Both Lansing was helpful, but the jolly & cedar location was HORRIBLE. I called customer service as well and they just said “ok we will put it in the notes”. Very unhappy with the process. Luckily north lansing helped me when they could.

Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. My reservation was ready on-time and the process to pick up / drop off the truck went very smoothly. . The truck however was another story. The transmission needs some work. It didn’t shift smoothly and it was a bit rough to drive. Also the rubber seal around the passenger side door is pulling away.

The U haul location was awesome. The customer service rep on the phone in the call center was inept, though. I wanted a 10' box and there were none. She ended up reserving a 15' box for me at this location. I get there and they literally had nothing left. The guy there was awesome, though. He ended up getting me a pick-up. All the guys at this location were great.

I was given a quote on-line from UHaul for a 5x8 covered trailer. Had an email from UHaul confirming the amount and other pertinent details. Husband picks up the trailer and this location upped the amount! This is not conducive to make me a returning customer. Thankfully, Sigourney in UHaul customer service was able to rectify the problem and credited my credit card the overcharge. Bottom line, I can not recommend this location.

Employees listened to my issues and where needed took appropriate action. My start fuel was too low - and lower than sign-out sheet indicated. I ended up with a fuel credit on my bill. Other than I was a little nervous about getting to a gas station before running dry, the overall experience took care of all my needs and Uhaul held up their end of the deal.

I reserved a van with a utility dolly a couple of weeks before I was to move my daughter out of her 2nd story apartment. I didn't need it for two whole days, but there was not an option for the amount of time that I did need it. When I arrived to pick them up, they did not have a utility dolly available, and the van they rented to me needed an oil change. They offered an appliance dolly to me, which I took, but it was not usable for what I needed. I've rented from this location several times, and this is the first time I've had any issues. I was charged for having it for 2 days even though it was only about 32 hours. I believe that if an item is not available when it should be, the replacement one should be included for free. Also, I feel that since I brought the van back several hours before it needed to be, there should have been some kind of credit for that also. If there was an option for unsure for the "Would you recommend this location to a friend", that is what I would mark.

try to inpect the the cargo bed for cleanliness before turning it over to the next customer. the van i rented has some kind of sticky liquid on the cargo floor. I was about to return and have the van replaced; since i did not have much time, I decided to cover the floor with plastic to protect the supplies I hauled.

To be honest, I’ve never had a friendly U-Haul customer service agent and this continued to be the case. The worker was incredibly rude and said to my husband, “if you were listening than you would know where the truck was” when he never actually told us. He also was rude to the people in front of us. When returning the truck, we had to wait a very long time for someone to check it back in. Just bad all around.

The trailer drop off went so quickly and smoothly that I didn't have a chance to get the names of the two employees at the north Lansing U-Haul place who helped me. They both seemed pleasant and efficient, so I have no suggestions for improvements.

TOP QUALITY SERVICE FROM THE STAFF!!!

Staff members went above and beyond to repair a damaged or not properly installed wiring harness so that equipment could be safely installed and properly rented. Even further, the associate with the electronic knowledge used the repair process as a learning tool to provide experience to other employees. From rent to return, all interaction was positive and i was very happy with my service and choice.

the first van had a flat and needed an oil change. Second van had a broken mirror on the passenger side but whatever. I waited for an hour to check in - after I had already checked in on my phone. The girl appeard to not have her coffee yet - no sunny disposition there! The return process was slightly better - the person who finished the transaction was very kind and apologized numerous times for the amount of time it took. He was wonderful and knew his job well - I wish I knew his name I would write in a kudos letter to the owner. I won't rent from this location again - too much hassle.

Communication was very poor. the website needs a tune up. 1. Tracking the pod didnt work. as a customer I want to know where on the map my Pod is not that it left and is coming. 2. My Pod was 3 days over due. I didnt get an email , a call, nothing to notify me of the delay. 3. The Owner in the Lansing Mi. location had to call to find out the process as to discounting the shipment. He did and gave me credit for the 3 day delay. 4. Originally I wanted the pod delivered to the Jolly / Ceder lansing location. The person in sarasota that made the order for me told me that location was not available for pods. Even after I had spoke to the owner at the Jolly/Cedar location and was told that we could have it delivered there. 5. Just restating "Communication" is poor.

When I got there to pick up the truck it was not ready for me. It was snow-covered and blocked in by another truck. The guy that waited on us move the truck that was in front of it but didn't offer to clean the snow off or take the sign out of the window very unhappy that it was not ready so put me behind schedule on my move. This is not the first time I've had issues with this location. A few months ago I had rented a truck to empty out my storage unit and when I got to the storage unit the truck had dollies and bags of blankets in it. And when we took the truck back to them to let them know this they gave us a different truck which was the next size smaller they really need to start checking their equipment

I was given a truck that had the gas tank drilled out. I was told the truck passed inspection. I was told the truck was at a quarter tank of gas. I put $20 worth of gasoline into the truck. It all started leaking out like a sieve. Your employee had the audacity to ask me to drive a truck leaking gasoline back to the location. No thanks.

Had to wait 10 min for someone to be in the store, it was empty when I went to pick up keys. They double booked my 17’ truck I rented, and then couldn’t find the keys for it so they gave me a 15’ truck, which didn’t fit everything I needed to move.

Easy in, easy put, and the equipment was exceptionally clean. Since we were moving a sofa, the cleanliness was of paramount importance. once we saw the van, we knew we wouldn't even need a protective sheet!

Took over 45 minutes to obtain the van I had reserved days ahead of time. There was only one worker in the location and several people in line with reservations to pick up. Was very frustrating as I overheard the worker stating they had just sent people home since the location was not busy at the time. However, one should have seen the reservations and known it was going to get busy quickly. Also, the reservation somehow ended up under the name of the "primary driver" instead of my name which I had put in. Made it difficult and time consuming to locate my reservation.

Really frustrated with our rental from here. This is the secone time we have tried this location, and again displeased. This time around, we showed up at 8:45am to pick up the truck via rapid/mobile pickup and the app said the trick was not reserved. So, we had to then wait until 9am to get someone to assist. Mind you, we live 15 minutes away and movers were coming at 9:30am. When they opened, they didn't have any 26' trucks as I had reserved because they had to be checked in and so on. I asked for a 20' one instead because we needed to go. And, they didn't have any of those ready either. As if moving is not stressful enough, right? Unbelievable. We ended up with the 20' truck after waiting a few minutes for it to be checked in as we needed a truck. Will NOT give this location another try. Very disappointed.

The app was really confusing and when i tried to modify my reservation it actually canceled it. Thankfully the woman at the counter was very nice and helpful. It would be helpful if you had a PHOTO of the items you can add to order next to the name. For example, I don't know the difference between an appliance dolly and a hand truck. Seeing the photos would be great. Overall, it was so easy - thank you!

Add ramps to 10" trucks. The 10" Truck I had did not have a loading/unloading ramp that made it difficult for me to load and unload truck especially as I'm on Disability

We had tremendous customer service. The gal hooked us up and even threw in a pack of moving blankets at no charge, just in case we needed them. I would definitely rent a trailer again from UHaul. We didn't realize how inexpensive it was to rent a covered trailer.

odd situation happened for my reservation, another customer had taken my truck on accident. Staff was helpful and got me into a replacement truck that was a step bigger for no fee as they didn't have more of the size I reserved.

The vehicle was stuck in snow in the parking lot. Vehicle was not brought out for me, no cleared windows, wipers not in place. Upon return I was met outside by employee to put the key in the door and that he'd email a receipt. He did but I was uncomfortable leaving the key in the door.

I refilled the cargo van I rented so it was full when I returned it YET I am being charged $19.88 in fuel charges. I have called 4 times now, and I just received another receipt in my email showing the exact same charge. I am very angry and upset and will never rent from uhaul again and I will tell everyone not to trust them.

The first truck I got, I couldn’t undo the seatbelt, your employee had to help me. Then as I was going to my destination I noticed the check engine light was on. I returned it. They wanted to charge me for the mileage. The second truck, when I checked the mileage it was different from what was on the paperwork. The employee looked at it said it was on the trip meter not the mileage. That should have been checked before it was given to me. The truck also smelled of smoke.
