I did not have any problems with Muskegon site. (The following information is no reflection of them). However that was not the pick up location I reserved. It cost me time and gas to drive out of my way to pick up the truck at that location. I would not have thought anything of it if that had been made clear on the website when making the reservation. Why let me reserve a 26 foot truck from a location that does not have them? Then at short notice force me to go elsewhere to get a truck. And don't even get me started on the non existent drop off location I was given and the goat rodeo that was.Tina G.

For my part, nothing! The team here was super accommodating for us and made the whole rental experience very easy. I had to extend my contract for another 24 hours, and that also was handled extremely well. The ladies I talked to on the phone actually sounded like they wanted to help. The truck I picked up was on empty. I was told that I needed to go across the street and gas it up. I was told that I would get credited for the fuel if I brought it back with 1/4 tank or more. I put in $100 worth of fuel, didn't use even 1/3 of it (there was almost a 1/2 tank left) and was credited $28.50. I WILL NEVER USE U-Haul AGAIN!!David K.

Great location and equipment, however the 24/7 auto rent/drop off system has a lot of glitches. We had excellent internet service, the site itself would kick you off. You save no time especially in the drop off process. I will reiterate that this location is probably one of the best maintained in the UHaul system.Terry N.
Our rental was checked in by one employee and we were checked out by another. I was to receive a refund of $100 after paying cash for the truck. I received $91 back without explanation and when I inquired about the discrepancy the employee was quite rude and stated it was a fuel surcharge and that he wasn't the one who checked in the truck so he didn't know. I was charged for 2 gallons of gas despite having put the same amount in as when we picked it up. I understand that it may have appeared as though we under fueled the truck, and we should have taken a photo of the gauge as we left the Columbus location. However, the employee was extremely rude about it and seemed put off that I would even ask. Definitely won't be returning to this location.Jesse N.

There was a small leak in the roof, but nothing was damaged. Also, the unit was emptied and verified as in good condition as of 10/30/21. My unit was rented on the 27th. And NO proration reimbursement was given. I paid a month's rent for four days? And when I asked asked why, the M.O.D. gave me this reason: "that's just the way it works." The moving experience has been stressful. Once I arrived at Muskegon Uhaul Storage after driving up 14 hours from NC...they didn’t have my storage unit available. I had reserved over a month ago (GM told me they do first come, first serve). I have called the 1800 number 3 times (got a person once & they hung up on me before I could even explain), called Regional Manager (left VM) & sent email to customer service. No reply from anyone. After waiting 3 hours at Uhaul return/storage unit, I finally left & I now have a full Uhaul truck over 2 hours away with no solution. Only bright spot is a different Uhaul location (Houghton Lake) has been trying to help-GM is super friendly & answers her phone.Tamara M. | Overall Experience

24/7 access would be ideal for me in my lifestyle. Being a Professional Trucker I may only be in town for a 10hr break and having ANY access denial is frustrating. The staff were friendly. However, the agent who rented me the truck informed me of the special that month- stating I was eleihible for a one-month free storage unit. And beyond a month it would be regular price. He did not share that the unit was at the dropoff site from my one way trip. I called to reserve the unit, explained that I wanted to take advantage of the special and a different agent booked it. Again I was not told that the unit had to be at the other location. So when I arrived with my belongings to put in the unit I rented, I was surprised to find I was being charged full price.
