Checked in online becuse i was on a schedule. .Went in and bhad to recheck in at the counter . Younger girl working not very professional and barely acted like she wanted to be there. She got my trailer hooked up and I'm glad I got out to recheck the hook up ... there was glass all over the trailer floor and a couple pieces of trash. She was going to let me take it like this. I told her I had a small tractor with wheels and could not use it. She did tell me to pull it up and blew it out ... but already knew I was on a tight schedule and no apologies ... and she wasn't thrilled.about having to do it Miss the gentlemen that worked at this location. They were always very friendly no matter time of day, always went above and beyond to make everything right, and very helpful each and every time we visited this location. I was told by the other woman "we are still trying to wake up". Unless desperate, we won't be back to this location.Terri M.

The old manager, Hawk was awesome. He had some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Knew every customer by name and took a real interest them. The knew manager, do not know her name, is rude and unsocialable. Could not even be bothered to leave her office when I had an issue. Amazing personal and Very sparkly clean. Friendly workers ready to assist you any time during business hours. Ricki Is amazing and quick on helping with needs. I recommend to get storage. Better to get storage where is protected and clean. Then resolving issues somewhere else and losing your stuff. Also carts are always available and very easy assess to your storage unit. Fresh smell doesn't stink like some other companies storage I been through. I had a lot of bad experiences. Hand trucks would not work because someone had cut the strap...and the lady in office told me my refrigerator would fit in the trailer I rented and it would not....lost a day moving because I had to wait till the next day to go back and rent a truck instead of trailer and hod to go to another location just to get hand trucks...I have never had so much trouble ever renting from Uhaul before....very disappointed 😞Michael G.

They had two people working the whole place. I walked in and couldn't find anyone for 10 mins. So I went walking around outside and finally found 2 people to help. They then were arguing who would service me. Then when someone helped they gave me the keys to the wrong truck, which I found out bc the mileage differed. Threw off my schedule and then I got charged $99 for a full day because I went past my time. Just ridiculous all around and wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.Joe C.

I made a reservation for the pick up truck yesterday and was told to be there at 8:30 am......we got there right at 8:30 and was told the truck went out the night before and was suppose to be back at 7:30 am. He was pretty rude about the whole situation. When he tried to call the customers mother about the truck.....right infront of us on speaker....it went straight to voice-mail....I think he knew her because he had her contact info for her mother on speed-dial. The whole situation was strange and uncomfortable. I will think twice before booking a u-haul again.....even for intown usage.....which thats was what it was for. I'll probably go through the hassle from home depot before going back to u-haul again.Jennifer L.

Have dealt with U-Haul storage facilities in Spartanburg and Charleston, SC. At both locations, used storage and vehicle rentals. EVERYTHING was in good shape, clean, and secure. No issues at all. Hope I am NEVER moving again - but, if I do, I WILL use U-Haul.Andy M. | Overall Experience

Didn’t get 24hr access and wasted time and money. The GM Ricky told me I would have 24 hour access so when I came back after 10 PM with two trucks full of stuff I could not get in. I tried to call the emergency number I left several messages and she never called me back. I dropped off a truck and left 2200$ in an bank envelope inside the truck. Came back to uhaul after 37 minutes to let the attending employee in the office know I had left an envelope containing cash for my company. I was told he never seen anything after reparking and going through the vehicle. I went outside and checked the truck that I had used, just to have another employee try and assist me in finding the envelope. Needless to say the envelope was never recovered, and the last place it was seem was still in the flip down center console.Joey A.

The truck I was given was on its last legs. The transmission was lagging and the back door was rusty and really hard to open and close. The worst thing, however, was the customer service. I attempted to check the truck in via the U-Haul app several times, but it kept crashing. It was late and I didn't want to spend too much time returning the truck in the dark, so I placed the key in an envelope and wrote that I was unable to return the truck via the app on the outside. I also took a picture of the whole thing so nobody could say I didn't do it. Aaa Well, I was STILL charged the (ridiculous) after hours return fee. It's bad enough the app is a mess, but to penalize me because of it is outrageous. I rent a lot of trucks and trailers, and I spend a good bit at U-Haul. I prefer to go to Whitney Rd, at that location. It's pretty basic and grimy, but their trucks always run well and they don't waste my money on petty fees. From now on, I'll be sure to rent from there. I came to this location because they supposedly had the truck I wanted to rent. They didn't have the truck available, so I spent more money on a bigger truck, and definitely lived to regret that decision. I've never had a bad experience at Whitney Road.KRYSTAL K.
Inspect the mechanical condition of the truck better in between rentals. My truck pulled to one side (front end out of alignment?) and a headlight was out. It would be good to ask the renter "did the equipment function okay; anything to report; any issues?". I forgot to report the above items when I returned the truck. The day I moved in I was very tired. Long day driving the day before. I was feeling kind of cranky. If it wasn't for the two gentlemen working that day, my day would have been a whole lot worse!! The workers were nice but did not seem to know how to do the rental agreement, paid for one way rental with drop off in Other location. But they put on form back to their location, i was charged extra fee for wrong drop off location but was able to get it corrected, they were having difficulties that day i guess. Hand truck that was left on the truck had to broken welds and had sharp metal, I cut my thump open when I removed it from the truck. I brought truck back and explained the problem to the mgr. and went to show him, he said â€œ oh, I know which one that isâ€. I asked if you knew it was broken why did you leave it on the truck? One of our units had water damage. All of our contents were destroyed with mold, mildew and odor, approximately $20 000.00 cost of 8 price dining room set, 2 living room sets, , 3 sectional wall unit, bookcase, 2 bedroom sets queen and twin including dressers, nightstand and mattresses, leather briefcases, several baseball caps, important documents, garden bench,?plant starts, antique sewing machine, 4i0 inch smart TV, clothing items etc almost everything that we owned is unusable. We filed a claim in March 2022 , it is almost August 2022 it still has not been finalized. There has been a lack of communication with the insurance company.
