JOHN S | First ImpressionsThe truck I had was worse I ever got from U Haul. Here are the problems. 1. Drivers door wouldn't shut right. 4. Had a hard time putting putting it into drive. 2.The front was pulling hard to the right. 3.Drivers mirror wouldn't stay in position. This truck is unsafe to drive. Talked to the store manger , but I will it was put back on the line .again. He didn't seem to care and didn't offer anything.
CARL PCustomer service was excellent, vehicle was clean, but vehicle had check engine light on, guzzled gas excessively compared to same make and model previously rented before it (with tow/haul switched off), and steering had a lot of play causing vehicle to wander on the highway and was a bit of a challenge to keep on my highway lane.

JAMES MThe truck had over 160k miles and was unsafe to drive. Brake pedal went to the floor twice with little braking performance. ABS and transmission malfunction lights were on. All windows were filthy and the headlights were pointed straight at the ground in front of the truck. Couldn’t see at night. Horrible experience with a dangerous truck! What happened UHaul?

Then when it came to get the truck I rented it was blocked which is a no biggie told the gentleman and he said he’ll be right back 20 min later of waiting had to go to the office again the lady came outside to help me then was to lazy to move the truck so she said she’ll switch the truck and she would send the contract so I took it to hook up the trailer for my vehicle 35 min of waiting and trying to confirm the truck never received the new contract so they took the new one to give me back the original truck once that was settle came out that the trailer had a flat tire took another 25 min overall what was supposed to be a quick pick up came out to almost a two hour delay poor customer service.

SAMUEL KRemember to check and see if the previous renter left their lock on the trailer. I was assisted on hookup and individual c h ecked turn signals and breaks on trailer, but never noticed a master key lock still locking the doors shut. Was very irritated when my movers noticed this situation. We were able to break it open, just a big inconvenience.

CHARLES RThis location is better than most with friendly and helpful staff. Most other locations I have worked with have grumpy staff that treat you as an inconvenience. Not the case here as the Kathryn location seems to care about the customer experience.
DANIEL RThe 7 pin trailer hitch was not operational. Once hooked up to my trailer the lights were not funtional. I had rented a truck from enterprise on january 2nd this year and the lights were functional. This was the second vehicle that I rented from UHaul where the 7 pin was not functional.

Samuel SWhen I received the truck, the gas gauge was on full but not completely full. I'm sure you are aware of this. When I go to put gas in the truck I end up putting more gas than I used, I end up refueling the truck with more gas that was given to me. This isn't fair and is a deceptive practice. I only traveled 14 miles but spent $25 on gas for moving boxes from one location to another. When in reality my cost of gas should've been no more than $10. This is an unfair way to treat customers.

Yanbin HFirst time with the mobile check out. Had trouble with the photo upload, because the U-Haul app kept saying photo must be uploaded even after I took multiple photos as instructed. That wasted 20 minutes. I was pleased with the return process. The staff was helpful and made sure I wasn't charged for extra time, after I explained to him the trouble I had with the U-Haul app during checkout. Overall not too bad of an experience and will come back if I need to rent again.
Jason LEmployees at this location do not seem very happy to be there. They are never friendly and welcoming. Perhaps you are understaffed or don't pay enough. They do the job but never a "hello" or "thank you." Not a big deal but just an observation.
DANIEL RI have been charged for GAS but I was not given a full tank of GAS and I had mentioned a non-full tank of GAS when I did initial sign in of the truck still I got charged for GAS and that refund needs to be issued to me. I'm available at 682-500-5982 and/or swapneel.dange@yahoo.com

THOMAS SThe driver side door doesn't fully close when driving. The app required too many changes and permissions to be done on my phone just to process. Other than that, customer service people were great, and it got the job done. Charging per mile is too much.

I was worried about being charged for them when I didn't open or use them myself - but that didn't happen so I'm very happy! The ladies at the checkout were very friendly and made the process super easy. I would definitely use this particular location in the future.

Not very professional in m opinion. I made the correct choice by booking a 10'x10' at Public Storage for $40/month, much better than U-Hauls 5'x10' at $114.95!

We went to clean out our storage this past weekend and there were two Dead Rats and RAT URNINE AND FECES, on and in everything. Our 30 year old paintings, our only Son’s photo albums, dozens of books, electronics, shoes, clothing’s and blankets all had to be thrown away. The smell was horrendous and we had to let it air out for a few minutes before even emptying the unit. U-Haul denied our claim and offered absolutely no compensation. Do Not keep your items here!

We were informed that the elevator had been out of order for over a week and the manager did not know when it would be fixed. We had to carry our entire unit down the stairs. This was a very dangerous task as we had large pieces of furniture and there were two flights of stairs. Uhaul put our health and safety at risk and did not offer anything more than an "I'm sorry." The staff was very friendly and kind but there was no help or solutions offered to us. We were very disappointed in Uhaul and will not be recommending it as a storage facility to anyone.
