When a customer uses the van share app and picks up outside the store hours please make sure the requested equipment is on the truck. I had requested an appliance mover, and moving blankets. None were in the truck and looking at the bill today I was charged for them. Also teach customer service phone skills to your desk personnel so that when you do call the store it doesn't make it feel like it's a burden for that person to make a call to the store.

U-Haul was unable to fulfill my reservation 3 times. When they were finally able to get me a truck that met my requirements I was unable to pick up the truck at the designated location because the lock wouldn't open. When I called I was transferred 4 times to end up back with the original person who answered my call. I then had to drive 15 miles out of my way to pick up a truck at the only place that was still open. The truck I rented the door didn't close right and the gap between the door and the cab I could stick my finger through. When I went to return the truck I waited in the drive up return area for ten minutes until I finally walked inside to see why no one had come out. The woman I met as I entered reeked of marijuana smoke claimed she didn't know I was there because she was working on the computer. She told me to leave the keys in the ignition. This will probably be the last time I ever use U-haul. This was a horrible experience.

There is no parking to leave a car while conducting the move - that would be handy.

I've always rented from one U- Haul, then dropped it off at another. I think I kind of got ripped off by not being able to not drop it off closer to where I've moved. I've never heard you couldn't until the other day! I was very disappointed. I might just look into that whole situation. Thank you, P French.

The truck had been running for hours prior to my arrival and the gas level was below half tank, however the paper work stated that the tank was half full. The truck was full of snow and ice when we arrived so we weren't able to leave until we cleaned off the truck. The poor girl who was working alone was out there trying to clean the truck, but was not successful so I had to shovel snow off of the truck to be able to leave so we lost over an hour.

Using the online process was smooth and easy. I only had to walk in and grab the keys to the truck. Returning was even easier.

The drivers side door did not shut properly. I felt unsafe. When I checked in inside the man did not put on his mask. I know he's behind plexiglass but the law says he still should have his mask on. When I dropped it off outside he came out and again did not wear his mask. He did keep his distance but out of respect for uhaul customers he should be wearing his mask. I picked up the vehicle at noon and scheduled to drop it off by noon the next day. I left my car there. I called that evening to see if I could leave my loaded truck at the uhaul parking lot and pick up my car for the night then come back in the morning so I could unload it. The woman who answered was not very helpful. She said that another employee in the morning would probably check the truck in. I said I would pick it up before they opened or I would leave a note in the truck explaining. Then I asked where to park it and she said there wasn't a place to park it. I could of left it in customer parking. It was extremely frustrating. I know she could of helped me. I also know that I would not hold the company responsible if there was a problem with my items in the truck. It's Hanover not a bad part of town. I believe they could of been more helpful.
