The equipment I picked up from the Uhaul in Temple was fine. My problem with my Uhaul experience is this was the 2nd location I had to go to in order to rent a truck. I reserved a truck on Friday and spoke to a customer service representative about my reservation and was told a 20 truck was available and ready for pick up. When I got to the location in Waco to pick up the truck there was no one to help me and the truck I reserved was not at the site. I had to contact customer service again to search for a truck that was 30 minutes away.Angela M.

I moved out my unit on the 4th of July and was told if I spoke to the manager I could get my refund for the month however nothing has happened. I had to call the facility again because I didn't see a refund on my account nor was the unit actually closed out. I had to relocate due to domestic violence in my home and needed the money for gas. I reserved a trailer to tow my vehicle and somewhere along the way - when my resignation was moved from Killeen Location to temple, they lost that info and charged me more than I was quoted. I also never got a call from a Uhaul representative like my reservation email said they would. I didn't get a call until the morning for pickup and when I tried to call the pickup location they told me they weren't Uhaul and I needed to call customer service. Pick up location was randomly moved to another location upon my arrival. The person in the Temple Texas office wanted me to pick up my reserved and paid for trailer in Killeen. This was after confirmation everything was set to go the night before. Calling uhaul is terrible it's almost as if the wait times on the phone are to deter customers from calling (I called multiple times and waited 60+ minutes). Overall I will not be using uhaul again.John F.

It took over an hour to get the rental. First my rental was changed from a 26' to a 20' last minute AND the location for pickup was nearly 30 miles further away from my selected location. Then when I arrived on location it took over 20 mins for someone to respond on the 24/7 pickup website. The location www not open and specifically picked an early time because I was assured that if I uploaded my license and completed my emergency contact it would be fast so I could pack early. Instead I sat on hold for 40 mins before getting redirected to the main line. My husband was on his phone calling and was hung up on twice after finally getting an operator. Finally after an hour of waiting IN THE RAIN, a operator came to the line and explained that my contacts must answer the phone. NEVER was I told this and my contacts were not even awake. No one would help. Each and every operator was rude and uninformed of the process. I had to start my move much later than anticipated AND did not have enough space like I had reserved. I have moved 5 times in the last 5 years and each time I would choose uhaul. Even taking a cross country move with a tow trailer. I will encourage my employer, family, and friends to no longer choose uhaul based off of this treatment.Leslie J.
Had a bad experience with the U-Haul storage place down the street for canceling my order and not telling me and I called them with a last minute request for a storage unit that day and because I had a 20 foot U-Haul full I needed to put into a storage unit temporarily and they helped me get in that day even when it was close to closing time.Kelsey P. | First Impressions

Honor your commitment for the delivery appointment. Experience was a complete disaster as kept getting bounced around from one rep to another with nobody able to help as local UHaul location would not return calls. Spent from 9am until 4pm trying to get someone who could tell me when the box would be delivered. Received an earlier confirmation stating the box would be delivered at 2:30pm. At 4:15pm I had to beg the local UHaul provider to honor the delivery commitment. They delivered at 4:45pm. They then said they'd pickup the box the next day, but did not until the following day after I called again to ask why they hadn't picked up the box. The couple who we picked up our paperwork from were crazy redicilious. The guy came out and started helping us hook it up. He told me his old lady was going to be pissed because I was a woman ans she didn't like him dealing with pretty women. Well then she came out and was rude was yelling at him across the parking lot asking him what he was doing. Saying we didnt rent a trailer. It wasn't green on her screen. I walked insided re she was standing there. I told her I had the called and name reservation. And was doing the pickup. She told me she had ro have my license. I told her I had already down loaded it. She said tou don't want a trailer do you. I gave it to her. Then she put that in and asked for payment. I had already paid. And showed her the confirmation. She Then told mw.id tou want ro.ralk ro someone tou talk to me not to Mt ols man. I said very rudely firlni.dont want your man. And went to walk nodded she said then don't talk to him. I thought this was very unprofessional. Ans did not want to return. I took the trailer to a different place to turn it in . I called the uhaul number and talked to a lady told her what had happened ans that I was leaving the trailer there. She asked for the address. I gave it to her. Now they are trying ro charge me 238 dollars more. I has to go get it from the other location and take it back to the rude lady location. Thwy still are charging me after they just said they weren't. The sign-in instructions could be a bit clearer. I did not realize until I asked an employee that I needed to use the keypad to sign into the storage facility even during business hours to avoid setting off the alarm. This location (Drop off) was oustanding and compassionate about me and their services by going above and beyond!!! However, my pick-up location in Tucson (450 N Freeway) made my move a horrific experience. The assistant Manager (Devin Kirchgatter) need addtional training. He's rude with no understanding or compassion for customers and/or team members. I was extremely disappointed how he even address other uhaul staff at other locations when speaking with them to locate equipment. He actions made me want to cancel my move and just place my belongings in storage. I convinced that he doesn't have a clue to the pressures or emotions that are involved with moving, especially long distance ones. In the past, I've always recommended Uhaul to my family and friends. I called to rent a second 10x20. The exact unit was discussed. I was told when I rented the 1st 10x20 we had till 10pm. I can only deliver at night. 3/6 went to drop a load - the sliding door was locked. I called and a person was there within 20 minutes. I was told the 10x20 was in front of my other unit - licks were on those doors tho. The rep tried to get me another unit however the only one open had a roll up and a door. The door is not good to get furniture in. Even tho numerous 10x10s were available and my assigned were given to someone else, I had to take the door unit or move into another blog. I had my reservation and all however was given a unit I dont like and can hardly get stuff into. I'm sorry uhaul does not have enough 10x20s, and have more than enough 10x10s - more money. I have gone from very satisfied customer to very displeased. I'm letting everyone kno what happened to me and I'm not recommending uhaul to anyone at this time.
