Olugbemiga K | First ImpressionsI rented a 10ft truck to move a refridgerator. I put in more gas than I used and returned in 2 hours later. The truck was the same condition returned as I got it and they charged me $25 for cleaning. Last time I will use uhaul services.
JASON SLocation. The Site is difficult to access, road is rough, very easy to miss turn-off. I am reaslize site costs are probably minimal but the access and conditions do not leave a good impression.

JIMMY Bkid behind the counter didn't seem too interested in unhooking the trailer from my hitch until i told him to do it. he did. otherwise i would have pulled it off myself, dropped it & not given a damn about its condition. and, btw, i never rec'd the 24hr in advance call that y'all always make to ensure the order is confirmed at the pickup site. that's never happened before

THOMAS MThe equipment was not clean check oil light was on . The van was not on a full tank it only had a quarter tank.. Every Uhaul I rented was always on a full tank . Manager act like he had a problem with being upset about the Van being outdated and dirty. He told me this what you Chose . I was disappointed with my experience yesterday. I will probably used a different location. But I always use this location and feel that I won't get great service from this location after the long complaint only thing I felt like I made a mistake because I did not give him the correct hours that I will need the truck I understand others might be waiting on it but I could not did know that I would need it longer had no problem extended the hours in paying the extra cost. I also had to jump start the van when I got to my location I tried telling the manager but he act like he had an attitude with me so I just left but that particular Van needs some attention. Asap

OTHA CMy interaction with the staff member was not good at all. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. After I finally found someone to help me out, since there wasn't anyone in the main lobby / register area, she seemed bothered by the fact that I wanted to confirm that I didn't need to do anything else before departing. I inquired about a refund regarding my early rental turn-in and she got irate and stated that she would take care of it when she had time. I still have not received the refund for turning in the rental 1x day prior to the orignally determined date; however, she very quickly charged me extra for the couple extra miles that I drove in the rental. I am overall disappointed with this location, and it is clear to me that they are not interested in representing the U-haul brand well.

The air conditioner was not working and the temperature in the temperature control units were 92 according to the thermostat. It’s the middle of July, I don’t understand why the air would be out. There was a tiny floor fan, that was it. Outside of this, staff always great and very helpful. This just left a bad taste in our mouth.
Baguio A | Overall ExperienceWas never able to access the unit. Cancelled my unit immediately after, only to discover no one actually did the work of cancelling the unit. Got charged 116.90 which messed my bills up for the month. Called to get a refund and they said they processed it only to discover YET again no one did the work so I had to take time out of my day to stare at someone to actually get them to do the work. No much as a “I’m sorry this didn’t get done” or “I’m sorry this happened”. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I’ve used U-Haul all across America but this location by far was the worst I’ve encountered. Lazy, careless and not helpful. Oh don’t forget there was someone they don’t even know storing things in my unit that I never had access to.

Imani B | Online Move InI gave 2 stars because the unit itself was nice. The customer service was awful. I almost wanted to apologize for inconveniencing them any time I wanted to get into the unit that I was paying for. I paid for a drive-up unit $244 monthly but was told on more than one occasion that I could not backup to my unit but to park on the side of the building and use the sidewalk (complete with a nasty attitude)to load something heavy into my truck. Meanwhile that employees car was parked in front of my unit. I was speechless and just left. It wasn’t until I actually got fed up and made a phone call that I could actually use my drive up access. I encountered one helpful black male on staff but everyone else especially the black female and one white male had attitude problems and could really use some customer service training. My unit was set to auto-pay and I closed it one day after the payment for the following month was withdrawn. I asked if I could get it prorated and was told not for my unit. The larger unit are always in demand especially because it’s next to a military base, I’m sure there is a waiting list. I wish that I had a better experience. I still rent from Uhaul but in Annapolis and the experience is completely opposite.

I had to contact the Regional Manager in order to REACH the “Site Manager” to resolve our communication differences. The Gentlemen that were there are NO LONGER THERE!! They were BEYOND HELPFUL!! THOMAS G | Overall ExperienceThe experience I had regarding access showed me its important to clarify when the "Rent of the Unit" can/does have access because, if you don't, you will find you can't access until the next business day when the office re-opens. This was going to be our fate until we got a Customer Service Supervisor to assist. We had paid to have access after office hours but it wasn't visible for some reason to the Customer Service employee until the Supervisor was somehow able to dig further and find it. Our opinion is that all Customer Service employees should have been able to see the access level.

Both Tavis and Megan really made my state-to-state move so much smoother and pleasant. HOWEVER I have two major criticisms. 1) Management needs to fix the address and directions to this location. It took us an hour of driving around to finally find the location. If we followed the address and directions given by U-haul it takes you to the middle of a traffic circle and states that you have arrived. When I called the the U-haul # I used to make the reservation they were not able to help us navigate. When I addressed this concern with the office employee they said it happens often with new customers which is disheartening because it means it’s been an issue for a while. 2) The lighting in the back where my storage unit was located did not feel safely lit. I could see the functioning cameras of the location in the office so I felt some sense of security that the office staff was watching but it felt creepy, dark and isolated. I was scared to go on my own even in the daytime. Besides those two negatives I had an easy and pleasant experience. Thank you!

Because we were using movers to move us in we had no way of moving the storage to another unit later. We ended up paying $230 monthly for 11 months. We even had the wrong info given to us regarding the storage place closing hours where we were originally supposed to go which was Annapolis MD and so my husband and the movers went there for nothing costing us more money then finally ended up at the odenton MD location which is where everything else happened. I will never use your storage facilities again.

I closed my account when threats were made to call to the police on friends who were assisting with moving things from the storage; having had the code and key to access. With me being out of State and the assistance I was getting was from individuals who has traveled from VA to MD with a truck to help move some things that needed to be shipped. Access was denied due to the monthly fee not being paid but the intent was to pay it after getting help with the late fee. My guest asked for assistance to waive the late fee as it had only been a few days since the payment was due. The exchange resulted in my guest begging the attendants for assistance but denied and asked to leave or the cops would be called. This is a very sensitive time in our country and it’s unfortunate that white women feel that a misunderstanding or dispute warrants calling the cops on black men; when no life is in danger. The staff offered an apology the day following the incident but the experience had already put a bitter taste in my month. This is a location by a military base. Not sure how they have not been able to embrace diversity. The fact the the manager tried to justify the actions of her staff after reviewing the tape is what annoyed me the most. Instead of taking ownership and accountability for the matter not being handled professionally, she tried to imply that my guest was in the wrong. Fact is they know they were wrong and that’s why the attendant apologized and have my guest access the following morning. She could not explain why an apology was extended and why the very person that they were so threaten by the day before; who needed the police called, had now gotten an apology and was peacefully escorted to the very storage he was trying to enter the day before!

I did not receive letter and was unable to get into unit. I also went to unit and elevator wasn’t working and lights were out. When asked when would this be fixed, was told she did not know. I asked would customers receive a credit since she was unaware when the lights would be on again and the reply was no. She also stated that I should be able to see because of emergency lights. I stated that I could not. She stated that she was again unaware when this would be fixed and said she would call me. Never received phone call. Due to all of this, I moved to another facility and closed my account with UHAUL.
