Floor of the cargo van I rented was dirty and ripped, and not reflected in the pick-up pictures. Even thou I completed everything online and put my card info, I wasn't able to pick up the van without going inside and waiting in line. I came in under miles, I asked if I'd get a small credit back I was told yes. But the final receipt did not have it on there, it was only a few miles and few bucks so it wasn't worth going back to argue for. So that's why I'm giving a poor review.Justin G.

I went to the first location Uhaul confirmed to pick up the truck I reserved and they didn't have any trucks. I had to wait for Uhaul to send me another location which was out of my way and delayed me getting to the job I was doing. Aleesea is great and this location is so convenient! I usually rent trucks when I move, but this time opted for a van. The ride was much smoother, the backup camera a big help, and the size was perfect. I was even able to skip the loading area of my last place and park the van on the floor where I lived, avoiding the elevator and loading up so much faster. I will definitely rent from this location again when it's time to pick up some new furniture or supplies for woodworking projects.Cathleen R.

24/7 rental was confusing even while office was open. Instructions online stated truck was in one area, attendant told me a different area, then found out due to one-way rental it was in a different area, that was blocked by people moving in and out of their units. I was told I needed to bring the equipment back early or take alternate equipment if not. U-Haul should be more transparent about the $25 cleaning fee that you sneak into the fine print. There's no reason that shouldn't be front and center when getting an estimate considering you're going to be charged with it regardless of the condition the vehicle is returned.Stephan W.

The staff was super rude and didn’t want to do their job the entire time. From the moment I walked in they said they didn’t have my unit. Luckily I had my proof of holding the unit. Then she wanted me to do everything myself on my phone. I've utilized several Uhaul locations around the country over 20 years. This location provided significant assistance and helped me ensure I got what I needed to be the most successful (beyond the fact that the truck and equipment was prepped and staged for my departure when I arrived, and they were ready for me when I arrived at opening). The online experience in parallel with the Annapolis Road team definitely changed my thoughts about priority selection of Uhaul services in the future.Wayne W.

I showed up with a reservation (that had already been moved twice) for a one-way van and they said that they had none at all. They then went onto completely deny any of the blame and said they were â€œcompletely separate from corporateâ€ and â€œnot sure what they told me.â€ I then had to argue with them to rent me a one-way truck at the price I had reserved a van for. They weren't impolite or rude, I don't mean that, but overall it was a ridiculous situation and I think how it went down was very unprofessional.Ethan C.

The system that U-Haul has set up to rent vehicles is quite efficient. The truck has definitely been used a lot, but it worked great. I love the ramps that come with the truck, which help out extraordinarily. The only thing that I would say is that the girl working there this morning at check-in was one of the most rudest people that I've ever met. Even when I walked up she didn't say good morning, instead she basically mocked the fact that I walked to the wrong part of the building to check in. Then when we were inside she just had the nastiest attitude with me and I didn't understand why.Kevin H.

Location is in a bad place being so far back off the road and with the vehicles parked along the only road into the property makes it where you have to wait for someone if they're coming the opposite direction of you as there isn't room for cars to pass each other. And the truck wasn't marked as turned in on the website until almost 24 hours after I turned it in for me to get a receipt for the rental. I had to talk to support and drive to the location before I got my receipt. (I turned the truck in around 10am and didn't get a receipt until 930am the next day)Travis B.

My experience with the PREVIOUS Staff was that they were Struggling without Management’s Support. I had to contact the Regional Manager in order to REACH the “Site Manager” to resolve our communication differences. The Gentlemen that were there are NO LONGER THERE!! They were BEYOND HELPFUL!! The experience I had regarding access showed me its important to clarify when the "Rent of the Unit" can/does have access because, if you don't, you will find you can't access until the next business day when the office re-opens. This was going to be our fate until we got a Customer Service Supervisor to assist. We had paid to have access after office hours but it wasn't visible for some reason to the Customer Service employee until the Supervisor was somehow able to dig further and find it. Had a wonderful experience with the staff at this location! They do amazing work and should definitely be praised. Both Tavis and Megan really made my state-to-state move so much smoother and pleasant. HOWEVER I have two major criticisms. 1) Management needs to fix the address and directions to this location. It took us an hour of driving around to finally find the location. If we followed the address and directions given by U-haul it takes you to the middle of a traffic circle and states that you have arrived. When I called the the U-haul # I used to make the reservation they were not able to help us navigate. When I addressed this concern with the office employee they said it happens often with new customers which is disheartening because it means it’s been an issue for a while. 2) The lighting in the back where my storage unit was located did not feel safely lit. I could see the functioning cameras of the location in the office so I felt some sense of security that the office staff was watching but it felt creepy, dark and isolated. Our initial data we came to store our things we had a sales representative who didn't seem to know anything about the units and their sizes and rented us a unit that was way too large. Because we were using movers to move us in we had no way of moving the storage to another unit later. We ended up paying $230 monthly for 11 months. We even had the wrong info given to us regarding the storage place closing hours where we were originally supposed to go which was Annapolis MD and so my husband and the movers went there for nothing costing us more money then finally ended up at the odenton MD location which is where everything else happened. The manager Felicia is amazing. Her customer service was one of the most pleasant interactions I’ve had at a uhaul facility. We recently just moved and were delayed a bit in our travels. I used this establishment for over a year. I closed my account when threats were made to call to the police on friends who were assisting with moving things from the storage; having had the code and key to access. With me being out of State and the assistance I was getting was from individuals who has traveled from VA to MD with a truck to help move some things that needed to be shipped. Access was denied due to the monthly fee not being paid but the intent was to pay it after getting help with the late fee. My guest asked for assistance to waive the late fee as it had only been a few days since the payment was due. The exchange resulted in my guest begging the attendants for assistance but denied and asked to leave or the cops would be called. This is a very sensitive time in our country and it’s unfortunate that white women feel that a misunderstanding or dispute warrants calling the cops on black men; when no life is in danger. The staff offered an apology the day following the incident but the experience had already put a bitter taste in my month. This is a location by a military base. Not sure how they have not been able to embrace diversity. The fact the the manager tried to justify the actions of her staff after reviewing the tape is what annoyed me the most. Instead of taking ownership and accountability for the matter not being handled professionally, she tried to imply that my guest was in the wrong. Fact is they know they were wrong and that’s why the attendant apologized and have my guest access the following morning. She could not explain why an apology was extended and why the very person that they were so threaten by the day before; who needed the police called, had now gotten an apology and was peacefully escorted to the very storage he was trying to enter the day before!GLADYS A. | Overall Experience

Everything was explain to me by my service provider and I was walked to my storage room. I was given information on how to login and out of my unit. I do not have a light bulb in my unit.
