If you allow people to choose a self service option to pick up their vehicle, do not require them to go into the store to get the keys. During other experiences there was a lockbox with a code I was provided and that was perfectly fine.Casey S.

Low rating had nothing to do with this specific location. did the 24/7 pickup at 5:30 pm, and arrived at 5:20 as instructed. when filling out the info for the truck online, the website crashed and would not let us continue uploading pictures of damage and of the dash. after waiting 15 minutes for someone on the live chat to reply, they could not help. We called the phone number we were given and waited another hour before someone even pick up the phone. the person answered, then hung up after about a minute of trying to help us, but we were unaware and and sat on â€œholdâ€ for another 20 minutes. i received an email from that person, and when I responded to the email to ask a question, they never replied and still have not. by the time we left the parking lot, it was almost 7:30 pm, 2 hours after we were supposed to pick up the truckLaura H.

Unavoidably, there were times that I Could Not Rent equipment because other clients rented a â€œOne Wayâ€ Move to far away states that made a Big Shortage of Equipment( trucks, trailers, dollies etc.) @ my location. ALSO, The smoking clients really hurt We Non Smokers. The cabs of Uhaul vehicles reek of Smoke! Nasty! PLEASE HELPTanya M.
If using the online check-in feature, you do not get instructions on how to obtain the key for the truck until you have clicked the â€œI have found my truckâ€ button. You're told to find the key box but not given instructions a code to open the key box until you click the â€œI have found my truckâ€ button. I was confused about this part of the check-in process and was quickly helped by the staff at this location. The check-in process needs to be changed to alleviate confusion in the future. This is not the fault of the staff at this location. 5 stars to the staff!!!BRIAN S.

I understand that the trucks are used by sweaty people moving items from one location to another. However, find a way to lessen the putrid smell in the cabin, as the smell was pretty bad. Maybe the use of a citrus based cleaner would alleviate that smell a little. Additionally, as someone who is renting, ensure that when you do your walk around, that you turn on the headlights as part of your pre-rental check. It was daylight when I rented the truck, and I did not do this. As we returned from moving our son into his college apartment, as it got darker, I noticed that the side truck lights and rear lights were apparently the only ones working. We had no headlights, front turn signals or front parking lights. Also, While trying to figure out why we had no headlights, the headlight control fell into the dashboard, and It appeared this was not the first time that had happened. The dashboard looked as if it had been peeled back several times to fix that same issue. Again, as I was informed by the U-Haul rep when I turned the truck in, that I had "signed the agreement that stated the truck was fine when I left that morning." Hence the warning for any future rental customers.James M.

The associates at this location were professional and polite. The only down side is I reserved a pod unit (the pod is dropped off at a location, you load up your items, and then the pod is transported back to the U Haul facility for storage) in June thru the UHaul national web site, but upon arrival all portable pods were gone. Apparently, there was a "national shortage". I will say, this location was helpful in finding an alternative that worked just as well. I appreciated their suggestions in lieu of the original plans. There was one extremely nice lady with blond hair. I don't know her name but in conversation, she holds a CDL:) She was VERY helpful!!Jacob L.

Next time a customer requests something by a specific day and you agree to have it delivered by then actually do it. Yes my u-box arrived at the U-Haul in Miami well before the expected date but everything after that was a nightmare. My u-box was supposed to be delivered to my stated address since 28 July and after much stress it was finally delivered on 9 August. The number of times my delivery was delayed without any attempt to inform me led to another month's rent for storage being charged. I don't see how it could possibly be considered fair that I have to pay for a mistake I didn't make. My previous experiences with U-Haul had been good but after this one I definitely won't use you again.Gabrielle W.

back to my shitty story. we finally did get everything loved and to my new home but, my step dad was literally pulling up to the house and thought he had enough clearance but did not and hit a tree branch. it cracked the windshield and put a dent in the moms attic. i contacted roadside assistance which is an actual joke and if you take anything from this just do not contact them if you are in an accident. if you can take it to the drop off location and let them deal with it. because a man came and towed the truck and then i never saw it again. i never heard from roadside assistance again. they never told me if it was covered, where the truck was going, or if i would receive a replacement truck. i talked back and forth with multiple uhaul representatives the next day and they were all telling me different stories. no one could find my uhaul and they were trying to get me to file a police report to report it stolen. IT WAS NOT STOLEN YOUR PEOPLE CAME AND TOWED IT! the poor communication that happens in this company is disgusting. it took them 4 days to find the uhaul but of course they didn't tell me. i had to call and get harassed by the shitty customer service because they all talked to me like i was an idiot. the only person that attempted to help me was anthony from the muncie uhaul. he is a great man.Ashley S.
