The truck had a ton of wet sand/ mud in the back. I didn’t see this until I got to my destination and had to buy extra cardboard to protect furniture I was putting in. When given the truck I was told It had a full tank of gas and to return it full. I ended up putting 9.4 gallons of gas in until the gas pump stopped after driving 59 miles. That would be 6.2 miles per gallon as opposed to the 12 it says on the website. When I got back in the truck the gas gauge needle went past the full mark where it was when I picked it up. If it’s known that the needle goes past full they should treat it as being at a specific spot, rather than just saying “full tank”. That way I wouldn’t have wasted money putting in double the amount of gas necessary. Would definitely not rent from this location again.

Gas gage did not work properly may have been frozen in place at 1/4 tank but right out of the paling lot dropped to below "E" I had to get off first exit on highway to fill the tank because I was concerned I had a gas guzzler and did not want to run out of gas on the highway on anywhere else along my trip. I am at least expecting a gas refund as my receipt will show that the tank was empty at the time of pick up.

I rented a 15 foot Uhaul. Truck was definetly an older one. It was clean and got the job done. there was a good deal of rattling from underneath the truck. The Gentlemen helping me was very good and met me outside when I was returning the truck. Only problem was with the gas. The new receipt tells you how many gallons you need to put back into the truck. I thought this is a great idea. I put 18.5 gallons into the tank because the receipt said I needed about 17.6 to get the gas back to 3/4 of a tank. The suggested number of gallons of gas needed ended up filling the tank. We dropped the uhaul and trailer off after our 3 days of traveling with no sleep (should have been 2), after our uhaul broke down in a bad area, after rude uhaul customer service representatives, and after uhaul's contracted towing company totalled my husbands only car (I could go on), and then they had the nerve to call us over a month later saying that we never dropped off the vehicle at the drop off location and owed them a large amount of money for late fees. Luckily, I took pictures and videos of us dropping the uhaul and trailor off on the day we got to our destination and did everything we were supposed to per the contract and the customer service reps we spoke to. Now they believe us. My review might have been better for the Hanover location had all of the other things not transpired. At this point, I generally have nothing good to say about Uhaul. Truthfully, the most that the Hanover location did/didn't do was actually check their own parking lot for the uhaul and trailor when they thought it was missing..it is a small lot and a 27ft uhaul plus trailor is pretty hard to miss..A lot of unnessisary added stress for us..

I requested a trailer but when I arrived I was informed that the previous person had not returned the trailer. The salesperson asked if I would like a smaller trailer for more days but since I only had 1 day to do the move I asked if a truck was available and was told it was and that the mileage and extra fee would be waved. Also the computer system was down that day. I returned the truck just like I should have. When my credit card statement came I was charged the additional fee. I disputed the charges but never heard from them. Good thing I moved away from the area and will not have to use them again.

People need to be accountable. At the beginning of a shift, all rental vehicles should be set up with corresponding tags. If I did not have a working knowledge of what I was renting I never could have hooked it up myself. And the extras I had tacked on were necessary but disheartening. On the other hand, drop off was very easy.
