They did not walk me to the vehicle, they just told me it was one in the yard, and then I had to locate it myself. Then I get inside, and there are boxes in it from the people before. The truck was also parked between two others, and I had to go in and find someone to move the other truck, so I could get out. I asked the U-haul dealership in Kalispell for an additional day because my apartment was not ready for occupancy. When I arrived in Dayton I was informed that another day was delayed for painting. I went to the Dayton center on the day the contract was then scheduled for return and asked for a day extension, which they said would be fine and at no additional charge. However, I was billed for the 2 additional days which I found to be very offensive. I will not use U-Haul in the future.Kenneth F.

The man at the counter was very rude and was trying to tell me that I wouldn't be able to get the back truck back within the two hour timeframe and he wasn't gonna let me rent the truck. We chose this particular storage facility because we saw that it had a loading dock in the back and that our unit would be close to it. When we pulled up to the loading dock, we saw some traffic cones on their sides and caution tape strewn around haphazardly, but we ignored it because--again--the loading dock was the only reason we chose this facility. While unloading, Evan Goode walked up to us and asked us to move our U-haul truck. We asked him why, and he told us that there would be construction done in that area very soon and the workers would need to get in the area. When I asked him when the workers were expected to arrive, he said "sometime this week." I could not believe it. When we asked if there was anything he could do, or if he could instead give us a call when the workers arrive, he began to debate us about the proper treatment of traffic cones, saying "what do you do when you see traffic cones on the street?" We asked him if we could finish up our load before leaving and he said that he couldn't wait around all day--it seemed as if he wanted to get home and didn't want to help us. As the conversation went on, he threatened to tow our vehicle if we did not move. We were forced to move our vehicle to the front, which was VERY far from our unit. The worst part is that after we left, we looked around back and saw that the construction workers had not even arrived yet. My wife and I moved out whole house together without any help, after I had injured my knees, and Evan found a way to make our lives even harder. In the future, I would recommend that Evan understand that people who are in the process of moving are usually not having a good time; they are hot and sweaty and tired and do not need extra stress. Rented 15' Truck. 110k miles on it. Drove 400+ miles. Constant wind whistle in truck cab while driving between 55-65 mph. Had to wear headphones to drown out noise. Brakes pulsated badly when applied and shimmy in steering wheel.KEVIN R.

Trucks were not maintained. I had two trucks within a few days, both steering wheels seemed loose. I was afraid driving. I've used U-Haul over the years when I moved and they were never like that. The first I got was terrible to drive, and the second one the engine light came on and we had to return it. Neither truck should be on the road.Thomasa C.

I never enjoy having to use Uhaul. Everything is overpriced and they find every reason to charge you vs any other store and the vehicles are the lowest quality you can find. We rented a truck from Home Depot not too long ago for a flat rate of $20. This was almost 4x that amount. And the vehicle didn't even have the same safety features the ones from Home Depot do.Samuel C.

Couple of things: I'm anal about tire pressure so I checked the pressure on the truck. It was right on the money, good job. I had ordered 12 furniture blankets ($20) but I only got 6 and got refunded $5 instead of $10. The hand-truck in the back of the truck takes up useful space, so I removed it. They wanted to charge me $7 for the use of the dolly but I argued that I didn't use it, I just needed the space, and they didn't charge me. Overall, the truck worked out well.William F.

If they were outside smoking a cigarette or a vape (right out front) and got “interrupted” by a customer they would rush through what ever needed to be done just so they could get back to hanging out outside. Upon reservation I gave all info however once arriving at facility I was asked again even after supplying my identification. I also corrected the spelling of my street, my email address and my phone number. After several hours passed I accessed my email receipt only to find those items were still incorrect. (The incorrect email address is still on my account) I drove back to the facility and told agent of the incorrect items and shortly thereafter my next email still was incorrect. Some staff were very helpful with my account that wouldn’t allow me to go online and pay rent. The Manager Chelsea Holmann was disrespectful using foul language, calling me a liar when I went to her for help on more than 3 occasions to fix the IT problem keeping me from accessing my account. She told me to “make up addresses” and other information so she lacks honesty, certainly has NO INTEGRITY AT ALL. When calling to see the rent was paid since I lived out of town, I was hung up on, verbally abused and overall, he general staff was NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE at all as to how to do the job they were charged with doing, making it even more difficult. There were 2 young men who were always finding themselves apologizing for the problem with my account and doing a nice job. But unfortunately, they also felt the need to apologize for Chelsea’s lack of management and nasty behavior. Overall, I will NEVER EVER recommend nor use U-Haul again and will do everything I can to discourage anyone I know from using the Miamisburg U-Haul so they don’t have similar problems. As I stood for over an hour waiting to be helped because people were on smoke breaks, didn’t know how to handle storage issues or whatever the excuses were that day. They define need experienced staff. The manager had to keep helping the new workers. I was interrupted several times. Hopefully the staff ( mostly the ones at check in snd check out) won’t depend on the manager to do everyone’s job. I also called uhaul to get a truck last month and when I got there they said they had no tricks that went one way. No one offered me any other option but to pay my storage unit for me to pay another month. I drove two hours got off work for the whole move and then I got a call from customer service rep who just lectured me in stead of giving any apology for the staffs rudeness and unwillingness to help . The manager was so mean, I couldn’t believe how they were representing your company, it was aweful . Brett and customer service brought me back to uhaul. Although I would recommend anyone to go to that location, I would recommend a different one. I really would like to talk to someone about this. The manager and her mother will ruin that location.
