The actual store was nice and had a bunch of moving stuff however my issue was the price. Then you guys try to charge me another 42.50 upon return of the vehicle even though I said 75 miles and I only drove it 72 miles. Why did a uhaul that was supposed to 29.95 for a day plus $0.99 a mile cost me 219. Absolutely disgusted and when I move again I won't be back this is the 5th time I've used uhaul and never one time was it this ridiculous.
crystal bGas was given at 1/4 tank, returned at 1/4 tank charged $9.5 for gas on 13 miles... I asked to see photo's of the before and after and was told it was not possible and they do not send pictures of it but that they have them? Highly recommend taking you own pictures before and after. They were not helpful, and the amount reported as "before" for tank was incorrect.

Reno JLack of communication all the way around. Most all employees seem to have limited or no knowledge of what their job should be. The online Uhaul text app was the only way to get any accurate information. The box was delivered to a different location in San Diego than originally stated. Thankfully the moving company I hired there in San Diego was able to locate the box and pick it up. Although we were not able to get the box on Sunday because the Uhaul location was not staffed with a forklift driver. That was discouraging. Overall, the box was as advertised and it did get from point A to point B. Tracking while in transit, especially when going across country, would be very useful to the customers.

ANTHONY OManager and people charged me extra even though I had already dropped this truck off the day after I picked it up. I had it reserved for Saturday June 6th - Sunday June 7th and dropped it off that Sunday around 1 PM. People on site told me they sent my receipt, and they never did. I called them June 10th to fix this and they charged me an additional $178 and said they will send my receipt again. Waiting for credit to fix this since I have photo evidence of it onsite on June 7th.
nathan mMy original reservation was at a nearby location, but they had no trucks. So we went to this location, which did a good job.
John EI needed a larger truck and called customer service. I spoke to a woman named Kye who said I could get one as long as I go there by 7pm. We had intended to load the new truck there and hit the road. The manager there said we didn’t have enough time and would have to come back tomorrow. I hope you can retrieve the recording of our conversation to verify what she told me because we got there at about 6:30pm, be for the 7pm time frame.

Peter ZEmployee was not knowledable about the early return question. There should be a credit for bringing the truck back 30+ hours early. It was likely rented to another customer so UHaul made more money on our rental. The amount charged was also more than I was quoted originally.
Ann CI've been with this location on and off for about 5 years, and feel that if you continue to maintain the good relationships you have with ongoing customers, as well as treating all customers as a valued part of your business then you will have no need to improve because the improvement will become part of your brand. People will talk about how good you all are, and invite others to stop by and experience that great customer service for themselves. Terrance GThis location always has friendly workers (and owners), the store is clean, as are the trucks. The whole process is very easy to get in an out. My favorite location in the area.
JEREMY SUHAUL has a policy that you refill the gas back to what you had when you picked up the vehicle. the truck i picked up had 20 miles to empty. This means i have to start looking for a gas station as soon as I left the uhaul location. There is no way of knowing how much gas the truck will burn (uhaul guy said it was a gas hog) so i am having to add gas before i even start loading. Unless i want to stop 2 or 3 times to add a couple of gallons each time this process will always be better for UHAUL not the customer. In the end because i had to guess and added too much gas UHAUL came out on the winning end of this deal. Uhaul ends up with almost a half a tank of gas which is a big deal since gas is expensive in the columbus ohio area. This is a terrible policy and only benefits Uhaul because they charge you crazy fees if you dont bring the truck back with the same amount of gas. I will consider using someone besides uhaul the next time even though all else was good. talked with 3 different people and nobody cared about this policy and how it affects the customer.
Randy MEnsure every worker adheres to a full inspection on properly securing all trailers to customer vehicles. Also a brief tutorial on how to properly detach trailers and re-attach in the event of an emergency.

Shelly JThis location’s service was not bad, but I only went here because my previous location decided to wait until I was already there to let me know that my reservation was not available because the person renting before me failed to return their truck. So overall my experience was not great since we had to drive out of our way after wasting an hour trying to figure out what happened to our previous rental, which is not something anyone wants to handle on an already stress inducing day.

JOSE CManagement team was rude and could not walk me through my bill when I had a question on it. They said that’s what you owe but didn’t know where the money was coming from.
Evan CThe young man who checked us in was nice enough but instead of walking us to our rental unit, he broadly gestured that it was "over that way." We went to the wrong section and called to ask for directions. Again, instead of coming out and walking us to the unit, he remained inside the store, and gave us directions on the phone. It was a very odd miss on customer service. He wasn't alone in the store. There were several other people working so there's no reason why he couldn't simply come outside and walk us to our unit. Other than wandering around trying to find our way, everything went fine.
Tamara LThe only thing I could see was that the cabin space is not good for people 6'2" and over. I could barely get my legs under the steering wheel, which you cant adjust. Hard to roll window up because of lack of space on the side. Need electrical windows and adjustable steering wheel. The services was great and the vehicle was clean in the front and back.
Kevin RWindshield was cracked, front left tire required 50lbs of air 10 minutes in to trip. It was raining so no one walked me out to truck to go through any pre-trip check, had to load my supplies my self in the rain. Staff was polite just not helpful
Barbara CMy original location where reservation was made did not have my rental therefore sending me and my reservation to this location. Customer service was appalling. No sense of respect or urgency given previous issue. Rep would not look at my phone which clearly displayed reservation number. I had to verbally give her # multiple times because she could not get it correct. Then when i as asked for a credit card. Which i had already provided when reservation was made i shared i had already provided all that in my pre check in and asked why it was needed again. Representative then remarked, out loud, and directly at me"we always have one of those people on Sunday s." I directly stayed "excuse me " to her replies of continued disparaging remarks directly to me. Upon return of rental rep Was again rude and would not even look at me. I intend to follow up with area manager to report this and i never rent from this location again

We were told that the system would be updated to reflect the new unit number. It never was. Months later When I tried to retrieve my things, another lock was on the unit, my items were gone, and the unit was rented out to another customer. We were paying every month on a unit that did not belong to us, and our items were gone. After debating with them for several days and verifying their mistake and our loss and inconvenience, I was told "I don't know what happened, I don't know what to tell you. Contact claims." Not a good experience and it seemed that this happens often. I do not recommend this facility.

The staff never told me he gave me the unit as if it was what I requested and then when I noticed he then said that he sold the other unit. I then rode around looking for my unit for twenty minutes to find out it was a old uhaul truck. I wish they would’ve contacted me before I arrived I would’ve made reservations at another location and my free month didn’t get honored. Just a bad experience this go round. Do better with communication

Reasonable rates compared to another facility I was using, and had the same size unit, indoor, but paying about $32 more. I was just pleased knowing my things were protected and available to me. Willette H | Overall ExperienceI reserved a storage unit back in September 2024 because I knew I was moving in Jan. 2025 and would need 2 months of storage for my items. When I showed up to check in and receive my unit I was given a 5x10x10 climate controlled unit, like I reserved. However, after locating the unit I was given, there was still a lock on the unit (#857). I went back to the office and they said that meant someones stuff was still inside, and I was able to reserve it because it was marked as "moved out" in their system. I was then told they did not have any more 5x10x10 units available and after the employee called the GM, he said on the phone that a reservation does not guarantee a unit - then what is the point of making a reservation?? He also said he is unable to provide a 10x10 unit for the price of a 5x10, even though I specifically reserved a 5x10 and did not need the larger size or want to pay for it. He did offer the first month rent free (the phone was on speaker) but the lady helping me still ended up charging me. She was then quite rude when I asked why she charged me, since I heard the first month should be free, and told me "not to worry about it". The most upsetting part is they no longer had any climate controlled units and some of my items required that, so I was unable to store all of my items. Overall I was very disappointed in the disorganization on their end that caused this problem, and the lack of basic manners when trying to resolve it. I would definitely not recommend this location to anyone in need of storage, I'm sure you can find a more organized facility with better customer service elsewhere.

When I first rented the storage unit I rented a 10x10 but had to change to a 5x5 because that was the one I had to get for the free month storage offer. Well that size was two small for my queen size bed so I had to get the 10x10 which ended up costing me more money, that I was aware of when I first rented the unit but not upon arrival to Ohio. I guess all ended well with me getting the larger unit, it just was an inconvenience of having to come up with more money when I was already waiting on a refund from U-Haul for the first tracker rental. Long story short, it wasn't the fault of U-Haul in Ohio, they were great, the problem was with the online booking. Very stressful.

Asked me if I could come back about 12 noon, informed him that 1 o'clock would be all right if pressed for time. On 7/7/2024 returned to find out unit was not clean. Had a large old oak dresser, a huge granite, slate, a large bucket of semi gloss, wall, paint, and broken glass plus trash left behind. Seen a sales clerk(Noel) I asked him could he provide mop bucket and dust pan so I could immediately start cleaning up. He stated, " he be right over after he finished with his client. Son, returning with the needed cleaning products, he'll began assisting. I had already removed the drawer, wall paint, and trash but couldn't remove granite being extremely too heavy. Mister Noel eventually assist in the removal. Staying there until I finish cleaning the unit, I think him for his great assistance. He is a great asset to your company, another African, American young lady tried to assist. Truly I wouldn't come back if it wasn't for having a previous storage and Noel. Sincerely Mr. Derek M. I was having some issues with accessing the building, so I had to keep bothering her (my words, not hers) and each time she explained in clear details what to do, and this was much appreciated because at this point I was going to leave and come back another day! About a month ago they emailed me saying they couldn't get in touch with me and that my things were auctioned off. However if they couldn't get in touch with me how did I receive the email. Also, the close date for my unit is the 1st of this month which still means that I could have set up a payment plan. Of now they're telling me I just have to pay and I don't think I should have to pay considering they lied saying they couldn't get in touch with me. I am TROUGHHLLY dissatisfied as disappointed wit my experience. I WLL NOT be recommending U-HAUL.

We rented three trucks and one cargo van this August 2021 as we moved two children to college and relocated ourselves to a different city. ALL the rentals went smoothly from check in to check out. Recommend 100%. Our storage unit in Columbus on E. 5th street was very clean, easily accessible, prepared with a lock and key. We did a self check-in and easily proceeded to store our extra household and seasonal items. Had two flatbeds for people to use. Great help!! Thank you! :-)

Given another unit and 1 free month’s rent for the inconvenience, but kept getting charged for the free month as well as messages about being late to pay and threatening lock out for nonpayment. Had to keep going in person to clear up the issue, only to have it happen again each subsequent month.

That was subsequently changed and I returned the truck to a different location. While the storage unit location worked out the rest of the online Uhaul process was awful. Richard W | Overall ExperienceThe only issue I had was with the billing account system. The way it displays your payments/balance is not user-friendly. When looking at the balance column, it shows dollar balances in parenthesis. In any other system, that would mean that there is a credit on your account, but not theirs. That was a bit inconvenient because I had to take the time to try and figure it out and then email my question to the location's GM, Erin. She got back to me VERY quickly and provided a detailed explanation. I was very happy with everything about this facility and its employees though.

It took 50 minutes for me to get the truck and storage unit. The staff needs to be thoroughly crossed train... The the unit door would not slide back to open, so I called an employee to help me to get the door open, and by the time he got back to the unit, I had managed to get it open and unload my car... So not good!
