I was not told that a hold would be on my card and then more would have to come off when i paid for the U-Haul. The return directions were not clearly explained by the person at the U-Haul locationJULLIAN A.

Just an idea for the CEO over all, is why not put in a gas pump at each uhaul company, to make it more convenient for the clients. I had to go off the beaten path to do this. Just a thought. This facility is awesome. Hawk and Oliver were very very kind!!!DANA K.

I was told by one of the associate that we could extend the container and at time to check out we was charge for it. Know we has been doing business with you and never had this to happen. I feel like we was not treat like a customer, The charger was $200.00 for a two month charge of 69.00 a mo. we feel like the church was not treat fair.Josephine M.

I think the person at the counter could walk you to your truck bc there were a million trucks and ours was not exactly where he said it was. Also tell the customer how to locate the truck number that's on the key. But I mean once you have rented, you would know this. I have never rented before though. So I'm sure they assume everyone has rented a truck before :)LISA Q.

When I arrived at the drop off in Spartanburg, SC the General Manager (Hawk Hawkins according to his name tag) told me that he was going to check me in on time, because he could tell when I pulled up that the truck's catalytic converter was missing, likely stolen. I asked him if I needed to come inside, he said no. I thanked him, as I was only about 45 minutes late even under the difficult circumstances of the broken truck. However, a few hours later, I received an email with a receipt indicating that several hours after I left the location, they ran my card for an additional day. In addition, a Uhaul location in a different city in South Carolina, nowhere near me ALSO charged me for an additional day. I'm having to work with my bank to get these charges refunded. I will never use Uhaul again!Gina D.

I was charged for gas and I put the tank back at where it was when I picked up and I was charged 15 dollars for fuel and 30 for service. I took a picture of the fuel gauge when I dropped it off cause I had a funny feeling about this location when the guy that checked me out made a point to say something about the fuel. Also I dropped it off at 8:57pm and the location said I brung it back at 2:00pm the next day. Will never use this location again and side note the owner checked me out atleast the name tag said ownerCarson S.

I am not a fan of the Uhaul truck share 24/7 program which allowed Uhaul to move my reservation to a different pick up location than what I reserved 24 hours before my pick up time. This policy allows them to move the pick up to the next closest location from what I reserved. I would recommend choosing larger pick up locations from the beginning so you don't have to make changes to your plans 24 hours before your move. The change just adds unnecessary stress!CATHRINE Z.

UHAUL customer service is way below standards. No one answers the phone, there's no place online to handle my issue. This is in no way a reflection on Steve August or his staff. They just don't have enough people. They iare expected to be in the office handling walk-ins and answering the phone, but they also need to show new customers their units and go over the rules and regulations etc. Problem is there is only one person scheduled to handle all of that. UHAUL needs to hire more staff to take care of customers needs in a timely effecient manner. A error was made by the facility which caused me to not have access to my unit once. I attempted to resolve the situation politely by explaining my encounter with the company to the manager . The manager responded by being very unprofessional and rude during our call while knowing they were at fault for the situation. The staff was courteous. The facility had continuous issues with unlit alarms and access after office hours. The final straw was the night of Nov. 7th I had professional movers come to finish packing for our move to Utah and was unsuccessful gaining access to the building. The movers had to go, so I was forced to finish my move with a rental trailer cost and an additional months rent on my storage unit because it renewed on the 9th. The person who was in charge, Steve, acknowledged the problem with access to the building and apologized for the inconvenience but UHaul corporate does not assist with discounts..JESSE G. | Overall Experience

Only one thing stands out that needs a fix. The staff is great but you are understaffed. There should be a minimum of 2 people there ALL the time. It is not right to expect ONE person to do this job, can not be done. Steve August is the best. Like most places today they understaff their business. The location was convenient, and easily accessible. I got locked out of the unit with no real notice. Management would not return emails requesting help. The storage unit leaked water on my belongings, ruining a few pieces of furniture, and there was no attempt to make it right. I get opting out of the insurance, but not even an apology or attempt to fix the unit. It was as if I should have known that was a risk of renting a storage unit.
