staff was NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE at all as to how to do the job they were charged with doing, making it even more difficult. There were 2 young men who were always finding themselves apologizing for the problem with my account and doing a nice job. But unfortunately, they also felt the need to apologize for Chelsea’s lack of management and nasty behavior. Overall, I will NEVER EVER recommend nor use U-Haul again and will do everything I can to discourage anyone I know from using the Miamisburg U-Haul so they don’t have similar problems. As I stood for over an hour waiting to be helped because people were on smoke breaks, didn’t know how to handle storage issues or whatever the excuses were that day. Chelsea hires many who have her same disposition; gravely flawed… but she works well with those people. Unfortunate that customers suffer!

Hopefully the staff ( mostly the ones at check in snd check out) won’t depend on the manager to do everyone’s job. I also called uhaul to get a truck last month and when I got there they said they had no tricks that went one way. No one offered me any other option but to pay my storage unit for me to pay another month. I drove two hours got off work for the whole move and then I got a call from customer service rep who just lectured me in stead of giving any apology for the staffs rudeness and unwillingness to help . The uhaul units are nice the areas are clean but the customer service is terrible. The manager Jeremy was helpful

Maybe have 3 people , one person extra thats p/t to help with line. Website also does not always work to check in, by pass line too. One person knows everything there and most of the others not so much and always has to stop and help that person on the pc. Give them better training on the system so they can be just as efficient. Just my 2 cents.
