This place seems to be inadequately staffed for the volume of traffic there. I always have to wait-15-45 minutes when I have an appointed time to arrive. Today I picked up a pickup, to move some retired landscape timbers to the dump. The truck smelled like gym socks despite having less than 2000 miles on it. The dash was filthy-but-it ran great and I was going to the city dump. When I returned it, with dirt in the bed I was told it will have to be cleaned or I will pay $25 for a cleaning fee. I spend $50 to use a truck for less than two hours and drive 27 mikes total and you can't afford to have someone blow out the bed? When I get it and it's dirty to start with? The blond lady who works there seems to hustle but everyone else seems to have a "I'll get to you when it's convient" and no one seems to worry about customer satisfaction. Don't worry I won't be back. At least not to that location. I have had great luck using uhaul but this location isn't up to the usual standards.

I rented a 5x8 trailer and an appliance dolly. Well after picking up the trailer and getting to my storage unit at 1:40 I realized that I had not received the appliance dolly as requested and paid for. I immediately called the store at 2:04 p.m. and asked for the associate that helped me Colin and he was not available. The guy on the phone said that he would not the problem on the account so that the drop off location would be aware and refund me for the amount of the dolly. Well that did not happen and when i went to drop off the equipment there were no notes and it became a big hassle in which I had to call back down to the store in Norman and go through the process of explaining myself again.

I'm upset with the mileage allotment they gave me to get from Norman to Tulsa. They originally wanted to only give me 110 miles to make the trip which I told them wasn't even remotely doable because the trip alone without stops to my house or a gas station was 144 miles. After I convinced them to at least cover the distance of the trip, they only gave me an additional 16 miles when the previous customer before me got 30 miles. Wasn't very consistent service in my opinion.

Did not seem to have enough staff. The Mobile app is not very helpful. The van had a bunch of bird poop on it, had not been cleaned and the cab smelled like a dog or cat had been in there. But it worked and did the job and the location is convenient so I will rent there again, but the service did not stand out.

WOW.....UHaul....I cant believe how much better your organization is than it use to be. great check in and check out process. friendly staff. easy to understand instructions and where to go on the other end (destination point) I had a huge argument with a representative several years back when we used your company b/c the truck was not well maintained and you couldn't tell how much fuel was left in the truck as the needle fluctuated by a half of tank. I swore never ever would I use UHaul again. but you made me a believer. I would recommend you to anyone and everyone!

I have used this location often for moving supplies and truck rentals. The people are always pleasant, helpful, and informative. Like all companies lately I think they are understaffed for the amount of work as well as the multiple areas they are having to service; gas, garage, truck return and pick up; indoor sales and rentals. I never have had poor service but have had to wait. I don't hold this staff responsible for that, a person can only do and be in one place at a time. I will always use this location for my moving and storage needs!!

The computer system seemed to be confusing. We were renting a truck in Lawton, OK to move my daughter's stuff to college in Norman, OK, about 75 miles away. I wanted to do what was least expensive, either drive it back to Lawton, or turn it in in Norman. Your system said the best deal was for me to unload her in Norman, and then drive another 20 miles to Oklahoma City to turn it in?? Your staff didn't understand how/why that could be. Not a big deal, but thought I should mention it.

They never have enough help at this store and you have to wait way too long for someone to help you. The employee who did finally help me then complained about being the only competent employee at that store. Very unprofessional. I highly recommend going to a uhaul affiliate. I've gotten much better service every time I've used one of those than I ever have at this place. The truck was clean on the inside and working fine but was completely beat up all over the outside which made me worry that they would blame some of it on me so I took a lot of pictures. I couldn't even see one side of the truck because it was parked so close to the next and the employee expected me to back it out! I laughed and told him there was no way I was touching it until it was backed out. I will try to reserve well in advance next time so that the truck I need will be available at an affiliate. Lastly, I've gotten 10 of the exact same emails so far with my receipt. Might not have anything to do with this store itself but it still reflects poorly on them.

I would recommend but with caution to watch for days added to expense. There were computer issues. The process was slow and I had to register a complaint to have a late fee and extra day removed from my charges. I think the charge was excessive considering I only had the truck for a few hours.

Crystal, the manager, was very helpful. She was very pleasant when we picked up the vehicle. When we returned the vehicle, she was working with a customer who was being quite rude. She maintained her professionalism and worked with him until the issue was resolved. Her customer service is fantastic. I would gladly use this location in the future or recommend it to friends.

I had to return the van after hours. But when I completed my return using the Uhaul app, I fond that the Key DropBox was broken. I talked to the customer service but they couldn't provide me any immediate support. So, I had to go back again next day early morning to return the key. I think I should get some discounts on my bill!

I paid to have a worker help hook the trailer up correctly, only to be on the road and have someone come over and tell me the tongue was riding too low and that I shouldn't use the drop hitch. The trailer towed horribly that first day. I bought a straight hitch and installed, which leveled the trailer and it pulled so much better. $20 cash wasted in Norman, OK.

I rented a box truck for my company going from Norman OK to Grand Rapids MI. Within an hours time of getting the truck it breaks down on a turnpike. I call roadside assistance, hours later in 98 deg heat AAA shows up and says they sent for a tow truck and they leave, hours after that the tow truck finally shows up...this is 5- 1/2 hours later! Then they proceed to take me to a motel that someone reserved that is in a bad neighborhood and the driver of the tow truck tells me not to go outside of the hotel because it is a bad neighborhood. This was the worst experience ever!

Don't waste time asking all the same questions that are already asked/answered when making the online reservation. I don't need to be told again how much I'm liable for if something happens when I decline the insurance. If I've already made that decision to assume that responsibility, and you have my signed acknowledgement, don't bring it up again.

Was asked if we wanted a short time storage when we picked up the trailer - was also asked when we were called to confirm when we were bringing the trailer back / there we reserved a 10x10 outside unit at the Lindsey & classen location - even giving them my credit card # - when we brought the trailer back we were told that they would not honor the reservation because it was not a one way rental - wish your sales reps could get their act straight

When dropping off equipment, you might put a bell or camera pointing at the drop off location, so customers are not excessively waiting and have to go inside to start the check in process and have someone come out to assist.

This was not a FLAT rate of 39.99. Turned out to be 96.00. The whole trailer and cab smelled like cigarettes and a gross mildew smell. I should have just used a flat bed trailer. Won't be using uhaul again.

My only suggestion would be to distance myself from movinghelp.com. In Norman they were awful causing 1000.00 damage, in Dallas they were excellent and undid what Norman packed, in Pensacola they were no call, no shows. I went through Budget service to get good help quickly.

My son reserved a 15' truck, the store released that truck to someone else. So we were out a truck!!! We had to rent a 26', because that was the only size available. Which of course cost us a lot more money, I feel this was done on purpose but we had no choice but to do it. They had to move out that day, I feel we should have received a discount to the 15' price since they gave our "RESERVED" truck away. U-Haul should reimburse me the difference ASAP

I understand it was a busy day but they had uhaul backed all the way up into the entrance so I couldn't get around for parking. The employees were standing outside and never attempted to point us in the right direction of the front door and parking around all the uhauls. When they came in, the computers were slow and after asking me three times if I still wanted the furniture pads I ordered two weeks ago, they forgot to give me the furniture pads. I realized when I got home to load the uhaul and called. Someone gave me the run around for a while and asked for my name without ever telling me the employee I had worked with at pick up would have to call me back. Eventually she did and got the pads taken off my bill, but they were not super pleasant up until the point they realized they'd screwed up.

Hire new staff. It was chaos as 3 of 4 employees were busy acting like the 3 stooges, too lazy to follow through on any directions on returning equipment after hours, or otherwise. I would like to say it was just funny horseplay, but I am pretty sure they all function like this permanently. Truck was good, although gas level was off from what they said, and clean...storage nice and clean...it's strictly the employees that make it difficult (45 mins-1 hour) to pick up reserved truck and get storage key and that make you never want to have any contact with them again. Others that day were as irritated and annoyed as I was as well...but everyone powered through so we could get in and get out. I just wonder...and worry...about which one was the manager as none seemed to have an authority over another.

From the moment I arrived the guy there seemed to be having a bad day and decided to take it out on me. He wasn't that helpful and when we had to make some adjustments he was sure to push all the blame to me even though he saw it and could have easily helped out. Then they said the gas tank was full and to return it full, so when I got it it was about an 1/8th empty, so I had him come look to change it and he said "ok I will note it is 1 gallon short". I drove down the street just to top it off and check, I was right, 5.6 gallons later we were now full. Then I returned the rental van after using it for only 22 miles, and I got billed for 54 miles... so it was a really crappy experience and I would probably use a different company next time if there is the option. I tried to complain and call the main representative and have them adjust the overcharged price, they said someone would call me to verify but I have yet to receive that phone call. Probably never will.

Incredibly rude service. I reserved a furniture dolly and they didn't have one available. They found an appliance dolly and said they would let me use that one instead. Then they never loaded it, so I had to drive all the way back to get it. They gave me attitude when I explained that it wasn't in the truck. The person who made my reservation grossly overcharged me and tricked me into making a more expensive rental agreement. The person I checked out with didn't bring this up or inform me that there were cheaper options. I will probably never use UHaul again and I would highly recommend my friends to do the same.

I returned my trailer 16 minutes late and was charged another days rent. When asked about the extra charge the attendant just said it was an estimate and was unwilling to communicate with me about the extra days charge. That is ridiculous customer service and I will look elsewhere for my next move. I travel all over the country for work and will try to use another service from now on.

The original pick up was a place in Noble, OK. I didn't receive the email that you had changed my location so I went to the Noble area and no one was there, the phone number on the door just rings and rings and then eventually hangs up on you. The only way I knew where my rental was is that I called UHaul customer service. Very frustrating. The Lindsey location is what my ratings are based on. Have to wait too long to check out at the pickup location. Not enough people working or the workers are too slow behind the counter.

The only reason I didn't give five stars is that when I've ordered additional items at the time I reserve the truck -e.g., boxes, mattress covers,etc. - they weren't gathered and in the truck, which means they have to look at the list and pull the things together, which means more time to fulfill my order, which means that those who are waiting have to wait more. When there's a rush of customers, the process seems so labored. However, I do commend Crystal especially because she manages that chaotic time very well!

Right now I am sitting in front of the restaurant where we stopped for A quick lunch. Sitting here by myself in the truck we rented that will not start, everyone else went on to unload a couple of the cars Already have been here over 30 minutes and was told by road assistance it could be another hour and a half before we get help. This is not good why would a truck that has a bad battery or what ever be rented back out. It should have been gone over and checked out this is so inconvenient. We will be unloading in the dark and the cold. Not a happy customer.

Within the first two miles the trailer disconnected from my vehicle. Fortunately the chains kept the trailer connected. I got the trailer reconnected with some help and returned to the dealer. They couldn't understand what happened but made sure the connection was okay. Made it to my destination without any other problem.

I drove the van 13.6 miles but filled it up 4.88 gallons of gas at the station across the street. I was given a van that did not have a full gas tank like it was told it was. I think you owe me $10 for gas.

The movers who were driving my reserved moving truck ended up starting late and arriving late. Part of the contract I had with them was that they would drop off the truck but the business would be closed when they needed to drop it off. I called the store and asked if they could drop it off after hours and they said no problem. Just drop the key in the lock box after. Thank you U-Haul.

Worst experience ever. I reserved everything the day before so it would go quicker. We spent over an hour there to get the trailer and aquire the unit number. The first unit was the wrong type of unit. They assigned another and we left to get the stuff. Came back and revised this, too was on the wrong level, then got another, it was the wrong size and finally received the correct level but one size too big. I settled only because this was already the 4th unit and we'd already been there again well over an hour!!!! They charged the wrong cards.... the wrong amount and repeatedly charged my card for incorrect about to try and "equal" the size and location difference of the unit... now I have over $160 in charges for my storage unit which is 160 above what it's supposed to be. I need a refund and expect something for all the hours as we waited and the inconvenience.

The service person that helped my daughter and son in law went above and beyond expectation. There was an issue with the hook up on the towing truck for the lights , they were not working properly, the service person took the to find the problem which was a fuse and replaced it with no extra charge for the time or parts. Truck was low on oil. Light came on in the dash shortly after i left the pick up location. Makes me question how well they inspect if they don't even check the dipstick. Also only half a tank of gas. Seems like they do this to trick you into bringing it back with more than was in gave you since you don't want to get hit with the ridiculously high refueling fees.

The countertop computer was slow and after several minutes of endless cycling froze completely. It posted a different person on the signature pad than me. Then froze again. Had to change consoles and repeat input of my car and license. The staff did the best the could but either the hardware or software needs upgrading. I have been a customer of this store for at least 2 decades. The slow software has been in similar condition on my visits for at least six years. Please invest and help your bottom line.

Rented a cargo van to begin the arduous task of clearing out the house of an elderly parent. Visually the van appeared clean, though one interior light was dangling from the ceiling and the cover to that light was missing. Got the van home and decided to sweep out the back because there was debris in it, bits of straw/hay, dust etc. Discovered animal feces embedded in the matrix of the mat, so had to remove it and spray/wash it down pretty well; the smell of animal feces was very strong Reported this to the Norman office before heading out on moving trip, but no apology or offer to replace the van was made. Following a 5.5-hr drive to Lawrence, KS, my wife and I noticed a few "bug bites" on arms and back of neck. Thought it strange, but didn't think much more about it. After the second day of hauling household items, the number of bites intensified – it turns out that the van was infested with chiggers! My wife made numerous phone calls to U-Haul (Norman) that went unanswered, but bounced to a central U-Haul office. After countless transfers and run around, U-Haul refused to let us swap out the van in Lawrence -- stating that could only be done in Norman. They've got "pass-the-buck" down to a science! Bottom line, we had to fumigate the van. We then lined the seats with plastic trash bags and towels, spraying them entirely with OFF (comfy for a long drive!) and after four days, returned the van to Norman U-Haul. During all of the phone calls, we were told to complete a customer action file once we arrived in Norman. We asked for one, but the clerk on duty discouraged us from doing so, stating that nothing would come from it. We asked for a full refund and standard cleaning fee they should have charged the previous renters. The clerk offered a 50% discount, described as the best U-Haul could do. For a national corporation, it is highly doubtful that that is the best they can do. Think twice before using U-Haul and then choose a more professional company for your next rental needs.

When I picked up the truck the fuel gauge read full. I drove a total of 13 miles. When I returned it I fueled it up and it held 7 gallons. I advised the clerk of my concerns and they basically blew my off. I won't be using haul again. I feel ripped off and no one seemed to concerned.

Excellent experience. The only comment I would make is that the signs at the dropoff location state to stay with equipment until a representative comes out. However, after waiting a few minutes with no one coming out, I went inside and was taken care of.

Dropped off overnight. Location was nice sized, had plenty of signage to tell us where to leave the truck. Only 'issue' I had was being called asking for us to come remove the lock on the truck. We put the lock on the truck per paperworks instructions since we had equipment. Keys were attached to the truck key. They handled the misunderstanding very professionally and called me back to confirm things were good to go. I look forward to dealing with this location in the future when I move from current location

When I was in business 12 yrs ago I rented often from this Store. The people there are still competent, conscientious and pleasant folks to work with. Your telephone contact set-up needs help. To extend my rental for two more days took 4 phone calls because I kept being "cut-off". May have been a technical "glitch" at the time, but the folks there were always helpful & worked with me.
