Dear Sir, I have used U-Haul over the years several times and have been happy with the service. However, this time I was not. I rented a van on 9/15/2021 at the Norman OK location. The fuel indicator on the contract was F (full). I had the van for under 2 hours and most of this time was spent loading and unloading the contents. I drove 10 miles. I filled it up without paying much attention since the contract said I was to return the van with a full tank of gas. When I looked at the gas station receipt it indicated I had put 3.4 gallons of gas in the vehicle. Clearly the van was not given to me with a full tank of gas. When I returned the van, I explained the situation and asked for a partial refund for the gas I placed in the vehicle since I was misled when I was told the tank was full. After talking to 2 representatives at that location, I was informed they could not credit me for the gas purchase. I asked what the miles per gallon were on the van and they said they did not know. The items I transported in the van were several wheelchairs, walkers, and a lift for handicapped people, given to a charitable organization after my fathers death. While I understand you may have some policy that your employees were following, this was clearly a case where I should be compensated for part of the gas I placed into the van since it is clear the van's tank was not full when I picked it up even though the gas gauge showed full and under no reasonable circumstances could I use 3.4 gallons driving 10 miles and most of that with nothing in the van.ROSS H.

We thought we had paid for the uhaul truck but somehow it didn't happen. So uhaul sent us a bill after we thought we had paid for the truck. Plus they nickel and dimed us to death on the gas. When you are moving on a budget you choose uhaul. Otherwise you send movers to do the job for you. Next time I will send movers. At least they get the money straight..Suzanne C.

The worst customer service ever! UHaul putting the burden on customers to do their employees job is ridiculous and I'll never rent from U-Haul again! It's not the customers responsibility to check-out and check-in the rental vehicle. Additionally, when asking for a printed copy of the receipt, that was unheard of and you'd thought I'd asked for the van to be given to me. Worst experience ever! Will NEVER be back. I would like to applaud Carli Harper's professionalism. She was very helpful and went above and beyond to help me return my truck. Upon trying to pick up my rental truck, I was unable to use the upp or the actual website to retrieve my truck. I was on hold for 1.5 hours and eventually had to leave the location without a truck. I returned the next day and went inside to check in, Carli made the dreaded process quick and seamless. Upon trying to return my truck through the app and through the website, I was unable to use the recommended ways to return the truck. Despite following all instructions, making sure location services were on etc. It was extremely frustrating after wasting so much time and $ waiting to pick up and return my rental. The process was not seamless and extremely stressful when you should of been able to pick up your rental and you have places to me. I will not ever rent from Uhaul again but I would like to write a review on how helpful Carli was.CARLIE K.

Treat the customer better! Worst UHaul experience ever!! Truck was in poor condition and agent at return location in Anaheim CA was the worst! Totally unprofessional and charged me double on my rental (+$1300} on my move due to returning at the â€œwrong locationâ€. Even when I showed him my receipt indicating his location, he still charged me!! Awful!! Had to contact customer service to report it and get refund. Still they did nothing for a bad truck! It had 108000 miles on it and was so noisy you couldn't even hear the radio, much less talk to each other! 3 days of hell coming from Norman Oklahoma! The facility was filthy. There is trash and discarded parts all over the outside and inside of property. I'm sure it has been busy with the influx of students coming to this location however there seemed to be plenty of staff hanging out doing nothing. When I arrived I waited inside with another customer while two people talked loudly and laughed just outside the door. I finally went to the noise and found two u-haul employs. Pros: The customer service was nice and quick and the process was easy and simple. There was only one person on duty at 5, which seems like a busy time to me (after work). It took forever to get helped and hooked up. There was a line of people and there should have been at least 2 people working. I rented one on a Saturday and there was employees everywhere and very easy to do everything. I mean the line was still cumbersome, but your system and people are always slow... so that's a given.Paul S.

The facility was fine, my beef is with the pricing. The facility would not prorate our month. Our month started on the 14th, and we moved out that day, and they would not prorate or refund from Aug 14-Sept 14. This is unfair to customers, I don't care what the contract says, it's a terrible business practice. This survey says move out date was the 16th, it was NOT, it was on the 14th, the day my son moved into his apartment. Someone is playing funny business with the move out date. Other storage companies will prorate and since we have a choice, I will choose differently next time. No need to charge customer (a college student) for 29 days he didn't need. During the college move in season, have personnel allow for more room. I was not involved in the college move in but certainly chose the wrong lot to return a truck to! there was not any room at all to park trucks. No, fault of the location, but I could not get the app or phone to return the truck to work. The total experience with the storage situation was an absolute joke, they want me to store a 30k boat between a gutted pickup truck, and a van that I'm pretty sure someone was living in it... with no gate on the entrance, or cameras facing that part of the storage facility.... with the 26ft truck rental I was told I would receive a 10x20 indoor storage area..... surprisingly they only had a 10x10 area... so needless to say, I forked out another 250$ for a storage unit at another place... on a high note, the truck drove great, and the guy behind the counter was awesome... just a bad area and misleading informationJacinda N. | Overall Experience

This has been the most horrific experience. We rented a storage space (which has always remained empty) as a place where our daughter who attends OU could use if she needed to leave school quickly due to COVID. Our bills were paid on auto-pay. In late January, we decided she was staying at school and that we could cancel the account. Since our name is on the account, we had to complete a document and send to the manager giving authorization to close the account and cut the lock. We live in Michigan. After that time, we were billed for another monthly fee. We contacted the store and sent a second copy of the cancellation form. I have since sent them to your store manager as a reference point. The charge we received was credited. We have then been charged again, received a lien notice, another charge and a final notice. I have send several emails to Brett the store manager to work this though as well as worked with Lisa from your customer service department. Brett will not return calls nor emails. As of right now, we have lien notice against us (without merit) as well as charges on our American Express card for monthly billing when we clearly returned the unit prior (documented). I am disappointed at this service and the lack of care and concern from your store manager Brett. I have copies of all emails sent to Brett for reference. As of this moment, we still are not clear on next steps. We need some clarity and closure here. Way way waaaaay to over priced. I went from paying $137 to now $54 a month by switching. I rented a 10' truck on 10/22/2020 'In town price' They lied and said I drove 50 miles when I did not. I went 24 miles. 11 miles there and 11 miles back, plus stopped for gas. 700 E Lindsey to 905 SE 19th st moore, ok. That is 12 miles there and 12 miles back!!!!!! One way trip!!!!! I went from paying $34.00 to $78.00 to $128.00 for 'In Town' services that advertised $19.99. Their response to me was 'Did you take a picture.' Well of course not, because I didnt think i was going to get screwed over plus it isn't my job to make sure someone can read numbers right. They made my account overdraft. So overall $128.00 charged for going 24 miles. Very dishonest and shady people. I work hard for my money and They stole from me and was not truthful about the numbers. I spoke to the manager and they did not help me at all. They said the numbers added up....yeah, lies. I spoke to customer service and they said I can file a complaint but the manager from a local store would contact me...what good would that do? I already spoke to them! I wanted corporates number. I asked the ladies 'Who read the numbers on the truck' and they did not even respond back. They were trying to save their jobs.
