The car hauler I received looked great at first but the drivers rear tire kept losing air. When I checked it that night it was at 18lbs. Pumped it up to 55lbs and that morning checked it again at it leaked down to 38lbs. So for the 2 days I had the trailer had to keep putting in air. Morale to the story check your equipment before renting or ask for some kind of rental credit because they rent subpar equipment.
THOMAS RYou split the 2 pieces I needed the 10 foot truck and the car transport, you made no effort to get them to the same location 8 minutes apart, I made the reservation a week in advance and on the day I need to leave on my trip you have 3 car transports but tell me they are all reserved and that I am basically, SoL. So I have to get a refund on the truck and who knows how long that will take, and when I decided to rent a small trailer it was defective and I had to go thru a hard time trying to get your young sales person to swap the trailer, Finally your more experienced older employee called me over and had seen the hard time I was having with the young salesperson and had a trailer ready for me that pulled perfectly. So to say I am not happy would be an understatement.

brenda b | First ImpressionsWe told the gentleman that the drop-off location was too far away, and he still put us there. When I tried to call to have it changed because we had a blizzard coming in and the location was almost an hour away, I was redirected, put on hold, and then hung up on.

There was another gentleman there who went above and beyond to provide great service. The two young ladies hooked up my trailer for a trip from Spartanburg to LasVegas. I ended up treating them to breakfast. Two beautiful young ladies who made my experience as easy as possible. That was a huge trip for me. A fresh start. CHRISTOPHER EGreat experience to get a trailer. I had to move a golf cart and reserved a trailer. Luckily the trailer I reserved was not available and I received a larger trailer. Thank goodness this happened as I don’t think the original trailer would be big enough.
EARL MLot’s of confusion with our contract which led to delays. Had to give personal info and route details several times. We were given a discount because of this but really messed up our schedule. PU location was full and needs signs to direct people. Seemed a bit of a cluster. Truck was fine.
RON MI returned the equipment and had them help me drop it off. Days later they called me accusing me of stealing it since they had lost it and couldn’t find it. This is the second time this has happened to me at this location.
Brenda RThis location was great even though there were issues getting my boxes delivered. The members at this location were extremely helpful in trying to help me troubleshoot a way to get the content of my boxes delivered when Truck Delivery was being denied even though everyone said it would be okay. Even stated that the situation was not normal. Minus a star due to some logistics issues with having my boxes prepared to unload, but all interactions and help and loading/unloading went well. (Tammy and Chuck were of great assistance). Very nice location also. For future, having more information on details about what is in range/out of range for the Truck Delivery / Hired help would be helpful as this confused every person involved in my delivery process it seemed.

THOMAS NOnly one person there to wait on customers, overpriced. Told one price $95 when I questioned it, then was given another $79 and upon return I was charged $109. Sucks

The equipment was inspected cleaned and put out for the next rental in the time the check in was processed promptly, even before the customer exited! Spartanburg knows how to operate superbly.

JOHN RStaff on location at 1500 International Dr, Spartanburg are excellent. Ashley, Charles, Brian are all knowledgeable, friendly, and understanding. U-Haul's transortation company was unable to load and delivery the U-boxes. Ashley worked out a deal for us to load the u-boxes on a truck ourselves, and I drove it to meet our movers at the house for unloading. The storm affected us all... Ashley's agility and problem solving skills set this location apart. Very much appreciated. (Ashley was also on sight Saturday after the storm, using her phone as a hotspot to help customer, even though power to the building was out) - Top notch hire by U-haul
HENRY RThe “Poor/Poor/EXCELLENT Review”: We had to find a truck in the middle of recovery from Hurricane Helene. I went online and reserved a 15 ft and received a message that someone from “Scheduling” would call. Call never came. (Poor) I decided to go to the location I selected and get the truck. (I knew that was a risk, but I needed to talk to someone since no one from “Scheduling” called.) When we arrived the person assisting me could not find my reservation. They then “checked one other thing,” and found it at a different location and showed me the screen of their phone as proof. I clearly saw my name and the location where I needed to go. Upon arriving at the 2nd location, I was greeted and assisted by a staffer who could not find my reservation. I shared that the other attendant had found it and showed it to me, yet she seemed to have maxed out her capacity and insisted that my only option was to make ANOTHER reservation. (Poor) Upon completing the second reservation, another attendant assisted us in processing our truck reservation. This is the EXCELLENT part of the review. Unfortunately, I can’t remember her name, but I did learn that she is the GM for this location. What makes this “EXCELLENT” is she owned a small problem. I get to teach companies how to build heathy cultures. One aspect is not every problem is yours, but any solution can be. We had a problem and she fixed it like it was hers. The truck we needed was on ‘E’ for fuel. The hurricane recovery had shut down most gas stations and the ones that were open had long lines and were running out. She said, “I don’t want to send you out of here with that truck. I’m going to upgrade you at the same price because this truck has 3/8 of a tank to get you where you need to go.” I was impressed at how she had the latitude to make that decision. Now, being the GM makes that a little easier, but none the less, for this customer, it made a lasting impression.

JASON CCustomer service was awful when picking up the trailer. The woman behind the counter was distracted by everything while trying to help me and the whole process took three times as long as it should have.
CHRISTOPHER OI ended up at this location because the location I had a reservation at went on vacation and left me high and dry. I will not reserve anything from U-Haul dealer again. It is bad when you drive 800 miles and the place you had reserved at decided to close for vacation. Thank God for the personnel at Northwest Spartanburg, they were terrific.

Then they arranged to give me two smaller ones directly opposite each other, but one of them still had items in it even though it was unlocked. So ended up with one unit on the first floor and one unit on the 2nd floor. - Not convenient and made the unload time much longer and will make the move out time longer when the time to move into a house arrives.

Nanette W | First ImpressionsMy storage unit got broken into. Spartanburg police department notified me instead of the storage facility. I was NEVER compensated by uhaul. Outside debris, Cobb webs, looks of rat droppings was inside my unit when I moved out. I took pictures to show how un-maintained it was. Supposedly, there is an alert when your door open and closes, I never received an alert. Unless you want your stuff broken into, then use this facility. I tried renting a pickup truck or cargo van, and the guy Corbin/Corbin (?) was no help. No good customer service. He told me the nearest place that MIGHT have something was in Greer! I rented a uhaul cargo van from the facility in Boiling Springs the second I walked out of the door from talking to him! How do you not physically call or check in the system to see this information instead of giving a customer, “sorry you’re outta luck and there’s nothing more I can do for you”??? Smh. Overall, my experience with this uhaul facility has never been a good one. The people aren’t very friendly, & they don’t try to do no more than what they’re doing. I understand customer service is stressful, but please hire people with better personalities and people that’s just looking for a check.
