I'm happy with the work but I was hoping that it would have been asked of where I wanted the hitch placed on the vehicle. I was under the impression i was going to have a whole new bumper and it was being placed in the bumper. Rented a motorcycle trailer 2 days in advance, upon pickup the trailer was full of snow that should have been swept out & ready to be rented. The agent blew this off when brought to his attention. Took upwards of 45 minutes to pick up my vehicle. Technical issues uploading photos of my drivers license, staff's response was â€œI'm sorry dude, I can't check a truck out for you.â€ I then had to complain so they would call the manager for help getting it sorted out. I was nearly late to pickup the equipment I ordered because of this. Not at all impressed with this experience. As a business owner I value the experience every client has when receiving service through my business. If this was the level of service I offered, I would not be in business very long. I hope you are able to get this situation rectified to better preserve your company image.Joel B.

While the truck was in fine shape, we arrived for pickup and it was still covered in ice and snow. I had to use my own window scraper to scrape off the front and top part of the truck. No one had tested anything, because when we went to open the back it was frozen shut. I thought the gas tank was given on full but it was 3/4s full, which just made it hard to fill up to 3/4 exactly when returning. The man working in the morning was also not the nicest. I was my first time renting but there was no need for attitude. However, in the later afternoon a woman, I believe named Adrian, assisted with extending my time and was lovely.Emily A.

We were told to move our car from the handicap stall to one at the end of the row. We have handicap plates and my wife is physically disabled. We then had to walk to the far end of the lot and use our key to see which truck was ours. The pick up bed was full of snow which we had to clean out before getting our sofa from the store. We had rented on line in advance and they knew we were coming. There were 2 attendants working and instead of smoking outside the front door it would have been nice to have our truck brought up to the staging area. We never had this bad customer service from the Ohio Street location and will go back to renting from them.Douglas N.

We moved from GA back home to WI and used this unit from November til end of December. Our last month was up on December 29th, didn’t plan on renewing it since we had moved into our home already. We had planned to come back on the 28th to close everything out, however I had fallen, torn my ACL and was unable to get back to Oshkosh. I chatted with the online folks and let them know what was going on, he said he’d put a note on the account. A few days later we were charged next months rent and a late fee. So 2nd week in January now, I was able to get back to the unit ti close it out. Spoke with Cash and he saw the jot on our account and closed everything out for us and removed the month charge and late fee. He really made it so easy and hassle free! The manager was terrible. Very rude and aggressive. We rented numerous U-Haul trucks for the past two weeks from the Oshkosh Koeller location. And he was very unprofessional. Snobby comments. We will not do business with this location ever again. We had great experiences with other U-Haul locations except this store. I will not recommend working with this locations manager.Leland H.

I arrived and was told they didn't have my 20ft truck that I reserved. So they offered me 26 ft truck at same cost, ok great. They still charged me for 26 ft truck, I called and they said come in, we'll reverse the charge and put correct one on. The money never hit my bank and then the manager said â€œyou're not leaving with the truck until you pay an additional $150 (after they already took $180). Had to borrow money to be able to move. We rented a 5x8 enclosed trailer, it had rails on the inside and 4 small loops on the floor to use for securing items. The rails had small slots to fit small rope thru- you couldn't use thicker braided rope the slots were too small. We transported a washer and it we couldn't use tie downs to strap it down, actually had to buy small rope. A better system for securing items is needed.Melissa C.
Worker was very spacey and unhelpful. Just gave me the keys and told me to find the vehicle. Vehicle was packed in with snow and covered in snow. When I started the vehicle it sprayed snow all over the interior from the vents. Took almost 20 minutes to warm enough to see out the windows. When I went to return. I waited in the drop off location for 5 minutes without help. Went into the store and waited another few minutes. Eventually had to stop a worker in a seperate area to hand over the keys.Everett O.
Hello, When I wanted to use the hitch, I found the Electrical hook up is inside the vehicle! Clearly it had not been installed properly. Am calling location today to find out how to make this right. BTW, before hiring uhaul to install my hitch, I watched the online video and what I got is not what is in your video specific to external install of electrical hook up. I understand people make mistakes but this makes me wonder if the installer understood the work before they started the job. Did I need to explain the electrical hook up needs to be fished outside and secured near the receiver? Confused and disappointed because this not only prevented use of my vehicle for towing but now I will have to use more of my free time to get this done right. Please advise, RichRich N.
Due to the weather, the loading door was frozen shut and I had to return back to the store to get an associate to pry it open, which ultimately tacked on more miles for me, charging more. The associate stated he had the issue with other trucks the day before as well. Recommend checking the loading doors prior to customers picking up to avoid this in the future.haley M.

When I answer more than 3 times that I do not need a dolly or blankets during the process I was very disappointed to see that there was a dolly and blankets tied to the valuable wall space in the front of the truck I rented - every load required us to work around equipment that we repeatedly said we didn't need AND there is no way to move or take it out with getting charged!! SCAM for just getting more money!!! And who rents a vehicle with 3/4 tank of gas?? You just think customers will return it full so that you can get more gas out of us - too bad you marketing puts so much effort into scamming customers- I will not rent again from U-haulMichelle G.

The staff was rude on both days. I had questions for the counter staff who acted like u was intruppti g him while doing other tasks. He reinforced this by saying I was going to have to hold on since he was doing something else and then basically acted as if I was being rude for standing there. Finally the second person who was just sitting there was able to ring me out. I went to ask if there was a spare set of keys since we could not find where we put them. I then told him I would just keep the truck another day which is when he became irritated and DE.abddd I have the truck there the next day. I asked if I was going to just be charged for another day and he completely disregarded my inquiry as if I hadn't made a sound. He then rudely explained I would have to call road side and they would charge me for another key. I said OK. But I did not have a lock for the back. They were happy to charge me for a lock. What is so upset ti g about this is I was not told there was a lock already atta he'd to the truck. So that would have been good information to be informed of before spending additional money. I do jot ask to have staff kiss my butt. But common decency should be at least the benchmark. I will jot ever be using uhaul again. I would rather pay for a company to do it. That is how put-off I was made to fill. Dignity has no value.wade P.

The man who helped us was impatient and at times rude to us. He became upset when we didn't return the truck to the correct spot after we came in to check for sure where we needed to park it. Consistent rude customer service. Asked questions, got a shoulder shrugs or replies of so or what do you want me to do about it? Should be able to fall back on policy and explain it without treating customers poorly. After witnessing another customer try to figure out how to take furniture in-and-out of a single door while having to hold it open, reported the sliding door wouldn't open. Received a snarky reply of, That's because I forgot to switch it from night to day. Process was super easy. Got everything moved in 1 trip thanks to the 26 foot truck. HOWEVER when returning the truck to the facility, the young gentlemen who I interacted with was anything but pleasant. He seemed that I completely inconvenienced his entire day by being there. Though I completely understand if he had been overwhelmed due to there being multiple trucks in the return line, and it seemed he was the only one there; but due to the fact that he made what was up until then, a pleasant experience, one to remember for a very poor reason.Brandon B.

The lights were never on after dark and the lots were dark. The unit next to mine had 2 vans there with some pretty scary folks in it the last few times I was there. I didn't like it at all. The man at the front desk was very rude as we were going over the paperwork. Told me” he reviews the instructions quickly! “… and that he did. And when I repeated the instructions to make sure I had it correct as far as using the card and such it was as if I was wasting his time! We tried for well over 40 minutes trying to gain access with the card to finally be told it may take 30 minutes or longer to get activated and that we “may need to come back tomorrow “!!!!! We had unloaded 2 trucks already and live 2 hours from the storage unit! Eventually called the man in the store as he was closing at 7pm and he said computers are slow come back tomorrow. I then asked if he had a key to help us enter and he had no response. Then I said if we enter the unit alarms will sound ….and he replied” yep nothing I can do about that”. At that point we were fed up with the attitude of this man so we entered the unit , alarms sounded and he eventually turned them off. Not a pleasurable experience. My only trouble was with my own ignorance. I didn’t know what to do and had to figure it out. Perhaps a video on the entire process from picking up the truck to dropping it off to getting into the storage facility would be helpful. I had two problems when I moved in. When I arrived at the location, the unit I was assigned was already rented out. I spoke with the employee ( very kind and helpful) she did help me out by assigning me a different one. However, when I went back for a second trip, my code didn’t work and couldn’t get into the building. I live on the other side of the city and it was a wasted trip for me. I went back the next day and couldn’t get into the building at all. I went to speak with the employee (very kind and professional) and she ended up giving me a access card and explained how it works and how to get in. Everything is great except for the fact that I was only issued one key card. This is a major inconvenience as I have multiple people that need to access the unit. This is such a major drawback I almost canceled the whole thing. The person I initially talked to led me to believe I would be able to get multiple cards. I cannot understate how irritating this is. I'm paying for the unit I feel I should be allowed multiple cards to give access to whoever I want. Even hotels give multiple cards. Please fix this.Jason K. | First Impressions
