Jessie provided excellent customer service (despite being swamped with customers and being the only one there). The hitch connection did not sound secure and we stopped to make sure it was connected properly given the amount of noise it was making. Was not much better when trailer was loaded.

The GM who was working there was phenomenal. It seemed that everyone got there soon as I did and he was helping several people at a time. Each person spent no more then several minutes completing everything required and heading out the door. If this person doesn't get a pay increase for his incredible work Uhaul doesn't deserve to be in business. I've never seen anyone work as fast and efficient at an establishment before.

Put 2 new tires on tow dolly when first 9 year old tire has to be replaced. 9 year old weather/age checked tires tend to blow out on the expressway when the service tech is 1-3/4 hours away and has to pick up wheel and tire before coming. Probably not the location's problem.

I was overcharged for an item I never received. I had to call the pickup location to have them call and explain that I never received the item. Jesse a manager at this location was unhelpful and extremely rude. Would not recommend.

We were late arriving but our rental was still ready and waiting. Pick up went smooth and we were treated with courtesy and professionalism by Jesse, who was working short staffed. Drop off was even easier. We were met at the drop line and everything was taken care of for us. We were in and out in a manner of minutes I highly recommend using this location.

Way too small of parking lot, only 1 person working inside and line was very long. A uhaul was blocking the return entrance so didn't know where to park it. Couldn't find anyone outside to ask and inside the line was not moving

Vehicle had obviously not been cleaned for a while. Cigarette ashes in the door compartments, trash and straw wrappers in other open compartments in the front. Front window smeared all over with someone's hand making swirls. Dust on all dash surfaces. Upon communicating this, I received the most backhanded apology where the store reminded me this was my fault and I would be held liable for any mess or damage. "were sorry, but you're liable" is not a great customer service approach. After blaming me, the person I spoke with then blamed "new employees" for not knowing how to clean a vehicle. The service was so poor I didn't even want to engage with the staff at this location up return, so I spent forever doing a mobile return. I returned the truck early and picked up a rental from Enterprise Commercial Truck Rental. It was phenomenally clean and well maintained. The customer service was stellar. Trying to speak with someone through the UHaul Support # is a nightmare. My calls were repeatedly disconnected. I was repeatedly transferred and told no one could help me. It took 45 minutes on the phone and at least 5 different people before a manager told me I could do a mobile return and avoid interacting with this location and staff upon return. I'm sure I'll be charged for cleaning fees that are not even related to anything I did. I will never rent from Uhaul again after this experience, and I typically rent multiple times a year for my business.

The service is always great at this location, however the return process using the uhaul app is frustrating. There are consistent error codes and once you do get pictures taken to submit and hit next it loads forever, will then refresh and you have to start all over. I don't know if it's a connection issue at the location or the app itself. Either way, it needs improvement as this is my second time spending at least 45 minutes to an hour trying to do an equipment return where it should take 15 minutes at the very most.

Have the trucks parked in a more convenient way. We had the tightest squeeze to get the truck out and almost side swiped every other truck on the way out from how close they had them parked next to each other.

They didn't have the equipment I reserved days before. I showed up 10 minutes before my pick-up time, yet it took 30 minutes to sign some paperwork and pay despite it being slow. The manager was also kind of condescending to one of the employees in front of me, which was unprofessional. The manager was also completely unhelpful or apologetic about the poor communication about the the rental amount, the need for a backup contact, and the lack of equipment I ordered, instead he just tried to up-sell me.

The two men working at this facility were fantastic. I don't know how the two of them could maintain that location by themselves for a whole day on a busy sunday, but they did it with great class. Absolutely worst customer service. Worker lied about the gas in the truck and then charged me for gas I had already refilled. I contacted the manager and I still haven't heard anything back! I would never recommend this place!

I pulled up to the return location. The guy there was cleaning out a truck. He looked at me and walked off further into the lot. I waited a minute and no one else showed up. I walked into the building. It was empty. I pushed the button for the bell, another guy came out of the office looked at me and went back into his office. About a minute later someone else came out of the office and finally acknowledge my existence. He was very helpful and took care of me right away.

The vehicle had a low tire pressure indicator message.The gas tank was not full. The rental was for four hours, from 10am-2pm. We arrived at 9:45 but wasn’t able to leave the property until almost 10:30 due to wait time, rental agreement and photos of the vehicle yet I was still instructed to have vehicle back by 2pm.

Picking up the uhaul was fine. Drop the U-haul off. Talk to store rep. He said everything was fine. Just needed to go fill my gas up. I did brought it back thinking everything was good. Handed him keys. Tell him to check it so I can make sure everything was good.Soon as I leave the next day, I'm being charged. I was charged 3 times before. I realized I was still being charged from U-haul, after dropping my U-haul off and being told everything was good. When I called, they I owe a fee. going over in miles but never said that when I dropped the truck off. I asked it to speak to a supervisor and I'm currently still waiting, but getting messages saying I could dispute, but yet my account hasn't been updated. Nor have I been able to speak to a supervisor on why they charge me a day after I dropped the rental off. Or if they were gonna put the money back on the card that they took it from!

It may be easier said than done, but it would be nice if the trailer that I reserved online in advance was ready to go upon my arrival. The manager had to shovel snow away all around it which took some time. Thankfully I wasn’t in a hurry, but I thought they could have been more prepared. Everything else was great!

What you would expect from a U-Haul location, trailer rolled fine although the trailer brakes didn’t work. You absolutely cannot rent a trailer unless they call a number on the spot for. 5 second call and that person has to answer or they won’t let you rent. So if you’re a little light on friends and family that can answer the phone during business hours be sure to plan that out.

The Manager Quintas Nelson was very professional during our interaction, However an issue came to light I had never encountered during my decades of using the Uhaul Brand, I was in need of a 5x8 enclosed for a 24hr rental, My wife was in spinal surgery that day, ie last time renting, I had made a reservation as always, this time for a 1:30pm pickup, My Wife was to be picked up from Sparrow Hospital approximately 2:30pm, I arrived at the N. East Uhaul Lansing Mich, at 1:15pm, upon checking in I was told by Quintas that he must contact my alternate contact to verify something, to my surprise I had never encountered this ever, I explained that my Wife was in Surgery and wouldn't be able to answer, he tried and it went to voicemail, she had called a short time earlier to my cell, I showed Quintas that the number she called from match the alternate number, He outright refused to rent the trailer to me, even in light of my rental history, I ask why?, what's the issue ?, he explained that they have three working zip-codes in which they could rent to, I explained that the building directly to the south of the N. East location was my business front for ten years and that I had gotten comfortable using the N.East location, He refused to rent to me, the most absurd encounter ever, meanwhile my Wife's pickup looms, I demanded Corporate numbers, I call the President of Mid-Michigan Uhaul - Melissa Pearl - 517-285-6304, I explained the dilemma, She was very helpful, She call Quintas and took care of the situation, Thank you, Melissa, I can only assume that the zip code area of operation is to force Uhaul Customers to a location nearest them to be equally fair to all Uhaul vendors in the area, I understand the policy, however I do not agree with the policy of calling an alternate contact to verify what?, I felt like a criminal of sorts, I have a long rental history, I felt like Quintas had the authority to use discretion when dealing with such minor issues, and if not, he should, I was very late picking up my Wife after Spinal Surgery, Would I recommend Uhaul??

The storage Facility was fine but there has been so much confusion on the fact we did not receive the free month promotion after renting a one-way truck. They keep saying they will refund a month of the storage unit and it never happens. We have asked about it on 3 separate occasions. We are trying once again to get refunded for one of the months we were charged. There is also never enough assistance in the office, it is usually one person and you have to wait a while to receive help. The staff is helpful but it takes awhile to receive assistance.

My storage unit was broken into $3,000 of wheels and tires got stolen out of it and no one wanted to do anything about it no one wanted to answer questions then I stopped my storage unit and that was November of 23 and all of a sudden I understand that I have the storage unit until 7:00 or 24 one person told me to come and get my belongings next person I could not get a hold of anybody called corporate kept on calling the U-Haul on North Street no return phone calls..... and I was getting the runaround and I called corporate and corporate would call U-Haul on North Street and said that they return my call No Such return. If you go back on the records you can see that I use U-Haul for several things I rent numerous times car dollies car trailers trailers and Storage and I am not happy at all and I would like someone to contact me. While moving out of my unit I noticed that all of my stuff has gotten wet and was growing some sort of fungus or mold from the wet/dry. The driveway in front of my unit flooded regularly and made it hard to access the unit due to very muddy conditions, including move out day.

Drive in front of my unit was water and mud which was splashing up on door and my lock. Lock was getting very hard to open due to water and dirt inside it . At some point I’m going to need something from inside my unit and I’m gonna have to have them drill out the lock turning a 5 min stop into an unexpected half hour or more

I’ve been in a long time U-Haul buyer I am using renting trucks from you guys I drove a truck from Florida and piggyback from Tampa to Clearwater Michigan had a little difficulty what’s the tires it was a brand new truck they took me from Tampa to Georgia two days cause the tires One tire had a bad bleed and your balance is off balance .I call made A guy come out and change it he said your front end is off alignment I it from Middle of Georgia to Clearwater Michigan and one day and I had to go to Dewitt Michigan because your U-Haul place was on 27th in Lansing. You guys said you were going to reimburse me when I did that and August but I never got reimbursed for the trouble on sorrow but Use U-Haul.I asked the store person if I could deliver trucks to state to state she told me to go to grand Rapids I would love to do that I love driving my number is 239-293-5870

I tented a storage unit and truck bcuz I had 24 hours to get my belongings from my current residence. I paid for the storage specifically ask the gentleman before I left if the storage would be unlocked before I got back because U-Haul lock was on it and he said yes he would take care of that. This was 2 hours before they close I come back with a whole entire load out of my house and the lock was still on it oh, they were already closed oh, so I couldn't drop my belongings off to go back and get the rest of my things. The next morning I waited over 3 hours just to find out that this door is rented was already rented and it took me another two hours to find a new storage. Why I got a new storage I do not know because I lost all my belongings because I didn't get them out of my current residence in enough time. So out of my entire house all I got was the things from the shed. And I also only got a refund for the storage unit. Considering I had to pay for the moving truck but yet didn't get to use it because I had nowhere to put my things. He don't have to worry about that now cuz they're all gone, thanks again U-Haul

My only complaint is that the door on my unit tended to get stuck. But any time I couldn't open it myself the staff were more than willing to help me out. So overall it wasn't a detriment, just a slight annoyance.

The staff were great. The storage unit was filthy; glad I had a large broom and time. I also am concerned that I have to sit on the ground to see my lock combination and when it snows both I will be cold and the lock will be covered in snow.

We paid for 24 hour access, never did we pay late and the general manager would put the extra lock on our unit so we couldn't get into when we wanted. We would ask the young man that was working and he had no idea why the extra lock. Also when we took our storage elsewhere there was mold all over all my stuff and the floor was wet. Destroyed alot of my antique furniture Destroyed. I will never recommend this place for storage units.
