The so line check in process is slow and glitches constantly buffering slow even on Wi-Fi , clients were confused and upset and the workers were doing twice the work trying to get clients reservations to go through, took 35 minutes and I reserved online terrible

Forcing your customers to use a mobile device for check in is the worst process I've ever encountered. It took an extra half hour waiting as the system checked my documents. Terrible invasion of privacy. I won't be renting from uhaul again until you return to human customer service. And the Easter egg hunt for the key in a box with a secret code was also not amusing. It used to take 5 minutes and it was easy. This process is worse than a visit to the DMV.

When we went to our first location the UHaul we requested was not there. This heavily inconvenienced us to have to go to another location. The second UHaul we got was fine but made weird sounds from time to time. However, staff in all locations were very warm and welcoming. Although, when we finally checked out we were charged $50 extra which we then had to then talk to another employee to get fixed.

Your questions are targeted to answers you seek but do not describe how from when s reservation was booked the person Derick stated he was able too ok book the truck rental and the storage unit at the same location Which was what I stated I needed However Upon arrival not only were they booked At separate locations But I had been told by vehicle could park safely on the lot while I was moving The lot manager said not if those bookers don’t know what’s up There is no parking on the lot only street parking And That was limited and a walk-in back Plus must move vehicle or risk towing Then drive to storage facility fifteen minutes away and the lockers were small and the narrow corridor was an upper unit It will be difficult to load especially after moving items all night Now I will need labor to assist me $$$ and don’t know if they towed my car at the other site It’s a nightmare Now add no income homeless to the mix And saving items from landlords threatening to thrown them away And i I re as l realize now the high rental cost these days and how Storage facilities jack up the price beyond high demand And will continue to do so in rents So my things may not be mine for long. And mostly worthless to anyone else When I go to the unit I may need bigger storage and it’s not available A National corporation and this is how you run it And public storage is much worse! Why?

Absolutely crazy to me that your employees refuse to assist costumers in getting and returning your trucks. I was only referred to use my phone. DURING business hours. My truck was empty on gas when picked up and the check engine light was on.

However it's ridiculous that you make a reservation and then show up to have to do it all over again for Mobil check in. What was the point in giving me an option. Then to drop off keys we literally did it all while the clerk sat behind the counter. Why have clerks if the customer does all the work. Either hand your employees HELP the paying customers or get rid of the useless staff. Other than that my experience was a good one.

If you are going to make 24/7 share available at a location then make sure that it actually is. I wasted my time going to a location that I reserved for a 24/7 pick up then when I login for pick up it tells me I have to wait 2 Hrs for the stupid people to come and do there job like they should've done the first time. Then I call customer service and I got sent to a different location like if I have all the time in the world to just pick up the stupid cargo van. The point is that I do not find it in any way fair that I have to PAY $110 for horrible experience I would've honestly argued the amount I paid but I don't have time for the way you handle things.

Not much help on picking up the equipment. We totally dislike the self service app. Customers should be given the option to use self-checkout not forced to use it. The Van stunk to marijuana, the windshield was covered in a smoke film and made it hard to see at night. Upon returning the equipment I requested a person to person check out and was told it would be an additional twenty dollars. Total bs. Three employees were just sitting at the front counter chatting about personal matters and wouldn't help out. When I complained about the marijuana smell.thw guy with clown colored hair said they all smell like that, to which I replied that perhaps they needed to clean the vans like Enterprise Rentals....he replied that I was more than welcomed to go there that I wpuld pay more. I GOT PICTURES OF THE STAFF JUST SITTING DOWN...OR YOU CAN CHECK YOUR STORE CAMERAS.

The automated on the phone app process was long, laborious and felt like I was applying for a federal job. It took 30 minutes or longer while the people in the office said they could have checked me in and out in 10 minutes but their hands were tied to the new system. You make people work hard to give you money and use your service this is completely counter to providing excellent customer service and affects your employee morale because they are not engaging with the customer, it is very impersonal and will not use you again if I can help it.

Recommend rental truck with gas tank full. Very difficult to know how many gallons of gasoline is needed. I always ended up filling more gasoline than necessary.

Need to improve the mobile app. When I tried to pick up my vehicle the customer service rep asked me to upload my driver's license. I was unable to do so. Made me try 3-4 times. He finally agreed to help upload my license after seeing me struggle. Was a nice guy though. Then when returning my vehicle the same issue pops up. I'm unable to return the vehicle, and the app says I have to wait over an hour before I can get ahold of an agent. There's no option to leave notes for app malfunctions after the rental, which honestly needs to be fixed, so then I'm not charged for a service charge. I've made a dispute weeks ago, and I've yet to hear anything about my case. Wish my dispute would be addressed in a more timely response than having to write this review for potential customers to see.

New self-service checking/checkout is too long of a process and not friendly to navegate. Uhaul should minimize the number of steps and improve on site assist which is not easy to obtain!

My experience with checking in with your online set up was horrible. It was 105 degrees and I could not get anyone to confirm my information for more than 20 minutes. And when I approached the employees at the location I was told they can't do anything to help. I just think you need to improve your online service, the location has absolutely no problems.

A few months ago we rented a small truck for moving and we had no problem picking it up from the service desk. We called on the phone, stopped in, a representative helped us, and we were done, truck in hand in less than 20 minutes. Then last week we needed to rent a truck again for moving. We booked it online, and it gave us the option to do "counter pickup" or "mobile pickup." We selected "counter pickup." when we arrived on 8/20/2022 and went to the counter the representative pointed to a poster and told us to follow the mobile app. We were surprised and asked him to take care of us. He said "We can't do that anymore, you need to do it yourself." We told him we were there just a couple of months prior and a representative helped us, and we asked him to help us. He told us the NEW policy is that the customers have to do it. So upsettingly, we started going through all the steps, had questions along the way, not knowing exactly what to click on, or where stuff is. Frustrated by the process. We did not arrive to UHAUIL expecting SELF SERVICE, for the same price as we rented prior for CUSTOMER SERVICE. We are very upset by what happened. My girlfriend and I were both annoyed that there is literally NO MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We got a truck, but this is not what I expected. It required a username, password, all of which were on my HOME LAPTOP, not my CELL PHONE. And no one told me, when booking, that I would need this information. So I had to reset passwords, and waste precious time doing it through the mobile site. Whereas just 2 months prior, a HUMAN would interact, and help us complete the process with less headache. This is ridiculous. Both my girlfriend and I are in our 30s, and we know how to use mobile devices, but we expected a HUMAN to help us. Further, why does the website when you are booking give you an option, when really you DO NOT HAVE AN OPTION. It should say "ONLY MOBILE PICKUP AVAILABLE." Very frustrated. Very unfriendly. I expected to book online, arrive, give you my credit card, drivers license, and you do the rest, give me the keys to the truck. Like I would with a car rental. That is not at all what happened. This is not CUSTOMER SERVICE, this is SELF SERVICE. FOR THE SAME PRICE AS CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm doing the work! I should pay less. This is also discriminatory for people who don't have good English, or can't operate technology very well. And for people who don't have good cell phone service. It's hard to see the screen with good eyes when you are outside! Even less so for others with worse vision. Or when Someone else is doing the booking for you, like a friend or family member who helped the process, but is not there in person to retrieve their password. For people who want SELF SERICE, ok, let them. But we want CUSTOMER SERVICE. RIDICULOUS, VERY UNHAPPY.

Stop with the need for iPhone to rent your equipment. The humans in the location are able to handle the job. Sick of fooling around trying to get a response by iPhone. You need a course in how to use your equipment to be able to rent something. This sucks. If you continue with this BS, I'll try other rental agencies first.

The gas tank being kept at 1/2 is bad. When we return the vehicle and have to fill up the tank, it's easy to go past 1/2 a tank, so cutomers wind up paying more for gas than is needed.

While it might seem that reserving a truck, picking up, and returning a truck by phone might be efficient and faster but I found it confusing and cumbersome. I'm a tech savvy person and still found it difficult. I wouldn't recommend that experience to anyone. The positive thing about it is being able to drop off the vehicle after hours.

And when the dolly I had purchased was not ready in my rental, and the app told me to head back inside to find customer service, they weren't there so I just took one. I ordered a 10x10, it kept showing up online as a 5x5x8. Once I arrived in California, only half of my stuff could fit. I had to drive 17 miles to my cousin's to store the rest. Your staff was no help at all and the girl up front acted like I was inconveniencing her. It wasn't until the next day when I returned my truck, that Stephanie was the only one extremely professional, knowledgeable and compassionate.

The facility was clean but I didn't Notice that there was a Very Large Rodent Trap inside the Unit upon first Viewing it because the Employee was covering the space where it was sitting. I was very Surprised when I started Unloading my Items. I wanted to go and cancel the move- In but I really needed to store my things. We'll see how the first month goes fingers crossed 🤞.
