I had a reservation at the Whitney Ave (Spartanburg, SC) location but the trailer had a six inch dry rot crack in the tread of one tire that I found when hooking up the trailer. They then transferred my reservation to this location. The trailer here had a large framing nail in the tire that I found as we were hooking up the trailer. I asked for a replacement tire and they agreed to that and quickly made a tire change. Both locations originally said the tires were holding pressure and were ok to go. That is the wrong answer when doing a 500 mile round trip. Please step up your safety standards. You used to be the best.Philip R.

Reserved trailer online, when I arrived at the facility to pick it up had to wait an hour to get trailer. Not sure if the issue training, lack of understanding, or just old equipment. Why do I need to put all the information to reserve the equipment? If Ot needs to be re-entered when I pick up the equipment?Don R.

Our experience ended well. But it was extremely frustrating when we got word that told us our boxes would not be delivered on the day that we had arranged a month before. We were supposed to get them delivered to us on Saturday and on the Thursday before that we got a text from someone from U-Haul saying they would not be delivered until Tuesday. We had already made arrangements, people had taken the time off and rearranged schedules to help us, so it became extremely frustrating that we could not get them on Saturday. As it turned out, we had to get a truck from U-Haul, empty our boxes ourselves, and unload them at our house. It was an extra, exhausting, and time consuming effort that we had to make in order to fit our pre-planed time frame. Daniel helped us with the arrangements but it was still very frustrating that we had to do the extra step and the extra work to get our boxes.Joe T.

Not happy that we had to drive the truck an extra 14 miles from the original location from which we had requested a truck which the website indicated had a truck available when making the reservation. The young man who assisted with picking up the equipment was awesome, wonderful personality, and a great pleasure with whom to deal. I was not told that a hold would be on my card and then more would have to come off when i paid for the U-Haul. The return directions were not clearly explained by the person at the U-Haul locationJULLIAN A.

Just an idea for the CEO over all, is why not put in a gas pump at each uhaul company, to make it more convenient for the clients. I had to go off the beaten path to do this. Just a thought. This facility is awesome. Hawk and Oliver were very very kind!!!DANA K.

I was told by one of the associate that we could extend the container and at time to check out we was charge for it. Know we has been doing business with you and never had this to happen. I got a smaller storage unit thinking that I could fit everything in it but when I realized I couldn’t, they got me switched over to a larger unit hassle free! UHAUL customer service is way below standards. No one answers the phone, there's no place online to handle my issue. This is in no way a reflection on Steve August or his staff. They just don't have enough people. They iare expected to be in the office handling walk-ins and answering the phone, but they also need to show new customers their units and go over the rules and regulations etc. Problem is there is only one person scheduled to handle all of that. UHAUL needs to hire more staff to take care of customers needs in a timely effecient manner. A error was made by the facility which caused me to not have access to my unit once. I attempted to resolve the situation politely by explaining my encounter with the company to the manager . The manager responded by being very unprofessional and rude during our call while knowing they were at fault for the situation. The staff was courteous. The facility had continuous issues with unlit alarms and access after office hours. The final straw was the night of Nov. 7th I had professional movers come to finish packing for our move to Utah and was unsuccessful gaining access to the building. The movers had to go, so I was forced to finish my move with a rental trailer cost and an additional months rent on my storage unit because it renewed on the 9th. The person who was in charge, Steve, acknowledged the problem with access to the building and apologized for the inconvenience but UHaul corporate does not assist with discounts..JESSE G. | Overall Experience
