The Black gentleman who assisted me, I believe his name is Tavis Crockett, provided GREAT customer service! He helped me identify which boxes would best support me belongings, provided instructions on how to use the dolly, and explained how the additional insurance is beneficial during a move - I made sure I got it! He also mentioned that my check-out process would differ from the norm, as some of the computer systems were down. However, he kept the process speedy and did it with a jovial smile! Upon my return, he was also friendly, helpful and prompt in getting me checked out and back to my moving duties. The anticipation of this move was a bit hectic for me, yet my experience with Travis truly made me feel more comfortable and secure in my preparations. It was great to be greeted with a friendly smile and warm welcome that morning. He seemed to notice that I appeared stressed, and took the extra effort to make sure I had all the information I needed to help make my move simple and easy. If I could, I would certainly treat him to a nice, big steak dinner! His customer service was certainly the best I have experienced in quite some time. When returning the vehicle after hours, I called GM Felicia to confirm where to park the vehicle and her attitude was very nasty not to mention, she seemed very unenthused to be getting call after hours as if the return directions say â€œpark in the lot for another businessâ€ which clearly they do not. The attendant on duty in Odenton on 6/10 needs to be fired. I was picking up my rental at 0900 via the mobile checking and needed assistance. When I went in to the office the attendant, clearly hung over or still high from the night before was holding his head, with his head laying on the desk. When I asked for assistance getting the pads and dollies for my order he rudely replied â€œwe don't have anyâ€ when there were dollies right outside the front door. He was rude and had no intention in helping with my needs and questions. The trust was in good shape and the return process was easy but customer service was the worst I've ever experienced.Robert F.

The uhaul was absolutely disgusting on the inside and it took about 2 hours to clean it out. Looked like whoever used the uhaul before us moved a bunch of plants, bc there was soil and wet, muddy blankets everywhere. If I wasn't on a time hack I would have brought it back to the location. The representative I spoke with when I picked my truck up did not have very good customer service. Her attitude was poor. Her demeanor was not warm at all. She didn't ask if I needed anything else. I actually meant to get a mattress protector but I was so thrown off by her attitude that I forgot. I believe I was the 1st person there so maybe she's just not a morning person. She wasn't horrible but not pleasant to talk to. I would rate her customer service a 4/10. She did her job but her attitude was not great at all. She didn't offer me anything extra like the representatives normally do. I actually meant to get a mattress cover but I forgot. If she asked me did I need anything else, that probably would have reminded me. When I came back to drop the truck off, my experience was a 10/10. The return process with the website was a disaster! I spent well over 2 hours trying to return my rental. The website wouldn't accept my locationâ€¦stating that it could not be found. The truck I rented had a gradual pull to the right. It may need an alignment or air pressure checked in the front tires. The driver's seat was missing the armrest as well. Other than those things, the truck performed well an did the job that it was supposed to do.Barry S.

She was friendly, personable, she was very knowledgeable about her work and the location, and she remembered to add the discount for the boxes I returned AND gave me a discount for the mileage I used for the van I rented. We drove 7.5 miles in a 15 ft truck and returned it. They charged us for 5 gallons of fuel which is absolutely ridiculous. There is absolutely no way that the truck gets 1.5 MPG. We used this location in the past and everything was fine, we drove 9 miles with a 17 ft truck and were never charged for gas, clearly they are trying to gauge people for money now. I would suggest to do post-check on returned truck/equipment immediately just as a courtesy. I would also ensure that when I rented the truck that one of your employees do a pre-check with the customer prior to taking it out. When I rented out these trucks in the past, a pre-check and a post-check was required. It's not only protects the customer, it protects the company from liability.Bradford R.

I also left my personal vehicle in the parking lot while using the truck, not realizing the facility had a gate. The only thing that was not great, was that the inside of the vehicle smelled like goat or manure or something like that. Parking and location signs were confusing and unclear. With a huge lot, you'd think it would be possible to park the UHaul vehicles in an area where accessing the passenger side wouldn't come along with a journey through the mud and trees on the side of the road. Price charged was about twice what we were quoted at the location and about 3x what we were quoted online. There were a variety of hidden fees. Was never made aware that we would need to get gas (another fee in addition to paying $1.29 per mile) prior to paying for the rental. Waited on hold for an hour to hear about why the final price was twice as much, but never got through to anyone. The guy who took the truck back from us at the lot was extremely warm and friendly, unfortunately, he was the only one. Will not return.STEPHEN H.

I used this establishment for over a year. I closed my account when threats were made to call to the police on friends who were assisting with moving things from the storage; having had the code and key to access. With me being out of State and the assistance I was getting was from individuals who has traveled from VA to MD with a truck to help move some things that needed to be shipped. Access was denied due to the monthly fee not being paid but the intent was to pay it after getting help with the late fee. My guest asked for assistance to waive the late fee as it had only been a few days since the payment was due. The exchange resulted in my guest begging the attendants for assistance but denied and asked to leave or the cops would be called. This is a very sensitive time in our country and it’s unfortunate that white women feel that a misunderstanding or dispute warrants calling the cops on black men; when no life is in danger. The staff offered an apology the day following the incident but the experience had already put a bitter taste in my month. This is a location by a military base. Not sure how they have not been able to embrace diversity. The fact the the manager tried to justify the actions of her staff after reviewing the tape is what annoyed me the most. Instead of taking ownership and accountability for the matter not being handled professionally, she tried to imply that my guest was in the wrong. Fact is they know they were wrong and that’s why the attendant apologized and have my guest access the following morning. She could not explain why an apology was extended and why the very person that they were so threaten by the day before; who needed the police called, had now gotten an apology and was peacefully escorted to the very storage he was trying to enter the day before!gladys a. | Overall Experience

Felicia is very rude and doesn’t keep her word. When the card access wasn’t working, she stated she sent a letter to let customers know. I did not receive letter and was unable to get into unit. I also went to unit and elevator wasn’t working and lights were out. When asked when would this be fixed, was told she did not know. I asked would customers receive a credit since she was unaware when the lights would be on again and the reply was no. She also stated that I should be able to see because of emergency lights. I stated that I could not. She stated that she was again unaware when this would be fixed and said she would call me. Never received phone call.
