Always make sure the trucks are being return with 1/4 of tank. Because I'm being charged when I had a credit of 67 dollars for gas because the trunk was on 5 miles. I pumped that and I used it. And they told me that if I left it 1/4 of tank that I was going to be charged 8 dollars and the thing is the 67 dollars only pumped to 1/4 of tank. And I returned it less than a 1/4 but not to the point that it didn't have any gas. and now I'm being charged 108 dollars when it wasn't my fault the dam trunk didn't have gas whatsoeverHeidi C.

Was offered mobile pick up but when I got there for my mobile pick up before store hours I was never provided the information I needed. When I asked during store hours why this was I was told this location didn't do that process. Not mad at the woman who told me this. The AC only functioned while the truck was in motion. Neither of the two 12-volt adapters worked so I could not charge my phone while trying to use gps or connect my phone to a bluetooth hands-free device since our state has laws against holding phones.Grant C.

I have nothing against the staff at the location, and Blake Cantrell, the general manager, went out of his way to make the situation right, but I will neither use nor recommend U-Haul to any person ever. Between the constant appointment shuffling and difficulty in finding solutions to fairly common problems, U-Haul as a company has a lot to fix before I consider spending any of my money at any location again.Francis S.

When I first arrived I was informed that there were no trucks available, despite my reservation. I was told the closest location that had the truck I requested was 20 miles away. The girl you have working there is the most hateful employee. The lady of color was nice. When I come in and this was the SECOND time this young lady has treated me like I was beneath her. I am 60 years old and I don't need this ageism shit. If I have rented blankets, LOOK at the receipt and go down it to make sure I have all items if you cannot put it in the truck ahead of time. In case you're wondering, I also write compliments on Yelp, Nextdoor, etc. I get that you don't want to put blankets in the truck ahead of time because I â€œmight not pick up the vanâ€, but check my order. I'm going to do my best to NEVER use this particular uhaul again. I know some business owners nearby and I'm telling them as well. Please train your employees to check the order and their attitude. The vehicle I rented is dangerous and should not be on the road. The steering wheel has at least 6" of play in the in either direction. The vehicle will drift from lane to lane and is difficult to drive. I attempted to return the vehicle within 24 hours. The office was closed (after hours) however. The U-Haul app was not working, so I called to speak with a customer service rep for assistance. There was at least 45 minutes wait time. Terrible app and unbelievable 45 minute wait time to speak with a customer service rep. I kept the vehicle until the next day. Because of the app and CSR experience I incurred 20 additional miles.Mike F.

I called a satellite location to reserve the rental and was not informed I would need to p/u in Oakwood. Upon arrival in Oakwood facility, I waited in line for one employee to check in six other rentals. This took 1 1/2 hours. Which seem to delay everyone in lines day. The employee gave no indication to caring for the delay. She seemed to go on her 15 minute break in the middle of the process. Also, stopping to drink her Sprite with no delay to her time. The truck was still dirty, previous renters empty coke bottles in the cab. I had to get one of your brooms in the service area to sweep the box of the truck which seemed to have concrete mix inside. No other employee was seen in the 2 hours it took to intake and leave with my rental. When you lecture the rental to return the rental clean, then you should send it out clean. A total mess of unprofessional, not making me want to rent UHaul again.Chris K.

You had 12 9 am rentals with only 1 person working. I had a reservation and checked in online, and had to wait in line for 55 minutes until I was able to get my truck. She did ask if anyone checked in online but when I told her I did she couldn't find any record of it. Once I got the truck it was dirty and the dash was sticky. I then had to get gas because it was on 1/8 Of a tank. The truck ran fine and everything went ok. I was just was over an hour and half late to my destination.Amy D.

It was a lot of brown dirt and dust on the dashboard the truck ran great it was a really nice truck but you could tell it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. But it didn't affect my experience. It was a quick and easy painless rental got done what I needed to get done and they got me out of there really fast when I was finished. âââââ for sure!james M.
Requested a 17' box truck. When I arrived, the truck that was prepared has a box storage area was only 14' in length. The manager was very busy (as labor supply issues are difficult right now), and had to wait close to 30 minutes to retrieve the truck. When I questioned about the size difference, manager simply read the dimensions of a 17' truck from the computer terminal, instead of actually inspecting the vehicle that had been prepared. Not to delay my way any longer I simply took the 14' box truck. I am not sure if a â€œ17' truckâ€ actually means the box is 17' in length or not, but it felt a bit misleading. Either I got the wrong size truck, or was charged for a larger truck. It is what it is.Jared K.

PRICING DECEPTION AND POOR MAINTENANCE MONITORING. I reserved a cargo van for an extended mileage furniture move at $79/day including 100 miles and $0.29/mi. thereafter. The only cargo van available when I arrived had a bad tire, which had not been noticed by the store. Because they could not fix it on the spot, I was offered a box truck for the same price as the cargo van. The first box truck offered did not have functioning A/C vents, also not noticed by the store until I pointed them out. Finally, the second box truck turned out to be fully functional. The process of finally getting a properly functioning vehicle took over an hour, putting me well behind schedule and into the heart of Atlanta rush hour on both ends of my trip. Then, despite being assured by the person who reserved and rented me the truck that I would AUTOMATICALLY be charged the $79/day, $0.29/mile rate after returning the vehicle - regardless of the standard local trip pricing printed on the order sheet (also confirmed by U-Haul customer service) - this store charged me $230 in excess of the agreed-upon rate, which I learned only the next day because they were closed by the time I returned the vehicle (but well within my rental time limit) due to my delayed start. The store's manager has failed to correct the pricing despite a phone call and two separate emails over the five days since my rental. This is unethical and unacceptable.Clyde M.

Owners are not polite or nice to work with. They called me pressing me to return saying they had to have to unit back for somebody else the next day. I told them I would hurry up and try to get back as early as possible (even though they didn't need the unit back that afternoon). Even though I got the unit back a few hours before they closed, they charged me an entire extra day. They wouldn't take into consideration the fact that I had to wait in line a long time when I went there to pick up. Owners at other U-Haul locations are much more friendly to work with. The owners even argued in front of customers about personal issues with other family members. I won't go back to this location.Charlie M.

Had reservations for 5/30. Never contacted me. When we arrived we were told they didn't have a truck. They told us to come back at 7am on 5/31. Truck had less then 3/4 of tank gas when I brought it back it was 3/4 full and now they are charging me a surcharge for gas? No way! Never will I rent from them again.Patricia B.

I am an active duty Soldier that constantly rent equipment for moving, they didn't want to rent a car dolly because my license from Florida is expired, I show them my military extension card, also went into the Florida Drivers license website and show them my license is not expired, they just constantly give me extension until 90 days after I leave active duty status, no one in that office was able to wave the system, so I could rent the equipment, I had to use my daughter license, what an inconvenience and a lost of time when I just rented a 26ft truck back in February for my PCS move and had no issues. The facility itself and the location are good, however the management at this location has some issues. I believe his name was Blake, and he has a few new associate working with him from the looks of it, and they were needing some assistance in taking care of my storage need. The associate helping me was having computer difficulties, and he was extremely short with her, attempting to brush her off several times, diminish her in front of me and my family, and belittle her. This in my opinion is not acceptable, and he needs training on how to handle leadership in the workplace. To the credit of the young lady helping me, she was able to set me up with a storage unit, and even was kind enough to bring us a few carts to move thing in. Over all, and while I don't think I will need the unit very long, I wouldn't recommend this site for storage or rentals until the some retraining has taken place.MARGARET K. | First Impressions

There were so many rental trucks and trailers in the parking area near our unit that it was sometimes difficult to maneuver our own truck to get near the building entrance. There was a water leak in our unit which damaged some of our books. The damage was not enough to file a claim or open a dispute, but we still experienced a loss. The staff aren’t particularly friendly. I have been with your facility for more than two years and though it’s convenient and clean, I find that any questions or concerns I have with the facility, billing etc., I’m met with no answer or made to be felt an inconvenienced. I have been a business owner for ten years and am convinced that our success is due specifically to our customer service, not just the excellent product we provide. Not everyone there is this way however, most are. I contribute this to the contagion of one bad apple. In my experience with my employees, an employee with a poor attitude is typically spreads and can become adopted as “the way we treat customers”. Just my thoughts. The doors were just propped open & my card didn't work to disarm my unit: when I called the front desk they just said "yeah it does that. I reserved unit 2009, but when I went to the unit to move stuff in it had been taken. I called the girl working on the internal and she came up to the building to see right away. She wasn't sure if the prior person had moved everything out and there was a lock still on it. So she instantly put me in one that was empty across from 2009.
