The first truck was in the middle of the line. Had to return to the counter to get the keys to another vehicle. The second vehicle had a low tire and the mileage wasn't correct. It took them about 20 minutes before I finally requested another truck. The 3rd truck was fine.

I waited 20 minutes to turn in a truck because a trailer hook-up process was blocking the drive. The employee stood there and talked to the customer and didn't seem to acknowledge that trucks were attempting to pull in. It was ridiculous. My truck windows were dirty and the ride in a 10 foot vehicle was worse than the larger trucks I have rented from Uhaul in the past. I have ways had good experiences until today.

Hi Team, I took my Uhaul truck on Jan 3rd and my receipt was $57.57 and I have used it below 2 hours only and hand over the key to Uhaul staff on the same day. The next day I have received one more receipt of $36.70 and added 2 days' charges of everything. I have raised my complained but still its not resolved.

Thanks to U-Haul we were able to store my college stuff after I moved back. My dad always rents from U-Haul. The storage timings, carts and temp controlled environment made things easier.

Not a pleasant experience!! My issue is not with the local office, but with U-Haul's unsatisfactory check-in process. I have rented equipment at this location many times over several years. I get annoyed that even though I made a reservation, there is always a lengthy wait and check in process, even though I have started checking in online. Even though I have checked in online, selection what equipment and services I do or do not want and providing copies of my drivers license and credit card information, I am asked again what equipment and services I want and and again am asked for my drivers license and credit card. U-Haul seriously needs to consider implementation of a process similar to National Car Rental, where I go straight to the rental vehicle without having to physically check-in.

Pickup of the trailer at the Plano North location was a bit of a mess. Took over an hour and ten minutes and I ended up leaving with a trailer that was bigger than originally rented (not a huge issue, but bigger than necessary resulting in horrible gas mileage over my trip). The first trailer I had connected to had a malfunctioning light and couldn't be fixed, so they hooked me to another trailer the original size. After fifteen minutes of waiting to find out if I could take that one they told me that I wouldn't be able to because it had been reported stolen. Ended up getting hooked to the larger trailer and was sent on my way after a few more minutes. The employees were all extremely helpful and courteous, however it seems as if management needed to get their act together and have the store better staffed for the volume of customers renting and returning that day. It would be hard for me to return to this location based on my overall experience, however, the employees genuine good mood and attitudes did make it a better experience.

I haul trailers frequently and just needed the motorcycle to haul my bike. I had pointed out a fire that looked bad on the trailer and in return just asked if I could get a spare so that I wouldn't be stuck on the side of the road. Instead of even just swapping the tire out I was just told if it blew that I had roadside assistance. And of course on the trip the tire blew out and was stuck on the side of the road for 2 hours at 3am in the morning. So of course I was annoyed and when the road side assistance showed up he ended up swapping both sides out because the other tire that hadn't blown was also in horrible shape. He couldn't believe the trailer left with the tires that were on it.

This review is not specific to this drop off location this is about my entire experience with Uhaul. First off, when they called to schedule the drop off of my Ubox they said I was the first stop on the route and it would be at my place between 8am-9am. When 9:30 came and still no box I called only to be told there was an issue with the truck but the issue would be resolved in 10-15 mins and be there soon. Another 2 hours pass and still no box. I call again only to be told it's going to be hours before the box arrives. I took the day off work because of the original time quote and missed an entire days worth of pay only to have my box not come to me until 4:30pm-5:00pm which means I could have worked my full shift and not missed out on money had they just quoted me the right time. When I called to complain about this the lady said a manager would be pulling the call to confirm I was quoted that time (which I was) and would be reaching out to me for a refund which has yet to happen. Now for the drop off. I had changed my phone number a few weeks before the box was dropped off at the second location and it's completely my fault for forgetting to update the phone number in your system. However, no one emailed me letting me know they tried to reach out to me about scheduling and no one called the secondary number I'm almost positive I had put down on file. All I got was an email saying I qualified to keep the box at your facilities for an extra charge. When they finally came to drop off my box the driver told me there was no way to drop off the box anywhere near my actual apartment and so we would be needing to carry my entire life's worth of stuff across the huge apartment complex and up 3 flights of stairs with not even so much as an apology. When I tried to get her to drop it off closer to my apartment she basically said no she was going to be putting it where she wanted to and there was nothing I could do about it. Luckily she had a manager get involved and we were able to find a work around and the manager we spoke with was very helpful. The driver on the other hand gave me immense amounts of attitude in the process and made my moving day a million times more stressful than it needed to be. I chose Uhaul because you are supposed to be a reputable company whom I have moved with a few times before but this is the absolute worst service I have ever received from any company I have ever dealt with. If I am to ever move again I will absolutely be going with a different company and anyone I know who is moving I will be sure to let them know what an awful experience this has been and to save themselves the trouble. Again, there has been nothing done at this point to reconcile the situation and I am just besides myself with how terrible this was.

Overall, we had an excellent and easy experience with U-Haul. The only issue we had was we returned our truck one day early, but near closing time. We were asked to check our trucks in online. That was a long, unclear process. Taking pictures, etc, wasn't a problem, really, but we didn't have a lot of time, and this made our check-in experience difficult. The employees were not aware that we were actually a day early, and I think they were trying to help us get the trucks checked in before being charged with an extra day. Other than this slight miscommunication, everything was super great!

Website check in was the worse. Please update so others do not continue to have the problem checking in because of share location was accepted on your site. The reviews that I read all pretty much stated the same. The check in took to long and needed assistance.

Contactless check-in to access the vehicle but still having to go inside to get keys was not very efficient process. Especially if I have to wait in line to get the key. Equipment return was quickly done though

This is twice in last month I have rented a truck from this location. The interiors of the truck looks like only a leaf blower cleans them out. In this moment of of Covid times, you all need these interiors of trucks to look they are show room new. Give me the appearance you have "cleaned" the interiors of the trucks. The last truck I rented the AC only worked intermittently and the windshield wipers left streaks when trying to clean windshield. This would be a hazard in the rain. Not happy renting trucks from uhaul.

At this location the customer service is terrible. Records will show that I rent uhaul trucks at least 4 times a month and each time at this location I am in line over 20 minutes. During which time you have several employees doing nothing except texting on cellphones. This issue must be addressed.

The U-Box arrived much sooner than expected. Everything went well although there was a bit of confusion this morning when U-Haul called asking about delivering the U-Box contents to me when the people in the office know I was there last Wednesday to unload it. The other constant problem with U-Haul (all locations) is the long waits for anyone to answer the phone. It's beyond reasonable the amount of time you have to wait.

Dropping off and picking up from the houses was excellent. Problem was one of the six boxes was dropped from the forklift when unloading at the Warehouse. When communicating with the location one lady(Russian accent) was very rude and lacked customer service skills. When I spoke with the GM he was very helpful and answered my questions on the U-box that fell, he apologized for the fallen box but could at least of offered to compensate for storage fee or delivery fee as a token of good faith. Overall the location is great except for the front desk office staff and the fact my belongings fell from a forklift.

Donna at the check in was extremely helpful, professional and kind. I made the reservation 3 months before and I made modifications within. I did receive so many phone calls from customer service, good thing but each time at seemed my reservation had to be confirmed over and over again and I was annoyed by that. I stated over the phone that I didn't want to have surprises on the pick up day. Still, when I picked up the 20 footer, it showed a due amount of over $ 1200 as for my original reservation. Donna handled it greatly and made it right. People were waiting behind us and she called immediately for support as my process was taking longer than it was supposed to have been. She deserves an award. Thank you Donna

I dropped the trailer after closing because the agent said they really needed it the next morning. No discussion of an AFTER HOURS FEE. I have rented many times over almost 40 years and never heard of after hours fee. I am disgusted w Uhaul.

Storage Manager consistently attempted to up-sale the transaction. Repeatedly tried to enforce policies without proof. She added insurance and a padlock without my acknowledgment. When I questioned it, she stated it was policy in order to get the FREE month of storage but was unable to provide said proof. She was very rude. My unit is clear across the building away from elevator access. I walk pass dozens of empty “Customer Ready” units. Not sure if my unit was chosen for office convenience or In spite of my complaints.

There is a lot of storage units to pick from much cheaper, However if I did not have billing issues it was clean and something I would have recommended. I have confirmed with emails And pictures Uploaded I moved out with notice month ago and still got a bill with late fee unable to get thru to the person whom sent the letter not work in Plano I’m told. I physically went to Plano manager aware I was there to talk but ever made it to front and the GM whom I left detailed message two times has yet to call me back

When I signed up and paid for my storage unit, the sales associate never told me I needed an access code or gave me an access card. Therefore, when we showed up at 9p with a truckload to put in the Unit, we were not able to get in! I had hired movers to help, so now have to pay them again to come a second time. This is inexcusable incompetence on the part of the sales associate and was not a good start to using your facility, not does it make me confident I chose the best facility.

I cleaned my unit out 2 days before my rent was due. I called the 24th and 25th to cancel my account. I was on hold for 30 minutes each time and no one ever answered. I then received a call from someone at UHaul saying that they noticed my unit was empty. They wanted to confirm that I had moved out and no longer needed the unit. I confirmed. I then received a late notice that I owe for the monthly rent PLUS a late fee. I am not paying this. My account needs to be resolved. I tried to call again, but again, no one answered for over 20 minutes.

The clerk at West McKinney location told me Plano location would have a 10 x 20 climate control space, when I arrived they were told no “they do not have a 10x 20 space so I had to take 2 10 x 10 spaces, therefore had to buy 2 locks instead of 1. The charges for 2 spaces were more than for 1 10 x 20 unit. They should have honored the price for a 10 x 20 unit. Originally the truck and trailer would have to be returned to the West McKinney location, very inconvenient, but after speaking another with attendant, Anna, said that “no” I do not have to West McKinney location. She was the most helpful and professional in all the attendants I was in contact during this 2 day ordeal. It was a nightmare during the West McKinney location and would never go back there. Anna, at the Plano location would highly recommend her for future promotions.

I came back to the facility after hours with my trailer that i rented to unload my stuff into my storage unit and neither the card or access code would allow me entry into the building. The lady who checked us out said they have been having issues with the alarm in the building but never mentioned not being able to open the door once office hours where over. I was also suppose to return the trailer last night after unloading and couldnt do that either.

I always choose this location it's my favorite. They are always friendly and helpful. The truck was somewhat dirty, but I already prepared to wipe it down with wipes and the wipes were very dirty steering wheel and drivers seat. I also wore gloves to ensure safety with the virus I think the trucks need to be wiped down on the inside for safety. The signal light did not work and the truck needed an alignment. Did not discover until I had gotten on the highway and had a timeline to get to my destination or I would have returned. I reported These concerns upon return. Might want to check the truck out more thoroughly prior to rentals. The storage unit was also dirty. However, the staff member was so nice and did sweep it out and apologized for it being dirty.

Had a few issues. Biggest I had was that I set up auto pay, and TWICE I got nasty notices in the mail saying I had missed my payment and threatened with lockout. I set up auto pay when I first got the unit, again after the first error, and AGAIN after the 2nd error. So 3rd time was the charm I guess. Also got the feeling the staff was quite nosey. Almost everytime I went to my unit a staff member showed up. My unit was on the 2nd floor, and one time I went to drop off some heavy furniture. Elevator wasnt working so I called the front office. The guy was pretty rude and said "you can use the stairs". Try moving a large recliner up those stairs by yourself. Likely wont use them again should I ever need to.

The only wish I have is that the storage units was accessible until later than 7pm without paying for a 24 hr access. It makes it difficult for people getting off of work at 5 or 6. Extend to 9??
