I just stopped because I had punctured wheels. Please check the information. Please look at the surveillance cameras. I got out to see what I could have hit, but there was nothing, and after driving a few miles, I drove off. My rear right tire went flat. ROBERT SThe facility was clean and well organized and the gentleman that checked the truck out to me was very good and exceptionally helpfull. The truck itself was clean, but shifted very hard, which wasn't really a problem - just a little uncomfortable. The check in process was very bad. I was told when I checked the truck out that it had a full tank of gas. I drove it 30 miles and before I returned it I had to put 8.5 gallons of gas in it. When was checking it in I told the young lady that was assiting me that there must be something wrong with the gas gage or whomever checked it iin previously had written down the wrong fuel gage reading. She told me that the paperwork was correct and that the truck used 8.5 gallons of gas. I had to get her to use the calculator on her phone to show her that if the truck used 8.5 gal and traveled 30 miles then the truck was getting 3.5 miles per gallon. She finally agreed with me and took me in to see that manager. I had to go through the same exercise with the manager, who finally gave me a $20 Credit. The Manager then told me that the total price for the rental was $170. Again I had to explain to her that I only travled 30 miles. I had to show her that the rental was for $19 for the day and $0.99 per mile plus $16 (i think) for insurance - so the whole rental should be about $66 plus tax and that turned into another mathmatics lesson. The whole thing turned a decent rental into an aggrevating rental.
MICHAEL OMy only issue beside higher average rent prices is I was lock out several times from my unit from the exterior lock due to a faulty door handle and it was pretty inconvenient but other than that I love this store and have over 10 years experience with It and will alway choose you first if I need something safe and stored.
BENJAMIN H | Overall ExperienceWe picked up a small trailer in WV a day after a snowstorm. After traveling down to our destination in FL, we were charged $15 because the exterior was dirty. Not the interior, the exterior!! Traveling in winter weather was bad enough but to be charged more because of road dirt was ridiculous. Certainly soured our experience and most likely won’t use U-haul again.

STEVEN Sthey charged me twice for the rental. There was nobody there when I dropped it off. They place I p icked it up at gave me no additional instructions on what to do when I dropped it off. So when I did drop it off I made sure to make movement in front of the cameras so that they knew that I dropped it off. Never received phone call or anything.

James HAlex, and whatever her pronoun is, the customer service is bad. She constantly curse and is very upset about her coworker that messed up I suppose. When I deliver the equipment she already accused me of two days late. I just got the trailer 5 hours ago and im returning it. I have to wait 1 hour just for her to figure out, and told me she cannot provide a receipt. Eventually she gave the receipt but i was not able to cook dinner for my wife for work because i have to deal with this stuff that is not my fault!
FREDDY GUnfortunately we are going through two cyclones that have destroyed our homes, and there are people like the assistant manager at this location who took advantage of our situation. A very hard pill to swallow! When we rented this pick up truck, the attentive young man who attended us told us that there were Not going to charge us extra for gasoline due to the shortage. Our surprise when we returned the pickup truck was that, the assistant manager said that she could not remove the additional charge for not having returned with the amount of gas that was rented, despite the fact that she was present when the young man told us that they were not going to do it earlier. After an argument she charged us half of the fee, it’s not the money it’s the fact of having a little to no compassion for the people that are going through very difficult times. We will never rent anything from U-Haul again because of the bad heart and attitude of that lady full of braids on the top of her head.
KATHY RThe truck has a door issue and a tire issue. Due to the circumstances we were facing with the recent Hurricanes, the manager allowed me to take the truck and offered a nice discount when I returned it. It meet its purpose and they came through with compensation. Highly recommend this location for all your moving and storage needs!!

Just when I lost all patience…Cherokee and the crew at U-Haul Moving & Storage of New Port Richey(5631 US Hwy 19)came thru like champs! Great staff here! Hurricane Helene knocked out power to this location but, they did not slow down a bit. I fully recommend anyone needing U-haul services to come to this location. Thanks again Cherokee!

I called Uhaul to see if they had a storage unit available, and was happy to know they did. With their help, they suggested I call a moving company to help me, and Jeremy was the person who helped me, thank God ! I am so lucky he sprang into action, because since breaking my toes, I can't put any weight on my foot, and he came to my emotional rescue yesterday. 🙂 I am so grateful he was available and willing to help me too. ❤️ I would like to meet him in person and thank him for doing my job for me.

Also, I pre-paid for a lock and there was no record of it so I had to pull my receipt. Apparently there is a separate system for on-line orders. Why make it difficult for the employee? She was confused, I was confused, the computer system caused confusion. As previously stated, employee was great with a positive attitude. Couldn't ask for a better person to help me at the desk. She did the best she could with what she had. Please improve your computer system.

Deyven S | Online Move InEverything was great at the New Port Richey facility. The issue I had was picking up the truck at the St Cloud location. The place was closed but it said it was open until 12 pm. The person and the wife were extremely rude, the keys were not ready,. I had to wait 30 minutes or more for them. After he had them ready he placed them in the box and left never hold us it was ready, so we were just standing there alone not knowing where to get the key.

Also the light was out for over a month. On my move out date I asked for someone to fix it because I couldn't see while taking my stuff out and the lady told me to that i could crop open the side door because they didn't have anyone to fix it. Witch led me to I used my phone light to move my stuff out because the side door open did nothing for lighting up my unit. Not to mention all the spiders and moths in my unit witch I could of easily got bit by something not being able to see good what I was putting my hands on. So I would never recommend anyone to keep their stuff at this place. Nice staff but not sanitary!

If I have a unit there, I should be granted access at any time and not be charged. That's why I left after a year of renting.

Got an email stating that they/you were raising the rates on the unit because they/you hold high standards and in order to continue those standards they/you had to charge more. If I could go back I wouldn’t think you needed half the charge to upkeep the facility from what I saw and take this as a marketing skeem/scam. Highly disappointed with the facility and would rate this facility average or below.
