The cab was not cleaned at all from the cigarette smoke or the ashes on the dash in front of the steering wheel. The smell was so strong that I had to spend two hours deep cleaning the cab so that it was tolerable and safer to drive. I have asthma and smoke makes me sleepy! It also causes cancer. So, I suggest that your employees actually do the clean-up that they say they do. I will choose another company the next time. The manager also contradicted himself in his statements and would not even offer a discount. There was no other truck to offer.Sherri D.

I have the same problem every time I rent a trailer, the connection for the rear lights is always shotty. The prongs are always chewed up and need to be wiggled and checked on every time I go or leave places. Also the tread on the tire stripped off while going down the highway and we were so lucky we didn't shatter access the highway or get injured or injure someone else.Will D.

The access panels didn't work to unlock the doors or disarm the units. The doors were just propped open & my card didn't work to disarm my unit: when I called the front desk they just said "yeah it does that. Just leave the door to your unit open & the alarm will stop"... What?! There was a lot of miscommunication with all the facilities. Even though the employees were kind. there were TO MANY people I had to talk to and be transferred, to have answers. had to wait around when I showed up to get the rental then when I returned it I was told to park it over there and I'll get to it as soon as I can, I had just spent $22.05 refueling the van and it was showing over full then the final receipt came and it said the fuel gauge was at 7/8 and I was charged an extra $12 plus dollars for 3 gallons of gas, if a 9 foot cargo van uses over 3 gallons of gas in about 2 miles from the gas station to the return lane then Uhaul needs to tune up their motorsFrank S.

Be more customer service oriented. Reservation was placed at the U-Haul on Mundy Mill Rd/McEver Road over a month before scheduled pickup and called the evening before scheduled pickup and no 15ft truck was available and the U-Haul location on McEver was called and they were expecting to have a 20 ft truck come in by 5pm to fill my reservation at no extra charge. The air did not work ,blinkers did not work, when you put the lights on the blinkers stayed on. Customer service was horrible when return the uhaul the sign said stay here a representative will be with you he never came out to assist and when walked in store he was almost asleep and told Gina bout the problems of the truck and acted like he did not care.JESSICA P.

Our vehicle was not available at the location we reserved it. We received the call that our truck would not be available at the reserved location while we were sitting in the lot waiting for the location to open. We were redirected to the McEver location. The truck we received had the safety belt cover missing, wires dangling under the dashboard and a check engine light on. When we reported this to the guy on hand he said, yeh, I know. It's okay. We had to take our chances, not having the truck available and going through this location switch, put us an hour behind on our schedule. The man power we hired through UHaul showed up on time at the storage facility where we were retrieving our furniture, so we lost out on one hour of the time we paid for and they had a next appointment to get to, so we ended up having to unload the last load ourselves. A fully packed 26' truck, which was what we paid for help, to avoid. We were very unhappy with this experience. The man power was excellent. This was the second move we used the same guys because they are good. Very hard working and efficient. It was no fault of theirs we only had their actual help for 5 of the 6 hours for which was paid.ROBERT B.

As long as I am dealing with the local Uhaul dealer directly, everything goes well. When I am having to deal with Uhaul central via phone or online, it's awful, a big waste of time and money. The reservation system is not based on reality.Dale H.
UHaul was originally reserved to be picked up at the Buford Mall of Georgia location. As I'm standing in line for pickup, I am told that pickup was changed to Oakwood location due to engine failure on reserved truck. I then had to pay gas/mileage for a rental that was 15 miles away from originally reserved location. This also delayed my moving schedule due to a further pickup. Customer service was not very understanding. Very INAPPROPRIATE situation that could have been organized more effectively. I was given $50 for uHaul's â€˜reservation guarantee'; however, this does not make up for the major inconvenience it caused. I will reconsider who I use for moving next time.Bradley S.

When our lock "went missing" U Haul called and asked if they could put one of their locks on our unit and we agreed. But when the time came for us to clean out our unit no one could find the key to the lock they had put on! They had to call someone to come cut the lock off then tried to charge us $50 to have the lock cut off!Joy W. | Overall Experience

The pick up and drop off locations were fine. The truck was great. However, I don't understand the purpose of reserving trucks and equipment several weeks before online when the result is getting passed to 3 places. I finally found a pick up location I hadn't tried and a truck available that wasn't the same size I reserved and more money. Your locations in Gainesville, GA really are just first come first serve. It makes no sense to offer reservations for trucks and equipment when they don't mean anything.MATTHEW H.

No chair to sit in at this location. While waiting for the agent to finish taking a break I guess. 2 employees, 2 customers. I ALMOST fell out. I ended up sitting on a stack of of Boxes. I can't imagine if there had been more customers. We had a guaranteed reserved 26 footer but had to walk up the hill to get the truck. Bad management. Why couldn't one employee get the truck while we waited to get served. Just Bad management.William B.

Absolutely terrible customer service. They stay glued to their cell phones and don't care what you need. Uhaul as a whole is great, but this location needs almost an entire new staff. Your on-line customer service as well as your phone customer service - both are poor. I could not make it to my original booking time and because I was driving I needed to talk with a representative. I stayed on hold 32 minutes before I decided to quit. I then tried your 1-800 number. Same thing. I made it to my destination and was able to input all my information in order to change my pick-up time. I hit next and started getting the â€œcircle of deathâ€ (buffering). I was kicked off and received a message about the site going down for maintenance. I was finally able to get to my intended store where the manager was able to accommodate me with the change. The only recommendation I would make is to have more staff to pick up the phones....the average waiting time was 1 hour when I called to set up my delivery. I also think since I contracted with u-haul for the third party mover, I should not have had to schedule the delivery with them, but u-haul should have taken care of it directly.BREE J.

I reserved unit 2009, but when I went to the unit to move stuff in it had been taken. I called the girl working on the internal and she came up to the building to see right away. She wasn't sure if the prior person had moved everything out and there was a lock still on it. So she instantly put me in one that was empty across from 2009.
