The problem I ran into was timing. I only had a truck for 2 hours, 10 AM - 12 PM, I just had to move a fridge. I arrived at 10 AM, but there was 4 different people being helped by each cashier plus another 5 people in line ahead of me. By the time I got the keys it was about 10:30 AM. Then there was an issue with the door of my original truck so they had to get me a new truck, so by the time I left it was already 10: 45 AM. Then around 11: 15 AM I got a text stating the truck had to be returned by 12 PM. I tried calling the 800 number and the store number but both lines said they were so busy they couldn't take the call and then hung up on me. I got the truck back by 12:45 PM and thankfully the manager didn't charge me since I explained what happened, but I really think the time you leave the Uhaul store should be the when your time limit starts.

Everyone has a tough day at work now and then, but the dude was rude and I'll refuse service from that individual if I ever rent at this location again. He was fast, though, so maybe it's worth the trade-off?... I'll think it over

No mask were worn by any of the staff which is not major but personnel that was helping me complained of allergies and sniffling. Again not a major deal breaker but for review necessary to point out.

jim P.I did everything online before my pick up scheduled at 9.30AM. I arrived at 9.18AM. I finished my transaction at 10.05AM. Then when I went to my truck, it was in the middle of 2 other trucks! So I had to go BACK inside which took another 15minutes. Then the "moving help" I purchased online with my reservation, was 2.5hrs LATE arriving at my location. By the time my move was over, it was PAST my reservation time by 45min!!! Terrible experience.

The gauge did not register full and I informed the red haired young man. He stated he would put in notes but I was still charged $4.00. This is unacceptable. He is also the same person when I got my vehicle was rude and unprofessional. I would like the $4.00 credited.

One asked for where another staff member was she said “I don't know and I don't care.†Another staff member asked for advice and she responded with “I don't want to know about it.†That attitude will only breed a toxic environment. She acted like she owned the placed. Suggest customer serve training, She doesn't represent your culture. Anyhow the rest of the service and staff were great.

Worst part was the U-Haul rental agreements that now use the customers personal cell phone to help in the transactions. The process was eventually worked out but did seem to have been dreamed up by some corporate committee.

It never happened, I spent a good month trying to connect with someone and never got any response. No reply to my emails from the manager of the location, calls to the Director of Ops routed from the helpdesk. Sad experience from a big company like UHaul. I just want my $15 refunded as promised for setting up auto-debit!

Dean V.I suppose the online check-in process requires all the hoops one has to jump through (forms, questions, etc.) using a mobile phone, but in the end I still had to go inside and wait behind 4 customers to obtain a key to the vehicle. The point was lost on me, other than it saved your employees from having to enter that information for me. It was a frustrating experience, because I expected it to be smoother - I gained nothing in time nor expediency nor potential exposure to Covid-19.

The only thing I can recommend is to not leave one person working inside at the counter on the 1st day of the month when it's a big holiday. The poor woman was swamped and kudos to her for staying calm through all of it. She made the experience of waiting in line forever bearable.

michael W.I was disappointed that the pickup truck i had reserved was not available. Due to the change in vehicles, when I went to the landfill I was charged $55 because of the particular truck I was driving. Had I had the pickup, I would not have been charged. It also took twice as long because I had to have the truck weighed upon entering and upon leaving. Not only did I not get the truck i was promised, but my project cost also doubled because of it.

Nitesh R.This is more of a UHAUL complaint vs. the local pickup location, but unfortunately they are the recipient of the negative review because ultimately they did not deliver what I reserved and was promised. UHAUL sent me to 4 different locations for a 10 foot truck. Apparently, they oversold the inventory as there was an issue at each location and I was sent to another. Had to take a 15' truck. Not what I wanted, reserved, or was guaranteed. Huge issue.

I make an online reservation before my trip, walk off a plane, pick out a car, show my DL at the gate and within 5 minutes or less I'm on my way. I have a uhaul account and it's still a pain to complete a reservation. Then you still have to wait in a very slow line because they ask you all the same questions you completed online??? Seems like it could/should be much easier.

I then received a late notice that I owe for the monthly rent PLUS a late fee. I am not paying this. My account needs to be resolved. The charges for 2 spaces were more than for 1 10 x 20 unit. They should have honored the price for a 10 x 20 unit. Originally the truck and trailer would have to be returned to the West McKinney location, very inconvenient, but after speaking another with attendant, Anna, said that “no” I do not have to West McKinney location. She was the most helpful and professional in all the attendants I was in contact during this 2 day ordeal. It was a nightmare during the West McKinney location and would never go back there. Anna, at the Plano location would highly recommend her for future promotions.

The truck was somewhat dirty, but I already prepared to wipe it down with wipes and the wipes were very dirty steering wheel and drivers seat. I also wore gloves to ensure safety with the virus I think the trucks need to be wiped down on the inside for safety. The signal light did not work and the truck needed an alignment. Did not discover until I had gotten on the highway and had a timeline to get to my destination or I would have returned. I reported These concerns upon return. Might want to check the truck out more thoroughly prior to rentals. The storage unit was also dirty. However, the staff member was so nice and did sweep it out and apologized for it being dirty.

I set up auto pay when I first got the unit, again after the first error, and AGAIN after the 2nd error. So 3rd time was the charm I guess. Also got the feeling the staff was quite nosey. Almost everytime I went to my unit a staff member showed up. My unit was on the 2nd floor, and one time I went to drop off some heavy furniture. Elevator wasnt working so I called the front office. The guy was pretty rude and said "you can use the stairs". Try moving a large recliner up those stairs by yourself. Likely wont use them again should I ever need to.
