The associate working saw me walking towards the front door but turned off the lights and locked the doors as I went to return the keys. It was 10 minutes before closing stated on the door and google. Aside from that it was a good experience. Just found it odd.

When people who work at that location who undoubtedly are off work are hanging in the parking lot with family or friends sees a customer enter the store instead of jumping in there cars and just leave, maybe step inside to let the customer know that the employee who is at the far end of the lot will be with you shortly. Especially when all I did was eventually just hand the employee the key to the truck and walk out the door.

My situation with your company was a unique one to say the least. I ordered to have a 10' moving van to be picked up on 01-16-21 in Moline, IL. I ordered the vehicle from Peoria, IL some 110 miles away. The U-haul personelle informed me whomever picked up the vehicle with the proper reference number, could legally legally acquire the vehicle, drive it to Peoria & back to Moline. When the folks arrived on 01-26-21, they were denied access to the vehicle, & were informed they had to purchase their own vehicle & my vehicles, the debit card reservation for the vehicle fee, & the entire reservation was bogus & couldn't be allowed. I had no idea if my debit card had been improperly used, & when I called Moline, a female employee couldn't tell or give me any information an the reservation I had made five days previously. This employee's assistance was less than acceptable because she couldn't or wouldn't answer any of my questions. She was a totally frustrating 😡 person, as she could not or would not answer my questions whatsoever!! It wasn't until I called the Peoria office that I was given the information of my debit card & the status of the reservation. Your company's involvement in this matter was less than acceptable, & your personelle acted as if they didn't give a hoot to my situation, nor wanted to assist me with any assistance!! In other words, they "sucked" at their job, cared less about my situation, & didn't want a thing to do to help me. Your Peoria office was excellent in assisting me, & this office on Dodge St I would personally recommend. The other office in Moline, I would turn into the BBB. I felt it was my responsibility to inform you you & your company how the public is being treated unprofessionally. If I was a business man in charge, I would want to know & be made aware of my company's lack of professionalism, courtesy, lackadaisy attitude. Other than this one obstacle, I was satisfy with your service. My only contact consisted of procuring & securing the financial backing for this small move. Again, I wanted you to be made aware of your company's lack of involvement in this move. I would be interested & curious to how many more moves are conducted under these same conditions. Just so you all understand, I'm not upset with every aspect of your company's responsibility in this move; just your folks in Moline who completely dropped the ball. This branch was supposed to open at 7am, my rental was at 8. When it was time to pick up my key (approximately 8:20) the doors weren't open and the lights were off. I proceeded to wait, someone finally opened the doors just before 9. They were very apologetic and I appreciate that.

Rental was ordered for after-hours pick up and keys were not left in the lock box as indicated. Had to return to the location during business hours the following day during a snow storm to complete the rental. Very Poor Customer Service.

Please make sure the Dolly's have everything on them. Our maintenance dolly only had one ring. It made moving more difficult.

The rental agent was rude and unprofessional. I waited in the office for nearly 10 minutes with no one around. When he did finally come out, he went straight to a shelf and started moving things around, ignoring me. I had to greet him and ask for assistance. He acted like I was bothering him the whole time, and he actually flicked my drivers license back at me. It was really bizarre.

The customer service rep at this location, I'm not sure of his name, referred to my 20 year old son as “little man” when he said no to my son's request to use the bathroom as it was against company policy. I have no problem with the rule. I have a problem with your employee referring to my son as anything but “sir”, as in, “I'm sorry SIR but our restroom is for employees only”. I will not be using this location again unless it is absolutely necessary to meet my needs. I was also less than impressed with the online platform. It required multiple attempts to successfully navigate.

Do not treat customers like employees. Customers do not need to replace the work of checking out and checking in vehicles during normal business hours that are performed by U-Haul employees. Your company markets self-check in as "convenient" to the customer; I don't see how that benefited me as a customer at all. To the contrary, this was a major inconvenience--specifically because I don't normally perform the role of assessing whether the rental vehicle was returned to your company's satisfaction or not. As long as U-Haul has this policy in place, I will be using another moving company for my family's needs.

I rented a 12 foot open trailer yesterday (10/19/20) at 12:00 p.m. I was accommodating to a new employee which caused my rental process to be extended for approximately 30 minutes. It was no big deal to me because the Manager, Kelly (I believe), was great, super friendly and provided fantastic customer service. I rented the trailer for 6 hours but I got called into work so I couldn't return it until 8 a.m. on 10/20/20. As soon as I arrived I was not greeted with a Hello but an already obviously annoyed Ashley Lils. Ashley said she was charging me a second day rental for not having the trailer back in 6 hours. I explained to Ashley that I had the trailer for 20 hours and it made no sense to charge me for having the trailer for 48 hours. I told her what she was doing to me wasn't right. Ashley then said she was going to charge me a cleaning fee. I hauled metal objects not leaves, dirt or rock. This trailer is an open trailer and it is exposed to the elements whether it is parked in my driveway or in the parking lot of the U-Haul store. I told Ashley that too isn't fair because the trailer was returned in the same condition has I had rented it. Ashley said that U-Haul provided cleaning products to clean the trailer when I rented it. This is not true! I was not provided any cleaning products when I rented it and it wasn't dirty. I hauled machinery not yard waste. To sum up my experience Kelly was great Ashley is a thief and bad person. I will be following up with Kelly today about this issue.

Be more professional. Tell people if adapters are needed for electrical ahead of time, so I don't have to pay for an adapter. I would have had one prior if I knew this trailer wasn't the new style. Update you site. I wanted a trailer from Davenport. I didn't want to drive to Moline. Also, don't show that its possible to take a trailer one way if not sites offer it.

Inside of windshield was very dirty. Cab really dusty, not cleaned. When dropping off my ride went to wrong location, I forgot my phone and asked the man at the desk if I could use the phone he said no and I'm not going to.let you use my cell either. He was very rude, no thank you when dropping off, no hi how are you. Very unprofessional. Waited in line 10 min to pick up and same for drop off

I tried to help diagnose wiring problem with first dolly, however, too much corrosion in all connections prevented it from working properly. The second dolly worked fine. Kudos to the women I helped in Moline, she tried very hard to make the wiring work.

Our truck smelled like puke. Called the store for replacement as soon as we opened the back of the truck. Told they had nothing available, didn't offer to clean or replace. Also booked it over the phone with the plan to drop off at another location. Told at pickup there would be upcharge. Terrible customer service. Unprofessional and will not rent from this location again.

The lady was nice at drop off. She had to drive the truck around the building and park it quite a bit away. My husband was inside waiting for her return as I watched outside. It was very hot outside about 95. The lady had to walk the blankets (12) from truck to side of store. She tried to grab them all and get down from truck but they fell. My husband ran out there,, after having a long day of moving, and helped her get them all to the store. We had a charge of around $10.00 for gas (went over on mileage) and she said dont worry about it, you helped me out alot. She was the only employee there and another guy was waiting. Needless to say, we got charged anyways but what are you going to do?

Beginning with Ashley and Team at Moline, IL and finishing with Kristen and Team at Fort Myers, our experiences was “A 12 on a 10 Scale”.. PERFECT ! Everyone deserves a “Pat on the back” for jobs well done. Not one broken item on arrival after a 1375 mile trip. The rental of out two U-Boxes was about $1,000 lower than a half a Pod and we had more room. The savings over “Pods“ was enough to pay for the shipping on our antique convertible. Only 20 mins late to a reservation, and was told our reservation had been canceled. With no courtesy call. Told we were lucky to still have a truck. I transported a car and had lots of things lined up for it to get tuned. I had spoken to the manager and said i would be there 7:30-8ish, which I was, and she made it seem like it wasnt a big deal, however the other employee thought differently. The truck was also somewhat dirty, not gross tho by anymeans, and i get sometimes theres not enough time to get them cleaned, but that was also offputting. Will not be using uhaul again for anything time sensative.

Was charged for being a few minutes late because they changed my drop off location. Couldn't get through to the location for over an hour. I sat in the Uhaul for over 20 minutes waiting to be taken care of by the employees who were staring at me while smoking their cigarettes. I had gotten out of the vehicle to ask what I should do because the sign said I would remain in the vehicle, they said to give them the key and it's done. Then they falsified my drop off time for it to be extra charges. I called over and over, until talking to someone who continuously cut me off and was rude, to finally be told I was going to be “credited” my money that was wrongly taken. Only to find out I was never reimbursed. Terrible.

Your sign says employees must wear masks but zero employees were wearing masks. After I checked in with the Mobile website, it told me that I had to go inside anyway to retrieve the key (which makes the mobile checkin completely pointless). Also, your employee called me by the wrong name and insisted that this wrong name was what was on the record...which is 100% impossible because I set up the reservation and sent a picture of my driver's license with my *correct* name. And the name wasn't just a little wrong or spelled wrong...it was a completely different person's name. I returned the truck around 2 PM but receipt says it was returned at 6:48 PM. Employees were apathetic and unhelpful. Terrible, will never return to this location.

I've used U-Haul numerous times in the past and they've always walked around the truck with me today I was in a hurry and they did not go through anything really with me and when I looked at the mileage when I was pulling out it was at 1119 miles and today when I returned it it was at 1125 miles and they said that I went 30 miles and I didn't I only want 6 miles I put $5 in gas in this pickup truck they said that start out miles was 1095 my which was wrong so now I have to wait until Monday to dispute it I've never had a problem like this with U-Haul and I've rented like four or five trucks

I was charged for an extra day rental. I was charged $21 for using your dolly, but i never even used it my son took it off wall. I was charged $25 cleaning fee even though i cleaned out the truck and $45 for gas even though i put gas in the truck. I paid almost $250 to rent your uhaul and I should have only had to pay $143

The employees were great with helping me complete my reservation i had trouble completing online. They helped me with getting it (trailer) hooked up to my truck. Very courteous and professional. I did write down names but they both definitely deserve recognition for excellent customer service.
