The customer service representative was fine and checkout was ok. However, the furniture pads I received was dirty and smelled dusty. I had to take them because other places nearby didn't have furniture pads. I would think that during this COVID-19 times, the furniture pads would have been sanitized before giving them to customers.

The truck broke down within miles of the rental facility. Overheated and had no antifreeze. It cost me 90 minutes of delays which pushed my schedule way behind and cost me additional labor costs of $60 for 2 guys that had to wait foe roadside assistance then go back to get another truck

Check the straps when a customers return the trailers to make sure the other customers gets something right they gave me a trailer with ripped straps I have to go and buy straps at a autocenter and I told them what happened they didn't even refund the money I paid for new straps

I did a reservation 3 weeks in advance for a 26 foot truck on line. 2 weeks later I was informed that it was not available I can go to East Rutherford or take a 20 foot truck. I opted for a 20 foot truck, when I arrived I received a 15 foot truck, no one even said we only have a 15 foot truck for you today. I had movers already scheduled and half the size truck for the house I was moving. Charging by the hour reminding me to return the truck in 6 hours, impossible!

My contactless pick-up required contact - needed to go in to get the key and then needed to find someone to get the equipment I had rented, despite the app telling me it was on the truck already. And the app gave me two different truck numbers (but this isn't about the app, which needs work). However, the people who helped me were awesome - friendly, quick and properly masked. So the people get 5 stars, the prep and the need for contact for pick up bring the score down.

When you tell people to check truck out it is not easy to find mileage until you have left the store which was wrong on contract and I called the person noted it but the final invoice mileage was still wrong

The location was great but this is the last time I'll be using Uhaul for future moves. You switched my pick up location and gave me a later time then I requested. This pushed my whole day back and cut into the time I with the people I paid to help me move. At the end of the day I ended up having to move stuff on my own because my help had to leave. Also you gave me a price that made no sense in the first place and then even raised the price once I went to pick up the truck. You had me stuck with no other options and I left feeling taken advantage of. You will not be getting any of my future business and word of mouth will be your karma as I will be telling all my family, friends and everyone I come in contact with to look else where when planning a move.

The last 2 times I've rented a truck, my reservation was changed, last minute, to a location over 20 miles away. This time It cost me $100 In mileage and $20 in gas, for what should have been $25 in mileage and $5 or 6 dollars in gas. I will be exploring other rental companies in the future. I rent from you twice each year and I don't appreciate being ripped off.

The store manager and some but not all of the staff are rude. Mostly the females. They think that they have proper phone etiquette and trust me, they DO NOT. I had to hang up on someone because she was overly rude to me for asking her questions about my unit.

I went through the mobile check in and it required that I go in to speak with someone. This resulted in me having to wait in line (which I was trying to avoid). Great customer service at the location, just wish I could've gotten my key and been on my way without the wait.

The only problem was with the ignition of the truck which would not accept the key easily. The key did not want to turn and the facility only allowed me four hours to use the truck. I spent a great deal of time wiggling the key. When I returned the truck, the intake representative made a comment that indicated they were already aware of the problem. Okay, so get it fixed.

Storage space is nice but this location need more help behind the counter to step in and manage when the customer line gets long. Also, they need to fully explain the purpose of creating an access code and test it before the customer leaves the counter. Also, needs to explain the importance of returning the truck with the gas gauge exactly how is was given to you.

After making a reservation for one location and having it changed to a location that was way too far for me in distance I had to go back to the Scotland road location and they were very helpful and very courteous and very professional with dealing with my circumstance. In the future I wish that U-Haul would reach out to the customer before automatically changing a location that was already pre-arranged. It was an avoidable inconvenience. thankfully I was able to get everything accomplished without losing too much time.

When i initially reserved a truck i specifically stated i needed a truck that i could drop at another location as opposed to returning it to where id pick it up. I was moving out of state so that made the most sense. I confirmed with the agent that i could drop the trick at another location in nj...perfect. Three days prior to my pick up date i received a call from uhaul confirming the reservation; however; i had to return the truck to ny! And instead of my flat rate id now be charged per mile!!! I explained to the agent that this was not was reserved and he said sorry cant help thats all we have blah blah. So instead of a rate of i think it was $139? I ended up with a $222 bill.,,almost $100 more!!! Completely unacceptable and the agent was not willing to work with me at all. When i returned the truck to the original location the agent there informed me if i got a bigger truck it would have been one way only...a15” as opposed to a 10”....this was never offered to me as an option when i was told ‘there’s no availability to drop off the truck at another location’....complete scam! Truly thought uhaul had a better reputation...lesson learnt....never again!

The return process should have been more interactive. I would like the agent to time stamp my return and mileage. Instead I handed in the key and was told I'll receive an email with receipt. In hindsight, that process was unsettling to me. Otherwise loved the location and staff! Javier and Leslie work hard to keep the equipment impressively clean!!

We were given an access code by a staff member at 5:15pm on 6/11/20. Upon arrival to the facility around 11pm, after a 4 hour drive from Maryland, we tried the access code, which failed with an error message "not checked in". We called Jonathan, who understandably didn't pick up at such hours, as well as the 1800 #. We spoke to two people- the personnel from corporate apologized for the misinformation and poor communication by the staff member at this location however she was unable to provide us access into the storage facility and she mentioned we were not authorized after hours access. This was puzzling as we were specifically told we would have after hours access BY THE PERSON WHO CALLED ME at 5:15pm. I did not seek this information, it was voluntarily handed to me. So instead of loading everything from the uhaul truck rental, to the storage unit, we had to drive to our parents home, in queens, NY, adding more miles to the truck rental, increasing cost of travel, and extending the amount of time this move was supposed to take, which is all unacceptable by such a reputable company during such difficult times. We will return tomorrow in order to move in on June 12, 2020. This doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of our experience thus far.

UBOX was perfect for my daughter's dorm items for summer break. We live in California and it would have been difficult to move items back and forth. I would highly recommend this option.

I was repeatedly charged a monthly rent fee even though I did not rent a unit at this location. I had to call over and over until it was finally corrected. This was after 3 and a half months.

I told the staff a few times that I'd be putting some large garbage bags in the dumpster & asked re: "dumpster fee". Got different answers. Checked out with $25 "cleaning fee". Confusing.
