I made a reservation online and didn't know that there was an option for a one way rental. When i got to the pick up location the representative told me that he would change the status to a one way. At the drop off I was told that i had to return the truck back to the pick up location. I spent about 30 mins on the phone w the manager of the pick up location to straighten out the mix up. I was quoted 3 different totals. This experience was not pleasant and I am still waiting for one of the charges to be reversed because the manager had to charge me twice to correct the reps mistake.JEANNETTE P.

This uhaul experience was less than optimal. Speaking of the pick up time. I booked my rental for 10am. They called to inform me the truck was delayed and not expected until 11am. When I arrived the truck still hasn't arrived until about 11:40 or so. I understand that it was not uhaul's fault. The previous client was late.BRAUNSY B.

This was a good easy going experience thanks to the service provided by the Manager, Stanely Harper. He was professional, informative, and helpful. Even hours after we had left I had a questions about my second driver and was able to get Stanely on the phone right away and got my answer. Additionally, we like the location. There is plenty of room at that local and we were able to leave our car there and pick it up later when we returned the truck. The truck was very clean. Everyone at that location was friendly and helpful. I was grateful for all their help as we had to move on a day it was pouring out. Thank you.cesar B.
1) Have vehicle at requested location. Do not have customer drive an hour to get vehicle 2) when the pick up location states that it is open at 7 am. please do not have doors locked till 7:30 am so the staff may sleep. 3) I had ordered moving blanks (2 Dozen) when I made my reservation. I was told that they were not available after I questioned about them and I had to purchase 4. I would have been screwed even more If I did not question. 4) Please have the vehicle ready for the customer. I had to walk to the far end of the lot to get vehicle. Instead of sleeping don't you think they could perhaps work . Bring vehicle closer to office and clean out the saltines in the cab. I had to wait for them to find the keys. Overall a terrible experience. I should of done my research and went with another company.Antonino T.

The website says there is night time drop off hours which is completely incorrect. Sounds like uhaul doesn't care what they tell there customers. I would certainly not recommend U-Haul for anyone. I left all my furniture and personal belongings on their storage. There was a flood in my unit. U-haul did not report what was the damage and put me in contact with another company, west rep. West rep informed that no damages was caused to my unit. When I opened my storage there were a lot of items missing (bed, table, bag, boxes), and west rep did not helped me at all. U-haul was always saying that did not have any responsibility. I wonder who I hired. Now I had to buy a new bed and furniture, and my clothes are all ruined. DO NOT RECOMMEND.marcelo p. | Overall Experience
Some type of ramp or raised platform to get heavy items into and out of building. Was trying to get electric wheel hare from unit into van. there was no way to do that other than just lifting it by hand. A ramp, portable or permanent or a loading dock or hi-lo would have been helpfulLINDA T.

Not the location but i would not recommend anyone to uhaul . I went there because Home depot wasn't available. I rented the van for for 24 hrs with a fixed price i was hugely overcharged. I pray for me not to have any emergency that could push me to rent from this company again in my life. A friend warned me but i was like...THOMAS K.
I had reserved an appliance dolly, 2x furniture dolly, and furniture pads; however, when I arrived at the location they could only provide the appliance dolly and 1x furniture dolly. What is the point of the reservation if these may be handed out to walk-in customers who arrived first? The lack of a 2nd furniture dolly is particular added stress to my move and I would've made alternative arrangements to secure a 2nd furniture dolly had I known; however, on the day I just had to make due. Overall a positive experience but I find the lack of preparation / reservation very unprofessional.Brian R.

My unit was impacted by the water main break at this location and I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED since being notified of this. No one at the location (Newark Orange Street) answers the phone, the insurance company has not contacted me regarding a new unit and the damage assessment, and corporate doesn’t employ enough people to answer the phone in a timely manner - Call me ASAP (651) 260-3970. Having my belongs destroyed is stressful enough as it is but the atrocious customer service has made this experience much worse. Stay away from U-Haul.Paige R. | First Impressions

I was forced to stay in a hotel an extra night because I couldn't return a truck after hours; better training at this location is needed. I was from out of state seeking a rental. When I called the location, the recording said all locations opened at 7AM. I was there at 7AM and the place was closed until 9AM. There was no information provided about the location hours changing due to COVID-19 on the recording. When trying to return my rental at about 7:15PM, I was told by the phone representative that I had to wait until the following day because there was nowhere to return it after 7pm. The original representative did not say that this location was closed after hours. After a back and forth with a new phone representative about what my contract said, I found myself not only stuck with a truck but now frantically searching for a hotel. I just want to be told all the information about rentals and any changes that may affect my contract so I can be on my way.Tyrone C.
15' truck wasn't available despite multiple calls to confirm that it would be. We got a 10' truck instead that had dirt in the back (and we had to clean ourselves). Because we got a smaller truck now we have to make a second trip back to get the remainder of our belongings. I'm very disappointed in Uhaul and I don't think I'll use it again anytime soon.Kshay K.
