No improvement needed! The gentleman who helped me to rent the truck was courteous, knowledgeable, and the process was very quick. The truck ran like a dream and held the exact amount we needed. When I turned it in, the young lady was also courteous and asked if I had any concerns about the truck and if it was what I needed. They were professional from start to finish! I waited 20 minutes for a representative to help me get the moving truck. She was very rude and kept making unappreciated comments. Then me and my child get in the truck that wasn't cleaned. It smelled strongly of marijuana (drugs). I was so short on time after waiting so long for assistance, that I couldn't complain. Then I found roaches crawling the back of the truck. I returned the truck right around the time they were closing and the return truck drive was full. So I asked one of the men cleaning the truck where I should park, he very rudely screamed at me that I should use the back entrance. This was all around a horrible experience.Brittany R.

I asked if they could make sure that I was not charged for the dolly since it was not provided at the previous location because it was self service/pick-up and I was told by management to call customer service. Why, when it would take a few extra minutes out of her time and day to help a paid in full customer. If I ever need a U-Haul or a friend does we will not be using this location. But on the brighter side the gentleman that helped me before asking his manager for assistance to further help me with my concerns, was very kind and eager to help and learn something new on the job. Service was great when I finally got it, I had waited in the lobby for a really long time by myself, there was absolutely no one in the building. I finally had to go looking for someone to help me. I normally rent equipment from this location. I never have a problem and always receive great customer service. However, this time was different. When I was picking up the trailer, the employee asked me to turn on my running lights. I said, â€œWhich ones are the running lights?â€ He responded, â€œI wouldn't expect you to know. You're a woman.â€ He wasn't even joking, which still would have been incredibly inappropriate as a joke. He repeated this sentiment again during this interaction. There are female employees at this location, so I was surprised that an employee with this type of attitude is working there and felt free to share his mysogonistic feelings. Nothing to be done at this point, but I certainly hope Uhaul does not share this attitude. I am a single woman who is very capable of handling my affairs without the assistance of a man. I use Uhaul exclusively for all of my equipment rental. I have always felt comfortable and confident with the company. I don't think I will use this location for rentals/supplies again because of this employee. While it is an inconvenience finding another supplier, I cannot in good conscience continue to give my business to a company who employees workers with such offensive views. Again, I appreciate there are female employees. Hopefully the attitude of the male employees will become more progressive as well.GINA V.

Customer service was lackluster. No one smiled or seemed genuinely happy. I just dropped over $600 to rent a truck and don't remember receiving a thank you. Also was told the truck I rented had half a tank of gas. The truck I was in had a little over 1/4 th of a tank. I stopped before dropping it off and added $20 so I'd leave it with the same amount as when I picked it up. We switched up trucks in the middle of pick up and I think there was an error and the drop off location might have thought it had half a tank when I dropped it off. I don't know.Amy R.

I had some bad experience and some good. I didn’t like the fact thar 9 times out of 10 I had to abs that one of the broken down trucks be moved so that I could access my storage and the price is outrageous!! The staff at the uhaul on 6th is absolutely amazing!!! They had to put up with me and I am a handful to say the least. Every time I entered the building I could see the expression of oh my what does she want today, but the tone of their voice and the attitude was completely the opposite. They went above and beyond to satisfy my demands. They all deserve a reward for all I put them through. To the Uhaul Crew on 6th in Amarillo, Thank You All for putting up with me. I reserved a TRUCK two weeks in advance! The day I went to pick it up they said I had to take a cargo van! They didn't honor the 50 GUARANTEED reservation! The girl that checked me in did not know what she was doing. It took over an hour for her to get me my storage unit. she kept pushing me off, to go to where i had to return my uhaul truck in canyon she wanted to cancel my reservation so i could go there. Someone else has to help her so i could get going. A few weeks later i went in to rent a truck so i could move my things and she was there again and stated that they were sold out of trucks meanwhile there was about 5-6 trucks there. I went online to try and see who else had a uhaul available, THE SAME location had multiple trucks available. I felt lied to and went to home depot and rented a truck. The truck I drove was louder than anything I've ever driven. When I returned it, they simply stated oh sorry. We shouldn't have rented this to you, the catalytic converter was missing. And went on about their day. The headlights on that truck were also ridiculous. I couldn't see anything with those. There's not way that truck was street legal. And even if it is there's no way it's safe for people to be operating. Y'all are putting peoples life at risk.Kyle L.

Be sure to double check the rates. We got a quote a week or so before renting the truck, and it ended up being 200$ total more than what we found. Take screenshots of the quote as well, that way you can possibly barter to keep the price at that level and nothing more. Otherwise, no issuesTODD B.

I had some things that went wrong from the start and just stayed bad. promised and reserved one thing got something different and them emptied one unit and was to be charged less for the one unit because of their mess up but still got charged full price was to get a credit and have not seen that back yet. Then the unit I still had was to be one price and again they where going to charge me full price for that unit so I just moved it all out, They did not stand on their word. I rented the truck and the lights did not work so I lost a valuable day that I was not able to travel . The next day they fixed it and more drama happened . The staff members that I saw consistently were very friendly and helpful, although there did seem to be a lot of turnover and new hires being trained often. The price of my storage unit seemed to be increasing incrementally, culminating in a $15 late fee for my unit in the last month (despite my account being set up with auto-pay and never having that problem previously). The unit itself was not entirely secure. There was a 6-8 inch gap between the wall of my unit and the one next to it, such that my neighboring unit’s owner could reach an arm in take my items if I hadn’t accounted for that.
