JOSE CTrain your employees to be Understanding Empathetic Patient to All Customers when there is a lack of Proper Communication from the U Haul Employees that caused a Totally Unnecessary Unprofessional situation at the Drop-Off Site in Cicero on Cermak. I got it dumped on me and backed into a corner with no choice and was Forced to have to take the truck to a different location all the way to Chicago on 47th & Homan at 7:17 P.M. Truck was big and we were told we couldn't park it there because they didn't have room for it. They were calling the Wrong phone number to let me know that they didn't want it there. When we got there the employee said it had to go to a different location and I kept telling her we couldn't take that truck to another location. I had to get to the V.A Hospital because my Husband is in there and the Doctors were waiting for me to get there. My mover had to leave and he said he couldn't be driving the truck to Chicago different location. Employees showed Absolutely No Caring Or Concern for me and my Personal Situation or my mover having to leave. The truck rental was in my name and the mover was the driver. We were told that truck couldn't be left there or I would have Consequences. I had to ask my mover to Please help me. He said he would but that was extra time for him. I had to pay him extra money because of all the time that was wasted at that office in Cicero and having to take that truck to Chicago on 47th & Homan. Inadequate thinking on Employees is what caused this. My Storage Unit in Joliet is where I rented that truck and they have my Phone number. UHaul was calling the Wrong number. That was my home phone number which I don't have anymore for Years. What would make Employees to call that number and when they couldn't reach me Why didn't they Call my Storage Unit in Joliet and ask them if I had a different phone number because they couldn't reach me on the one they had ?? My Storage unit would've given them my Current Cell Phone Number. Then they could've called me right away and they could've figured out a way to move some of the trucks in that lot and rearranged them to make room for the truck that I rented in Joliet and was bringing to Cicero to return it there. Simple Common Sense And A Creative Mind.... I Paid $ 164.00 for Rental Plus $109.06 for Gas and as a Paying Customer And I'm a Senior 75 Years Old And that truck rental And Gas was Paid for by my Husband he is 100 % Disabled Vietnam Veteran in the V.A Care Facility And that money came from his V.A Disability Check.. Very Shabby treatment. No Respect, No Understanding, No Caring, No Concern, No Empathy, No Compassion, No Humanity. That Employee kept saying they forced that truck on them. I kept asking her what did she mean by that. Nobody forced that truck on them. I was given that address because it's the closest to the storage unit that I brought my belongings to. She sounded like a broken record. Like Robots. I was so hungry and tired and my knees were hurting and my feet and ankles are swollen, I have Lymphedema. Couldn't sit down. I was dizzy from being so hungry and I missed my Medicine because I was gone for so long. I was Traumatized.

Vincent RWhen I arrived to pick up a truck in the morning, I was handed the keys to one of the vehicles. Upon opening the truck, I was met with an overwhelming stench of smoked cannabis, which clearly indicated that the vehicle had not been properly inspected or prepared for rental. I requested a different truck and was provided one without issue. The truck was rented for 24 hours, but I planned to return it the same day. I arrived five minutes before the 7 PM closing time. Although the staff was inside, the main lights were off, and the doors were locked. A staff member, without engaging or speaking to me, simply pointed to the key return box through the window. Overall, this was a very poor experience at this location. I will not be renting from here again.

SHERRY JEasy, quick and no hassle when it came to getting my reservation. Staff was helpful when loading and unloading trailer. Trailer was clean and the manager assisted with insuring that trailer was attached and working properly.

DIMITRE DThe problem i had was I made reservations aweek in advance & I live out of state so when I get to the location my trailer isn't there its way across town so I get there & they don't have the parts I need for the trailer so. Now I have to leave again to find the parts mind you I'm dealing with chgo traffic horrible communication

RAUL OAs far as clean it was, but the drive was raggedy. With and without furniture. It's to bouncie. And if you hit a small crack in the road the truck sends you flying upward. Once I pick the truck up I drove home and told my husband I couldn't drive the truck cause it's raggedy. Just driving 4 miles had my back really hurting.

fantasia mInterior was clean. Windshield and front of vehicle covered with bug debris. Windshield was washed but bug remains made it hard to see through sun capture of bug debris. Rr door seal worn out and air noise so loud could not maintain conversation in cab.

linda lThere was something wrong with the latch on the door. It seemed to work OK the first time, but it was difficult. After that, it would not latch. I spent about an hour trying to work on it. Great news, though I was able to go back to the store and they switched me out quickly to one that worked perfectly and I think it was just a maintenance issue that something had gone wrong with that one somewhere along the way. staff at this location is excellent.

Jessica OLocation did not list my U-Haul as a mobile pick up. So when I got to the store at 6am, the keys were not in the lock box. I then called customer service and got redirected to 5 different people. The fifth customer service agent finally told me the store didn’t list my truck as a mobile pick up.
Jacob KI rented the storage place for some years, at first it was convenient but all of a sudden the pricing started to go up. Well I was informed that U haul storage raises the price 3 times out the yr. I experienced when picked up some Christmas decorations there were roaches in my belongings. Now that I have closed my account I have to be cautious about the roaches in my belongings. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Erika LI don't like the fact that when you are emptying out your unit to close it out you're not able to use their dumpster to throw your garbage out. You have to find other ways to get rid of your garbage.
