last minute need to pick up a large piece of furniture. Nelvin was great, he checked to see what was available, and the process went smoothly and quickly. The drop off was a bit lengthy but nothing too complicated either. Really like U haul for my transportation needs. The van I used smelled onions.. maybe a deodorization would have been sweet. My clothes smelled Onion when I got home lol It could have been much worse though.

I didn’t use the truck I took it back. The guy told me that there’s no charge for the rental. Only the mileage which was like nine mileage cause my job got canceled. Well what happened they charged me the rental and he wrote in my contract that no charge for the rental and they still charge me. It’s just the principal and he’s a liar. I’m not happy and I would rather go to a different route. Thank you and I want my money back and I have proof in my contract that he rode no rental charge.

Easy checkout and check in. Please add a vending machine for drinks because after moving we are thirsty and a bottle of water would be nice! They said other people said that same thing. How about vending machines for some drinks when we show up hot, sweating and thirsty? That would be appreciated!

Sunday morning at 9a was a circus! 10 people waiting to checkout or return and only 1 agent. I was on time but was told to put my keys in the return box and they didn't actually record it over an hour later was assessed a late fee. Good thing I called main customer service and they reversed it

I sent a review yesterday, but I think the horrible way I was treated deserves another complaint!! Being told by one of your employees to “Fuck Off Asshole” is still really upsetting me. That older man constantly vaping, and obviously getting jacked up on nicotine, and treating me like garbage, is completely unacceptable. He should be forced to give me a verbal apology, then fire his ass!!
I rent from this location multiple times a year, but not anymore. I will find a place where the employees don’t tell there customers to Fuck Off Asshole!!! And honestly, I don’t think writing out these complaints will do any good whatsoever, and I will never hear from you about this.

The salesperson who checked us in didn’t appear to want to help with us trying to hook up our hitch. We had trouble trying to insert our lock pin that holds the hitch into the mount. When I asked if we were doing anything wrong, he just stood there and didn’t bother to come physically check. He shrugged his shoulder and only said we sell the pins inside. Considering he does or looks at these types of towing hitches, it would have been nice to at least physically come and see what we were doing wrong. We eventually figured it out ourselves and bought a pin lock. Better customer service would be appreciated.

The gentleman who assisted me at the beginning who checked me in and gave me the keys has an attitude.
He’s not very friendly and when I asked for clarification, he just stared at me.
This isn’t my first time dealing with him. Twice now he’s kind of a jerk in a very passive aggressive way.
The rest of the staff is nice and friendly, and I have no issues with.

The location was very well stocked with supplies. However the Insurance info was not in the truck when it was supposed to be. I got into an accident when I had almost arrived at my new home, and while it eventually did get resolved, I was on the side of the freeway for hours while a highway patrol officer, while having to go through several different people from both U-Haul and the Insurance agency who just kept looping me around, until eventually the officer informed the U-Haul representative that they were obstructing the law by not cooperating, leading to the manager of the location emailing the insurance to the officer. I was almost given a several hundred dollar ticket for something I had no control over, and had that officer not been so understanding and patient, I would’ve been stuck with a ticket I was never able to afford.

I used a van for literally 2-3hrs for a 7 miles trip and the total was $55. It's just too much. We shouldn't be paying mileage $0.99 per mile below a certain distance. It's ridiculous. I will do my best to have to use you guys in the future. You are too expensive.

I arrived at the uhaul office and told Nevin I had a reservation. Within 30 seconds, he had the computer screen open, and checked everything over. I had sent in a CDL photo. By the time I had my credit card out, Nevin was ready. I had requested a dolly as well. Within two minutes, he was on his way out to the truck to be sure the dolly was loaded in. Just over 5 minutes, I was on my way. Super efficient here. 12 hours of use for $100 dollars, including the insurance. Thanks for making it a great day Nevin

I was very impressed with the customer service and care both locations I worked with for this provided me on 08/20/2025. First, I arrived at the 7422 Garden Grove location, Westminster, CA, where I THOUGHT I had reserved a truck, but I had not followed through on the text to lock in the reservation, merely gained a quote (my fault, the instructions were clear, and I messed it up). When I showed up thinking I'd be picking up my truck there, the most wonderful man helped me quickly and professionally to secure a truck and car trailer from another U-Haul nearby as he did not have what I needed at his location. So Grateful for his help. Then I went immediately on to the 15182 Beach Bl location where two other amazing men helped me get my truck quickly and cheerfully, even though it was a last minute arrangement. I was able to still get to my storage unit in time for the movers to load the truck. Then I went back and had the trailer put on, my car loaded, and I was on my way. I do not believe you can improve on such excellence, as BOTH locations were the absolute BEST! and Yes, I would most definitely recommend these locations and their first-rate professionals to anyone considering a move. Gentlemen, I am MOST Grateful for your kind service. The move went Great! I have another load to take next week and I will use y'all again!

Customer service from Nevin and Alvin was Excellent! The fleet department may need a checklist to confirm that the vehicle does not have issues. Tire pressure was low upon receipt. After U-Haul added air, tire pressure return to low after the move and return of vehicle. The driver side window was not stable and kept swinging left... Needed to stick head out the window to change lanes. Vehicle was dirty on hood. Thank you!

I showed up at my reservation time at 830am for mobile pick up, but as I clicked “pick up my equipment” I got an alert saying that there was no vehicle assigned to my reservation… the support was quick to pick up and adjust my reservation to 9am, but had to wait 30min until the store opened and speak to an associate. I’m just rly glad I didn’t schedule this any earlier or have movers waiting on me otherwise this would’ve been incredible frustrating.

Pick up process was efficient and the employee was clearly experienced. Good selection of rentals on the lot. Hooked up the trailer for me so no need to wash my hands.
There was damage to the trailer fender at pick up. No big deal to me, but one of the fender hold-downs could not reach the bent fender, so it made a lot of noise on the road. (Not the best advertisement for U-Haul having one of their branded trailers rolling down the road making a huge racket.)

I have been using storage for 20 years since moving to Southern California from east coast. This storage faculty on beach blv was by far the best experience that I have ever had. Tom Ngo was always so helpful when renting trucks or moving multiple storage units. He is probably the main reason I stayed at this location, always available and kept the place clean and safe. The manager Aaron even helped me with a heavy peice of furniture that was falling off of the trailer.

I have one small complaint. We were there for 9 years, and pared down our need for the unit size we had. On Numerous Occasions I asked for a smaller, less expensive unit. I found the ACTUAL location nearly impossible to reach by phone...with persistent referrals to their 800 line who NEVER seemed to be capable of helping me or ACCURATELY conveying my issues to the franchise branch involved. In THIS case I was attempting to close out my storage unit in a BILLING TIMELY MANNER (cloed it and surrendered content on AUGUST 10TH)...BUT ACKNOWLEDGMENYS & PAPERWORK NOT ISSUED UNTIL AUGUST 12TH. THE CLOSE OUT THEN IMPLIED UHAUL TOO THE TRANSACTION THRU THE NEXT MONTH'S BILLING CYCLE.
This extended my transaction an EXTRA month and defeated my intent to close the account when no future billing was due.

I was charged for another month of storage even though I had vacated the unit in plenty of time and visited the office to complete the paperwork. Mistakes happen, but this one should have been rectified right away. It took me numerous phone calls to get a return phone call. other than that, I was very satisfied, but that was a deal breaker.

I am content so far. I have only been one time. It was startling to be told by someone at corporate to try rideshareing to the facility. That is a ridiculous idea for storage units. "Hey Janet, do you want to need to drop things at storage at the same time? We can tie my stuff on the roof since you drive a Mini!" Duh. I don't know anyone at that unit anyway! So I guess the place could do with more parking but that seems unrealistic. I am a little concerned that I will find it tough to access my space a certain times of day. Meanwhile I will be trying it to see.

Dear U Haul,
Pls recognize with great distinction the customer service of Megan at your Westminister office on Beach Blvd in California.
When I arrived exhausted from an 8 hour one way trip from Chico CA, I found that my storage unit had a leak & was no longer available for my things. I had friends with me who had volunteered to help me empty the U Haul truck and we were all very tired..I became frustrated & started to cry a bit from exhaustion.
Megan was so so wonderful..she was very quick to offer as many Pods and locks as needed so that I cud at least in load the truck. She went way above and beyond in the way she spoke and helped & treated me like a person and a friend instead of just "a customer" She also offered to move the pods anytime I needed to access my things & make it convenient to get to them.
She then also followed up with me when a unit finally did become avail and was able to set up a date and help me get checked in the day I came back to move it all in.
Aaron [the Mgr] was also wonderful and compensated me fairly for the double labor.
I am so grateful to Megan for being so amazing..she really represented U Haul well and I will be a lifelong customer because of how her actions made me feel about your brand name. But more than anything..please allow her to feel as appreciated as she made me feel that day. PLEASE honor her with some sort of special gift and recognition for going above and beyond🙏🏼.

When initially signing up they mentioned I would have 24 hour access to the storage unit. I quickly found out that was a lie. Elevator to storage units did not work for months and suddenly I received an email stating I’m being charged more due to the quality of their work… makes no sense. What quality when the elevator didn’t work for months? On top of that the card reader for checking in and out by the storage elevators didn’t work either so you have to check in in the main building. Not sure why the upcharge was there. Move out process was also a pain. Had to talk to 3 different people before being able to properly move out of my unit.

If I ever need storage again this would be my first choice. I was never worried or overthinking about my storage safety I knew it was secured. That peace of mind is not easily available just anywhere but U-Haul Moving & Storage Of Midway gave me that.

Moving is a very stressful experience, especially when it comes to having help moving stuff into storage. I was offered free 30 day storage when I rented a moving truck and when I got there, I was greeted by a friendly face named Megan! She is one badass woman who was beyond helpful. She even helped me move a quarter of a car into my storage unit! She brought us some snacks and waters throughout the day and was nothing but helpful during a stressful time. Someone give her a raise!

I rented a U-Haul trailer to move from Oregon/Washington to California. As part of the rental, I got one free month of storage space. But I see in my paperwork that I was charged for the first month, So I need to get this cleared up. Yesterday I went there at 5pm not knowing that the place closes early, so I'll have to go back today to pick up some things I need.

I am only giving 3 stars for the ease of access and cleanliness of the facilities. I would give less for how DIFFICULT it was to contact the people at the facility, and that it was not AT ALL DISCLOSED to me that my storage unit rate would continuously increase. I moved (due to military) to another country, and was unable to reach ANYONE via phone or email until I could call uhaul corporate.

Everything was great and Tom was really helpful in helping me switch to a bigger unit. The only thing I was displeased about was the information regarding Storage Access hours. On the email, storage access hours says it’s from 5am-10pm; however, I came to the unit on Saturday around 9pm, and there was no access into the building (the garage was closed). The next day, I got to the unit and saw a sign near the elevator with storage access hours closing at 7pm, instead of 10pm like the email said. Tom explained that access into the building closes at 7pm, but you have until 10pm to leave the building. However, that wouldn’t make sense for the 5am opening time for access hours? If the building doesn’t open until 7am, how is someone supposed to have access at 5am? The information in the email is very misleading. Please correct the information in the email. This would be very useful for future first-time customers.

Thanks for being there for our important storage needs at this facility over all these many years. We depend on this facility for secure, & clean storage, we now have 3. We really appreciate your communication regarding any situation, like when we failed to throw the latch over far enough on one of our units. We even placed the lock on it and didn’t realize it wasn’t over completely. Store manager Aaron alerted us with a phone call within 24 hours. We went down there and with the assistance of a employee, locked the unit correctly. That is so impressive and extremely important. Thanks again😁 keep up the good work!

I ran into some trouble on the road with my Uhaul truck and they listened to my woes and helped me get into contact with the right people. The storage unit's are very clean and secure. The cleanliness of the facility, the amenity of the elevator and carts, the security features, and most importantly the staff made this the best uhaul experience we have even had. Most times that we interact with the uhaul brand the staff is disinterested and a bit short with clients, but this was not the case here. Bravo to the team at this location. The one comment for improvement would be the layout of the yard for getting into the storage until loading zone. If the tow trailers could be moved elsewhere that would make the logistics of coming in and out much easier. It is a small space though, so the challenges are understood.

We paid rent on the 23rd of June (auto payment), moved out on June 27th that's when we were informed that no rent prorate. That is unacceptable, I m sure by now the space has been rented. They prorated when we moved to a smaller space.
