I used to use this location to rent trailers frequently. This experience was horrible. I never wrote reviews but this requires it. I parked my truck where I was told to by a U-Haul employee who was hooking up the trailer. There was about 6 feet between my trick and other U-Haul trucks. I got out of my truck and left the door open since I was going to need to do a light check on the trailer. Another U-Haul employee was driving a forklift with a big load on it. He was going in reverse at full speed in the 6 foot space between my trick and another U-Haul truck. He almost hit me and was heading right for my door. I started yelling for him to stop since he was going to rip my door right off my truck and cause thousands of dollars worth of damage. He finally slammed on the brakes and the forklift was resting right up on my open door. He did in fact hit the door. I told him to pull forward so I could close my door. Thankfully he barely tapped it and there was no bad damage. I asked him if he has mirrors and was using them. He than had the audacity to tell me yea I have fucking mirrors and I should’ve had my doors closed. He could care less about the dame he almost caused nor the fact that he almost hit me if I didn’t jump out of the way. I asked another employee to speak with the manager. He stated he was a manager. After telling him what happened, he said he needed to get the other manager. After exposing what happened he said the employees are not supppsed to drive the forklifts within 40 feet of customers. He said he would document what took place to have on file. Wether he did or not I do not know, that employee that caused all of this should be fired immediately. He is a terrible representation for this business and will cause nothing but problems and clearly thinks it’s ok to treat customers like crap and cuss at them. I will never go to this U-Haul location again or U-Haul services anywhere. The actions and behavior of this employee are beyond unacceptable.

Kien QEquip was clean. Not sure about well maintained. Someone who knows more than I do needs to test drive. Several times it made a noise that sounded like a transmission problem. Fortunately I just had a.couple of short runs. I was so tired when I turned it in a forgot to mention it.
Mary MI reserved a unit for $104 and was told there were elevators yet didn't mention elevators aren't at all locations then told me there were no units anywhere for $104 even showing proof on my phone ended up paying$148. Very misleading.

Michael TPickup and dropoff is always easy. Staff is helpful and efficient. I would suggest maybe a bit more thorough cleaning of the vehicles, as it was apparent that while there were no glaring messes in the driver's area, it also had not been cleaned: there was something gritty in the buttons and the previous renter left their sunglasses in the cupholder - which would have been noticed quickly had the dashboard been cleaned at all.
ELIZABETH LThis location has a staffing issue. Seems like only one employee works there to service many people. This location also has issues with the theft of gas, so your rental is sometimes delayed as they have to run to the gas station to fill up a gas can and return. The staff that works there are great, management needs to help them out and secure your vehicles tanks from always being siphoned..

Laura HI was charged for another month of storage even though I had vacated the unit in plenty of time and visited the office to complete the paperwork. Mistakes happen, but this one should have been rectified right away. It took me numerous phone calls to get a return phone call. other than that, I was very satisfied, but that was a deal breaker.

Michael TThe person giving me the rental was horrible. He kept insisting on a secondary phone number. I told him that I had just been at that location a week before and I had a rental agreement that did not have a secondary phone number. He said that was impossible, I went and looked at my receipts from last week, and it does not have a secondary phone number. but he continued to insist that without a secondary phone number I could not make a rental. I do not have a second phone, a lot of people do not have landline anymore so they do not have secondary phones. So you’ve made me feel like crap for not having a secondary phone, said he would not do the rental for me unless I gave him the secondary phone. So I gave him Pizza Hut’s phone number. Then he was able to give me the rental. He then later proceeds to have me park in the handicap stall as a handicap person is trying to get out of the car. I told him I did not want to, and he said it was fine. Then he proceeded to tell me that it’s their policy to ask for secondary phone numbers as we had already gone past that and he was installing the rental. So here is a person telling me that there is a policy for a secondary phone number, that is sometimes enforce, and sometimes not, as he is having me park in the handicap section as a handicap person, trying to go through. No, I do not recommend this location at all. either that, or I would recommend this location if employees like this did not work there. The employee that helped me the previous week was amazing! this employee was not.

Vithuyen DCheck the motor of the trucks before rent it is dangerous to let a costumer drive a truck in bad condition . I rent the truck and I didn’t move my furniture coz the truck engine light turned on and the truck start moving slow I try to call for help and no one answer the phone I have to return back with out used the truck to move my furniture. I’m disappointed at the rent place they charge me more coz de miles and the gas it was 1 line lower from gasoline. And I pay for a truck it put my self in danger went the engine light turn on and the truck start slow down and no one answer the phone to help me . Thanks God I drive slow and I return the truck to the place I rented 😡.
Maria GWe used the app to bypass the line and questions about insurance etc. we still had to wait and answer questions. Why use the app? Also, $80 for 2 hours is crazy especially when we have to pay for refueling . We’ll use home dept next time. The workers at the facility were professional and awesome.
Eric DTechnology or the grumpy boys working made the experience rough. First I open door at 7 only to be told “I’ll open it” okay no biggie. I probable save him 40 seconds to walk to the door and open I give my info, he dumps a baskets of key on counter pull one that was for the truck I was given per my order. I come back in and the other guy goes and gets the van that was elsewhere. I was confused but the doing it on the app didn’t workout so well. And they only exasperated the process. Oh well won’t use U-haul again. Not even close out. Couldn’t take pic due to service due came on screen. I just took a pic with that and drop my keys they too busy. Not even thanks. Yeah not again. Get more help for these guys you fat cats.

Marisol BI got charged for a second day after returning it after hours even though I had it for less than 12 hours total. Staff was rude and not friendly. One of them said they were sick and still was at work. Truck was very dirty on the truck bed floor. Ive used uhaul several times and this location was by far the dirtiest and had the worst customer service of them all. Will not be using this uhaul location in the future.

That is a ridiculous idea for storage units. "Hey Janet, do you want to need to drop things at storage at the same time? We can tie my stuff on the roof since you drive a Mini!" Duh. I don't know anyone at that unit anyway! So I guess the place could do with more parking but that seems unrealistic. I am a little concerned that I will find it tough to access my space a certain times of day. Meanwhile I will be trying it to see.

Laura V | Overall ExperienceDear U Haul, Pls recognize with great distinction the customer service of Megan at your Westminister office on Beach Blvd in California. When I arrived exhausted from an 8 hour one way trip from Chico CA, I found that my storage unit had a leak & was no longer available for my things. I had friends with me who had volunteered to help me empty the U Haul truck and we were all very tired..I became frustrated & started to cry a bit from exhaustion. Megan was so so wonderful..she was very quick to offer as many Pods and locks as needed so that I cud at least in load the truck. She went way above and beyond in the way she spoke and helped & treated me like a person and a friend instead of just "a customer" She also offered to move the pods anytime I needed to access my things & make it convenient to get to them. She then also followed up with me when a unit finally did become avail and was able to set up a date and help me get checked in the day I came back to move it all in. Aaron [the Mgr] was also wonderful and compensated me fairly for the double labor. I am so grateful to Megan for being so amazing..she really represented U Haul well and I will be a lifelong customer because of how her actions made me feel about your brand name. But more than anything..please allow her to feel as appreciated as she made me feel that day. PLEASE honor her with some sort of special gift and recognition for going above and beyond🙏🏼. Elevator to storage units did not work for months and suddenly I received an email stating I’m being charged more due to the quality of their work… makes no sense. What quality when the elevator didn’t work for months? On top of that the card reader for checking in and out by the storage elevators didn’t work either so you have to check in in the main building. Not sure why the upcharge was there. Move out process was also a pain. Had to talk to 3 different people before being able to properly move out of my unit.

I was offered free 30 day storage when I rented a moving truck and when I got there, I was greeted by a friendly face named Megan! She is one badass woman who was beyond helpful. But I see in my paperwork that I was charged for the first month, So I need to get this cleared up. I would give less for how DIFFICULT it was to contact the people at the facility, and that it was not AT ALL DISCLOSED to me that my storage unit rate would continuously increase. I moved (due to military) to another country, and was unable to reach ANYONE via phone or email until I could call uhaul corporate.

The only thing I was displeased about was the information regarding Storage Access hours. On the email, storage access hours says it’s from 5am-10pm; however, I came to the unit on Saturday around 9pm, and there was no access into the building (the garage was closed). The next day, I got to the unit and saw a sign near the elevator with storage access hours closing at 7pm, instead of 10pm like the email said. Tom explained that access into the building closes at 7pm, but you have until 10pm to leave the building. However, that wouldn’t make sense for the 5am opening time for access hours? If the building doesn’t open until 7am, how is someone supposed to have access at 5am? The information in the email is very misleading. Please correct the information in the email. This would be very useful for future first-time customers.

We really appreciate your communication regarding any situation, like when we failed to throw the latch over far enough on one of our units. We even placed the lock on it and didn’t realize it wasn’t over completely. Store manager Aaron alerted us with a phone call within 24 hours. We went down there and with the assistance of a employee, locked the unit correctly. That is so impressive and extremely important. Thanks again😁 keep up the good work!

Andrell G | Overall ExperienceThe cleanliness of the facility, the amenity of the elevator and carts, the security features, and most importantly the staff made this the best uhaul experience we have even had. Most times that we interact with the uhaul brand the staff is disinterested and a bit short with clients, but this was not the case here. Bravo to the team at this location. The one comment for improvement would be the layout of the yard for getting into the storage until loading zone. If the tow trailers could be moved elsewhere that would make the logistics of coming in and out much easier. It is a small space though, so the challenges are understood.
