When a customer uses the van share app and picks up outside the store hours please make sure the requested equipment is on the truck. I had requested an appliance mover, and moving blankets. None were in the truck and looking at the bill today I was charged for them. Also teach customer service phone skills to your desk personnel so that when you do call the store it doesn't make it feel like it's a burden for that person to make a call to the store.

Couple of notes: 1. there was moisture in the storage area and cardboard boxes didn't hold up very well. Also - some fabric had mold due to the moisture and some furniture had a musty smell. 2. There was no lights inside the storage unit, so could only visit it during daylight hours. 3. Most of the staff were nice and helpful, however, were not well versed on UHaul's on-line systems. It took me a few months to figure out how to pay the rent on-line as the staff couldn't help me and I had to figure it out myself. 4. The gate to access the storage units was kept open during the day most of the times I visited in the summer. There was staff on hand, but no-one stopped to ask us for ID, etc. I understood that the unit was not climate controlled when I rented it, but did not know that dampness would be an issue and for that I would be reluctant to recommend to others.
You new Manager in Hanover did an OUTSTANDING job explaining your procedures, but also made the three month experience extremely easy and convenient to have. I would not only recommend your Hanover Manager as a best in Class, but she shows what true customer service is all about. I am sorry I did NOT get her name, but she was working yesterday, 9/13/20 at your Franks Lane location
Our reserved unit was given away and we didn't find out until our shipping container arrived and we were without a unit. The elevator was broken, our key card didn't work, and there is no ramp to easily access the elevator using the carts which made moving heavy objects very difficult.
The elevator was almost alway broken. When you go to the office and inquire about when it would be fixed. Attitude is all you ever got. Not friendly ever. Front gate broken half the time. When checking out, And cleaning out my unit I swept up a lot of mice poop. Hope nothing is damaged. I asked about a partial refund since we paid for t full month on the ninth and checked out on the 18th. The lady said “ well you have to contact corporate I think they may prorate”. I have had this unit for almost 10 years never missed a payment never later on a payment, dealt with broken elevators and uncaring staff and I have to contact corporate for partial refund for the part of the month I didn’t use?? Unbelievable

The staff at this Uhaul corrected almost all the mistakes made from the Uhaul staff member where I picked up the truck and auto transport. It was a harrowing 4 days.
Unit we rented was wet, floors, condensation dripping everywhere. Rented a 24' truck to move, hired people to move, received call the day before saying it would not be available where we rented it.

When I returned to access my unit with my belongings, the unit that I rented was locked. I could not access it and no one was available by phone or in person. Wasted my time.
A golf cart for the facility would make response times much faster. I had trouble accessing the unit and had to wait several minutes for someone to arrive to open the door to the interior.

Key card would not work to let me gain access to the building. I asked many times to have this fixed but no one could get it done so every time I went there someone would have to open the building.

I expected a refund The door was broken from the first day I rented the space and six weeks later it was still broken Corporate HQ ignored my complaints
The outside of units were clean, but all of my stuff was ruined from mice and the heat. There were mice droppings and mold all over my belongings The fans in the units were rarely on in the summer.

Helpful staff stayed late to unhitch my towed car. A young man helped me load heavy furniture onto the elevator and moving dollies. But, I paid for 24-hour access, magnetic stripe card didn’t work!
Ian is the only good staff member here. Other than that, the experience was terrible, it was costly, the other staff and manager were rude. This is NOT a good facility, I recommend going elsewhere.
