the entire experience was a disaster. from my initial vehicle reservation, u-haul allowed me to book and reserve a cargo van for 24/7 service at a location that did not offer 24/7 service, had to uber myself to a new location, being hung up on by your customer service team when we told them the lock box code wasn’t working, not having my reserved furniture pads in the vehicle, not having a clear direction of where to drop off the keys, it was the worst experience imaginable. will be calling corporate to have my entire bill waived.

Great rental. Unfortunately, I had very little employee interaction. The storage facility was easy to access and all self service. When renting a truck and purchasing merchandise, this were my only options for employee interactions. Both times were pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

Kamarie was the customer service associate I seen there. However, I asked her 3 times to let me see the storage room before I commit and she told me I had to make the reservation 1st. I went to the storage unit and it was not what I expected, no map to locate the unit was unacceptable!!! I had to call the office and get another lady to assist me properly! And could have avoided a lot of confusion in the 1st place. So why isn't there a customer service parking available and not only for loading and unloading? That would be the only reason of coming to the facility correct?

Overall good experience but this location has a serious rodent issue. I never had any food in or near my unit, but would always find droppings in my unit which was infuriating and quite disgusting. Hours were convenient, pricing was fair, staff was friendly. But please do something about the rodents!!!

It has been almost a week since my move out and i am still disinfecting my belongings that were covered in mice pellets and urine and having to throw away several boxes of personal items. I was told that a ticket for the infestation was being submitted on my behalf last Saturday but i am still waiting to hear back. At the the very least looking for a refund of the month of storage i paid for. When i call the office to follow up i am told to call back when a manager is in, this is getting ridiculous and I am just asking for this to be made right. Please call me.

I will NOT be telling my friends to trust the clerks in regard to their competence. After verbally disagree with the total cost I was verbally told that it was “just a hold” in the context that I was letting them know it was too high a cost that sounded like -“ don’t worry about it it’s not the final cost “ that seams to not be the case and I had my signed obligations thrown in my face. They stole from me. Soft theft. Unfortunately I cant use anyone else because the distance is too consequential. This place is run well and very clean. And I think these clerks are good people. But I lost money because they are over worked ? I don’t know how else to put it? The fix is just to simply give me a credit on my next rental. I don’t know why this is so hard? I obviously wouldn’t have paid 200 on a 200 rental. That just doesn’t make sense. Straight math

This U Haul facility was helpful , easy to access, and very clean upon every visit. There was an abundance of Vehicles as well an every time I rented one it was in full service a maintained well. I had one issue upon move out that I am still dealing with an hopefully U Haul will be able to assist me with this as well as they have with every other matter that arose.

The representatives at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Park Slope would be wise to inform customers of the particular New York law prohibiting overnight parking of U-Haul cargo vans on New York City Streets. I ordered a two-day local rental, and without having knowledge of said law, the parking ticket I received at 1:53 AM cost nearly four times the cost of the two day local rental. I am a longtime customer of U-Haul Moving & Storage of Park Slope, but given how unresponsive both national U-Haul representatives and those I spoke with at the 4th Avenue office, I have resolved to never be a U-haul customer ever again.

Maybe make the trailer return process a little clearer. I had expected to return after hours and that's the only process I was given, but I ended up bringing the trailer back during business hours and was told I returned it wrong when I followed the only process I had been given. At other locations I've used, trailers don't follow the same process as trucks, but apparently they do here... but otherwise, the people were friendly and patient and the equipment was in good repair.

The appliance dolly rented with the truck was not loaded in the truck. With the pick up done via the app there was no mention that I needed to pick it up at the door. I got to my moving location and made the discovery. I had to return to the location to get it. Also the transmission or shifter for the truck didn’t work properly.

The truck rental was perfect but the process to pick the truck up and return it was insanely overcomplicated. When I made the reservation online I was prompted to check in at the counter. However, when i arrived, I and about 10 other people were told that we had to check in on the uhaul website. Not one person in the store was able to successfully complete the check in process online without help from an employee because the website is so full of bugs. I had so many issues that they checked me in at the counter after I wasted about 30 minutes trying to get the phone to work. I had the same experience returning the truck. I and about 10 other people were all trying to work through the return process while constantly being kicked out of the uhaul website due to bugs. Please return to in person check ins/returns at the counter. Many companies are switching their processes to online platforms, but they frankly do not work and make things harder for the customer. I would not be willing to go through this again. I wasted over an hour of my time on this. The employee in charge was also unwilling to help and told me that if i couldnt get my phone to work for the return process that i would be charged for an extra day.

Drop off instructions are misleading guiding you to park and put keys into a Dropbox when in actuality you have to line the truck up for cleaning and give the keys to a worker. Only one worker on site and lots of confused customers seeking guidance.

My reservation was moved from 10710 Ave D to Park Slope all the way to the other end of Brooklyn. It's very time consuming, stressful and dangerous to drive THAT far with the trailer on busy city streets. Also, it was opposite direction from where I needed to go, but nobody helped me to move reservation elsewhere over the phone. Also, people in the office assigned me a trailer from all the way in the back of the lot without checking with the guy what trailer is more accessible. Poor guy had to move at least 4 trailers by hand to pull out my trailer while other 2 equal trailers were sitting right outside. So disrespectful to hard working people.

Pricing. I was quoted $19.99 for my vehicle but ended up paying $80 + refilling gas. Didn’t exceed 10 miles so not sure why the price increase but overall good experience, staff is friendly and it’s convenient

The check-in process is horrible, takes too long and, forcing people to download the app which is extremely complicated when there are people working there makes no sense. The van was sticky in the passenger cab. I only understand app check in if there are no employees working. The app and website have terrible UX.

The whole system being through your phone is incredibly frustrating. Having to allow uHaul access to your phone location and camera to rent a truck is ridiculous. There were 2 employees working at the store, but none can help me rent a truck. Not their fault, its a ridiculous system to avoid paying workers.

I was thoroughly impressed by the staff at the U-Haul of Park Slope - on what's one of the busiest moving days of the year, the staff were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and helpful with my order. I was initially on a wait-list due to low inventory but the U-Haul office proactively called to confirm my order as soon as inventory was available and then on-site we had quick pickup. Typically you're bracing for impact whenever renting a truck, expecting that the location, vehicle, or time pickup will not match what you've reserved, but the U-Haul of Park Slope was the exact opposite and only efficient. Two women, in particular, working in the store - one right at the front door to help customers check-in to their reservation, and another behind the desk, to pass along the keys, between 8:00-8:30 AM on Saturday, March 29th, were incredibly helpful and I'd reserve a U-Haul again in the future due to their support.

The staff ant the 4th Ave Park Slope location are the best I’ve encountered in my several years of using U-Haul services. They assisted me very thoroughly and made sure I understood every step for both van and storage rental. This location will now be the only location I rent from if I can help it. I’ve already informed family and friends this is the best location thus far.

I booked a u haul for pick at the Williamsburg location for 6am. When I arrived the car wasn’t ready and I was told I’d have to wait 2 hours for it to open or get a van at a location 25 minutes away and a $30 uber. Very disappointed with the experience. Luckily, the team at the second location was helpful.

Overall, the Customer Service personnel, was highly impudent, rude, unwelcoming, was very hoggish, piggish, unfriendly and needs training in Customer Relationship. She deserves an (F) failing grade. She is not good for the company at all. This same information was passed on to other employees in the said location of whom I have known for decades, from dealin with this location from since the eighties.

The Van was so dirty inside- covered in a thick layer of dust everywhere. Not swept or vacuumed. Meanwhile they had lots of other vans there available- not sure why they would give a dirty one for rent. Terrible check-in process with no one really helping locate the van which was parked in by another van.

The reservation shows that there is more gas in the car than there actually is on the fuel gauge. And the app doesn’t let you change whatever is in the app, even if your reservation starts with much less than what the app is showing. Upon returning the car, with even MORE gas than you started with, the app automatically charges you for more gas as it’s pulling from the INCORRECT amount at the beginning of the reservations. Infuriating and criminal.

Customer service is terrible and snarky. Customers are pushed to use the app only and as a long, long time customer I was forced to provide two outside references before picking up a truck- and I was unable to use my wife's or niece's number because they were already in the system. I was sent out to get the truck and it was not where I was told it would be (it turned out to be blocked in by other trucks). I was informed that I didn't understand how to read the letters on the asphalt. I had to go back out into the lot to photograph the spot to prove the truck wasn't there. Then, they couldn't find keys to move the other trucks so I had to get another. It is a ridiculous and offensive process- all in all. The app is poorly constructed and full of glitches. The van I received was newish and clean, but I will definitely look to other vendors until U-haul fixes its process

The process to rent is insane. All done on the app, and then repeating steps to actually check in, and then still having to repeat steps again with the live agent, and then having to perform multiple steps including taking like 8 photos to return it… its not worth it. Every other rental brand is more efficient. seriously, you need to look at the customer experience here. While I was going through this hellish experience, I heard 3 other customers complaining and expressing disbelief about how cumbersome the process is.

Why do I need 3 assurance contacts? That was truly such a silly experience. App is super buggy. Chat barely functions. Waiting outside in the cold for 20 min trying to figure out this assurance contacts. They said they're calling my friend but he wasn't receiving any calls. Then they required me to give 2 more numbers. So ridiculous. It was so hard to actually get through the process. Frustrating

"I’ve had such a great experience storing with U-Haul Moving & Storage of Park Slope. The manager truly cares about the customers and goes above and beyond to help. You can tell they take pride in running a well-organized, customer-friendly business. The staff is always helpful, the facility is clean and secure, and the whole process is super easy. It’s not often you come across a place where management genuinely looks out for people, but this is one of them. Highly recommend!

I had the worst experience with this storage facility. The staff was unhelpful and unprofessional. They charged me twice and didn’t honor the free month of rent they promised after using their moving truck. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable service.

I actually don't know what her name is but if we all were more like here there would be more love in the world , she was verly helpful Actually said to the person that help after on the phone that I give her a 17, that being the the high is a ten and she gets seven more. She remembered me that when I'm nice to the customer it helps I work in an industry that deals with a lot of customers and it wasn't just me she was/I heard her on the phone with other people, she's just a good person thank goodness...... Give her a raise you can look back at when I I was just there today. I would say make her a manager but that would just be the staff that would effected but but she should be better communicated dould what d She makes. I almost never give a compliment

Staff at 394 4th Ave were very helpful, particularly the woman who was facing people as customers entered the Truck rental side on 12/14/24 at 5:30pm. She had a solid grasp of the storage spaces, my needs in the moment, and was very good. Online descriptions of whether the storage space was accessible without climbing stairs was not totally clear, and inconsistently described. This was frustrating and required more time fumbling on my small phone. Would have been very helpful to have been able to filter all spaces that didn't require stair access.

Two staff were not friendly and helpful, one was The storage unit was pretty good, but it was tied closed with a cable tie and the lock was in plastic packaging and I wasn’t warned so I had to open both with my hands, which resulted in cuts. The office hours are probably usually convenient, but I was told to register my unit on the app, which I tried to do from home and it wouldn’t accept my international ID, but the office was closed and so I had to go in the same morning the moving truck was coming in. I think with a couple of small changes it is still a good business

Amber was very accommodating. She listened to what I needed and she made it easy for me to move out yesterday by giving me an extra day. The wood floor in our storage unit had absorbed water/oil from previous renters and it soaked into our boxes. The wooden hallway to our locker was severely worn and clearly had dry rot. the floor was soft and would sag. At some point someone carrying a heavy load is likely to bust through. Also head clearance was an issue especially when two people were carrying items down the hall way.

Stored belongings here for several years. Always helpful staff and pristine interior. Have been using uhaul self-storage and truck rental for over 30 years across the USA. Have always had a safe, reliable, affordable experience. This Park Slope location went above and beyond though whenever I had to utilize the employees' help there. Everyone was kind and helpful. This particular move out experience at Park Slope was especially remarkable. Although many people, including myself, were disappointed and confused by trying to use Uhaul's new app and digital only services; the employees were patient, knowledgeable and tremendously helpful in helping us move out and rent a truck and get on our way safely and efficiently. Sherain and Sophia were very amiable and knowledgeable. We are especially grateful for their competence and assistance. Thank you.

Paulina (or maybe it was Paula) was fabulously helpful and professional when we weren't thrilled with our first unit assigned due to a large pole in the middle of it. She quickly found us another unit that met our needs. She also gave us good advice about which truck to rent for our move out. Easy parking on site. The carts are free to use and made our move in easy.

This u haul is absolutely disgusting. There was a dead rat in my unit upon move in. The customer service was absolutely terrible and would not help me in anyway. I asked for directions to my unit and could not find it and they refused to walk with me to the unit and was annoyed at me even asking. I’m pretty frustrated that I have to pay full price for this service right now. The experience has been horrific.

There were random (unauthorized) people inside the building 'offering" to help but should not have been allowed inside There was nothing on the reservation/booking that indicated we would have a set of stairs required to reach our storage facility. I'm disappointed that U-Haul has moved all transactions online since last I used U-Haul. The online process is too long and confusing. A customer should be able to walk in and rent a truck or storage space. At U-Haul's price, I expect customer service from a real person. Furthermore, the requirement to have a friend or family member wait patiently for a call from U-Haul as some sort of guarantee is completely unacceptable. As it happened, I didn't have friends or family available when I needed the rental--and I can imagine that's a pretty common situation for many. And when a friend finally did become available, I felt embarrassed having to ask. Shame on you, U-Haul. Finally, it is outrageous to make customers take pictures of equipment to prove that it is returned properly. The mobile experience is clunky and frequently didn't work correctly, which wasted my time. Customers expect in-and-out service. Don't put the burden of work on the customer. I will not be renting from U-Haul again. I will go someplace else with better customer service. SERVICE.

From renting trucks to using 2 storage units everyone Was courteous and helpful. It can get very busy and confusing on Saturdays and Sundays. You just have to have patience and wait your turn. The one bad thing you have is your mobile app. That things should be disassembled and come up with a new system nothing is accessible on that app on an iPhone.

I was told by 3 client representatives that with the rental of a van or truck, I would receive a free month of storage. I confirmed a few hours prior to drop off that everything was all set. When I got there, Uhaul still charged me $154. The agent reassured me that I would be refunded and I have not been yet. The facility has huge cracks that caused things to fall off when wheeled over.

I was told it was free the first month, and then I got charged 99 dollars. I wasn't granted the deal and then was told to talk to the general manager several days later because they weren't in the office. Also, the map to the unit was very confusing and it was unclear how to navigate the space. Check-in Truck UHAUL was also very difficult on the app. I tried to get in-person service only to get referred back to the app! it took me 30 min longer to sort out the app check-in.

I found the staff to be incredibly helpful, professional, and courteous during our time there. There was a hiccup with billing when we moved out. I called in to discuss and it was remedied immediately. They were always kind and professional on the phone. If we move back to town, we would use them again without hesitation for our storage needs (even if we don't live in the neighborhood).

When I got my truck, there was a woman stationed towards the front, away from the registers, helping people check in and navigate the labyrinthine website. She was the single most self-possessed, calm, capable person I have witnessed in ages. She worked with multiple frazzled clients simultaneously in a cool, professional manner and multi-tasked with ease and aplomb. If I’d had half a brain I would have asked for her name and information so I could poach her from you. Keep track of that one — she’s a serious talent.

There is no easy way to put the my stuff in the upper level storage, there was no elevator to the upper level, I had heavy furniture that I had to lift up thru the stairs to be able to store so after a long ride I and locking I had to use stairs to be able to store so yes it wasn’t convenient

We rented a van and picked up a couch and stored it in UHAUL’s storage. Everything was easy, clean and everyone was helpful. My son actually left his AirPods in the van and they found it and kept it for him. We’re so grateful for their honesty.

It's been an excellent storage unit but lately there haven't been any carts available which made taking items out very difficult. It actually caused us to pay an additional month's rent when we decided to close it out.

The online experience was very glitchy because neither the online account nor the app showed my truck rental, it only showed the storage unit. I rented the storage unit as an add-on to the truck rental in the same transaction, but it never showed the truck details afterwards online. The lady working at Uhaul said that always happens, so she recommends to people to do 2 separate transactions, one for the truck, then wait for the "redeem" code, and do a separate checkout for the storage unit. Even afterwards when I was dropping off the truck a few hours later, the text link that I received that supposedly would help me end my truck reservation didn't show the truck under my account at all. I gave my phone to one of the Uhaul staff who clicked around for a minute, couldn't find it either, so just asked for my truck keys instead of formally completing the dropoff process. Apart from that, the staff was not very helpful, giving short vague answers and not guiding us through the rental/checkin process even though it was obviously our first time there. Then when we went to move into the unit, we didn't know we needed to "check in" to the building before our pin code worked, so we tried using the code we received over text over and over to no avail, until we went inside and asked the staff who said we needed to enter the code on the keypad specifically next to the elevator, even though our unit was on the 1st floor and didnt require the elevator, so its not convenient we couldn't "check-in" at the keypad closest to our unit at those nearest sliding doors.

As a long time U-Haul customer I've always been exceptionally pleased with the service I've received at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Park Slope. I've had a storage unit at this location for many years and General Manager, Amanda Dowden and Storage Manager, Paulia Bernard, have both provided the most professional service one could possibly ask for. Any issues that ever arose with my storage unit or truck rental they were always there to help immediately resolve and I'm very thankful for that. I'd also like to give a shout out to one of their employees named Isabel. She's a hard worker and dedicated to U-Haul. Isabel helped me out with my storage unit many times over the years. The map is incredibly tiny and there are not decent indicating signs. It is very confusing and stressful. What should have been a 5 minute drop off was about 45 minutes.

Was hoping to come in have things prepared since the online reservation was completed in advance. However, that was not the case. The truck rental could not be found and as a result delayed our departure time. The employees seemed uninterested to help as if we were disturbing them from their peace. Once we returned the U-Haul truck we were told the elevator was not working so we could not store our things. Luckily I was able to get one on the first floor but it seems like it was a selling point to pay for a more price increase storage unit.

1. In storage buildings, there should be CLEAR signs on the wall communicating that you must check in on the bottom floor before getting access to your storage unit. 2. There needs to be an improvement in staff attitude and efficiency. I asked several staff how I could get up to my storage floor and no one mentioned checking in. Instead, a regular non-employee individual helped me out. 3. The processing of moving out and payments is awful at U-Haul. I got a first-month rent-free storage unit and moved out before rent was due which made it free. After my move-out was approved, there was a payment for the unit charged to my account. I called two Uhaul representatives who said they did not see any payments on their end and to not worry. Then, several weeks later I received a bill with the unit charge and a delinquency fee. It was extremely irritating to have to sort this out on my own when it should've been much simpler. Additional comments: When I rented my U-Haul truck I selected my desired drop-off location. Day of move: After I moved everything into my storage unit and was ready to return the truck, the drop-off location was changed to a much farther location with ZERO notification. Once again, I was forced to call a representative to solve the issue which she did. HOWEVER, renting a truck and a storage unit is already extremely stressful for your customers, yet the operation of U-Haul does not allow for a smooth and relaxed move whatsoever. You desperately need to improve your computer and communications systems because the way everything was made so complex and difficult was almost comical because I felt I was going insane.

While the location and site were convenient and well lit, the facility had several lockers nearby that seemed to contain people living there with food refuse, and several roaches were spotted. The staff in the main office seemed stressed and bothered by everyone. It is new york and i'm not expecting Disneyland, but contempt doesn't feel great.

I was given a unit number that literally doesn’t exist. It’s on the map but whoever numbered the rooms skipped a number and my number didn’t exist. It took 45 minutes to figure this out/get a supervisor to also see the problem and fix it (she was very helpful with quickly fixing it though, once she saw it) and my helper had to leave at a certain time, so I was stuck moving half my items alone. This greatly delayed me and made me late, so I asked if I could not fill the gas back up and have the fee waived (it was only 1.5 gallons) but the manager wouldn’t do that, so I had to take more time to go out and get gas and come back. The online wording of “split level storage” was not very clear and feels a bit misleading. My unit is also definitely not ADA friendly. I actually called u-haul’s main number to try to get a list of all facilities in New York and Brooklyn that offer both truck and storage rental and are offering the free month deal. 40 minutes later, the agent was finally able to produce a list (after many failed attempts that included reading a huge storage-only list, trying multiple zip codes, etc.). Her list didn’t even include the location I used, which is where I rented my truck from before (and at the time saw there was storage there), but she did call for me to check with that location about the offer, which was nice. It turns out the offer at that location didn’t show in her computer, but does exist. I then asked her what split-level storage meant and she said it be means my storage unit is on two levels, one of which may be needed to be accessed via stairs, which I found out once there is not what it means. This entire process was pretty ridiculous.

I wish I hadn't been charged for the entire next month when I checked out on the last day of the previous month. Also the fact that there was a giant pillar in the middle of the unit making it much smaller than advertised. There was no mention of this obstruction when I purchased the unit. And while the facility was secure, the ceiling of the unit was not fully enclosed. The wire top only covered half of the building. If someone wanted in, they could've easily come in from the top.

I went to multiple floors before I found my unit, it was also upper level which I wish I had known; inconvenient when carrying heavy items. My code wouldn’t let me go to my floor in one of the elevators. Or allow me to go downstairs unless someone called the elevator down. There were no parking spaces or carts available on the 1st. People were eating in front of the building instead of moving their trucks & there didn’t seem to be anyone to tell them to do so, but I did get called to move my van from where I could park it so I could store my items.

I have rented in multiple facilities... each one has different set of logistics. The inconsistencies are frustrating. The poor strength of wifi on your premises is also an issue. The repeated request for identification is also annoying. Some of your units require climbing stairs... that should be more explicit and an option, not an assumption.

The staff at this facility are atrociously rude. They do not care to help any customers. The unit I paid for was said to be on the first floor and was more expensive as a result, however, it is not and requires stairs. I had to carry everything out of the truck, into the facility and up the stairs all the way down the hall - in the DARK because the light is on a timer and kept shutting off. I am looking for another unit.

I made reservation for 1 month storage unit with my truck rental on phone with a rep. I reserved a 10x10 climate controlled 4th floor interior lower level storage unit. I was told a FREE lock came with the unit and I verified 2x that there were NO hidden fees. Got to the facility and was told they only had a smaller unit upper level. Went to it and there was NO climate control. Went back and Finally got them to find climate controlled unit but it was an upper unit with stairs. I had furniture and was by myself so made it a little difficult. P They charged me for the mandatory lock plus mandatory insurance for a total of $18.79. So much for free and no hidden costs.

When I opened the unit, the staff was very helpful and friendly. It was a whole different experience closing the unit: I waited for a long time, had to ask multiple people, and even then, I had a hard time getting information. I also tried to discuss whether I could get a prorated month since my move out date was only 2 days into the new month, but there was no one to really discuss it with. Meanwhile, I went to my unit one day about 2 months ago and found that paper towels had been shoved under the door. It seems like something had leaked perhaps but I couldn't really tell. There did not appear to be any damage to my belongings but I didn't get a notice and when I mentioned it to someone they said that it seemed like maybe someone in a neighboring unit had spilled something and tried to shove paper towels under in an effort to clean up, which seemed unlikely to me. Finally, I intentionally booked the large size unit because I needed the space but was upset to learn that not only was it a split unit, but it actually had a large Pole in the middle of one of the units which took up space. Overall it was not a good experience.

I switched to a different storage company nearby because this U-Haul location constantly has men outside harassing members for help moving/money as day labor There are always at least ten men harassing you for work, around and inside the facility When i spoke to the front desk about this they said they knew about the problem, and that there isn’t anything they can do because they can’t hire a security guard full time This is something that needs to be addressed. Other storage company locations do not have this issue

I had issues with the unit initially which is indicative of my rating of the space. There was a huge beam in the middle of the 8x8 room, and I had no notification over the phone and had movers I was paying by the hour, so it was quite stressful. HOWEVER, enter Ania Murray, who was kind, patient and so helpful. I went back to thank her after she assisted in finding me a better room, managing to make the transition pain free and being ever so kind and patient while doing so. This location is lucky to have her. My experience would have been far worse and her kindness during moving day was so appreciated. Thank you Ania for helping a stressed mover!

I left my items in the storage unit for a little over a month and came back to rat feces all over my unit and items. Absolutely disgusting I put my items in storage so they would stay safe, clean and secure. I would have never put them in this storage facility knowing they were rat infested. You can hear them running through the units as you are there. All in all the staff was friendly and helpful but the rats make this a horrible place to put your items! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

In the main office there are examples of storage locker sizes, but they are not clearly marked what size is which. If the correct sizes were identified customers could just go up to the specified sizes and visually see, as well as choose the one they want.

I made a reservation online several weeks in advance. When I arrived ready to move into my space I was told I had to now find the space I wanted to move into online and the unit I had previously reserved was not available. Not only that but that they wouldn’t honor the price I was quoted and I would have to pay more for a different unit. Adding insult to injury, The unit I ended up with has a comically enormous column in a place that makes a VERY significant portion of the space completely un-usable! I’m currently passing this photo around the internet. What a joke. It was a bait and switch unlike any I’ve experienced. I’ll be reporting this to the BBB. Also because of this I couldn’t fit everything into the space, which cost me additional time and effort to carry my things back home and find another place to store them. Finally- when checking in, nobody explained that I would have to “check in” at one kiosk and then use the same code to open the sliding door where my unit was. Nobody told me where the doors or the kiosks were. It was a giant puzzle and I had to waste even more time (while I was racing to get the uhaul truck back to another location before it closed), going back and forth at least 3 times from the where the units were to the front desk. Nobody at that location knew how to help apparently, only how to say “no” and “sorry” Overall uhaul storage space contributed to one of the most unpleasant moving experiences I’ve had. Am telling everyone who asks me about my move (which have been a dozen people so far) about this debacle and how much I do NOT recommend uhaul

I was quite disappointed with the customer service at UHaul. I had registered the week before on my phone and got a confirmation, which I printed out to show the service people. They told me I needed to start all over. I have trouble seeing my phone, and I simply could NOT get anyone to help me, even though there were three people at the counter with hardly anyone to attend to. That was literally the only job they had to do - help the customers. I was told repeatedly I needed to do it on my phone, and when I had trouble seeing it they made it seem like my problem that was such an annoyance to them. All they needed to do was walk me through it - they had nothing else to do. When I finally tried to go upstairs to my storage space, the elevator kept declining the card they gave me. I had to go back to the desk, where they seemed terribly annoyed that they had to help me. Stating the obvious here - this is NOT good customer service.

Your online booking service is terrible; very poor usability and bad user experience design. The signage in the facility was also awful -- way too much legal info to find any of the useful info, and the maps are unnecessarily hard to read. A self-service storage facility is a smart idea, but yours is a terrible execution.

Great storage facility, with drive up, off-street parking for load/unload. Clean, safe, with lots of security checks & balances in place. Most of the check-in and check-out processes are done online/smart phone by the customer, so if you're tech-challenged you might need some help.

While the online check in process is very fast, it would be much more helpful if there were descriptions of the room made clear throughout the check out process, even on the final order page. I did not catch that there would be a structural column in the middle of my unit and there was no photo of what that meant and what it would look like. When I began to move my furniture into the unit, I realized my sofa was not going to fit around the column and I had to go to customer service to change my unit. If the office had already closed, I am not sure how I would’ve resolved this issue urgently.

I didn't realize we booked a unit that required ladder access and there's a heavy couch. The page that lists all the options and sizes should be more clear with that fits into each unit and what is floor level access versus ladder. This is especially helpful for people with physical limitations. I'm pregnant. :) It also wasn't clear if the lock inside the unit is complementary or if we're required to pay for it. Also, the alarm was consistently going off while we were there and no one came to check on it or to turn it off.

Never again ! The worst experience I ever had with any company and no I would not recommend anyone to uhaul I actually tell everyone I know to never .uhaul is all about collecting money and not about assisting families as soon as you have a hardship and can’t pay your storage is locked and you s**t up for auction the worse . Gratefully I have a aunt and uncle who helped me get my past due caught up and even when I did get caught up the day I got caught up my next month was due the day I got caught up and these ppl locked my unit the day after that . Heartless company and they train the employees to be just the same .you have to physically go there to address your concerns the only one willing to partially help was PAULA !! The actual store manager Amanda was never available to address concerns . Only when you filed a complaint against her is when she’s concerned . Andre Howell was rude and disrespectful telling us to have the customer service pull the phone calls wouldn’t unlock the unit because of our rent and whole time hra sent them a payment They just were too lazy to confirm or look for the payment but was quick to say they wasn’t letting me access our things disgusting group of people they are mean horrible ppl really sad I hope neither one of them are never in a situation like ours because I do believe that karma comes to bite you .

I was at the storage unit with all my stuff and I was told to somehow pack all my stuff up, keep it somewhere overnight and come back the next day. Ridiculous. Upon entering I wasn’t given proper instructions on how to access my unit nor retrieve my add on products (boxes and wrapping). Once I was given my unit number, someone else’s lock was on it. After going back into the showroom and waiting 10 minutes I was given a new unit. When I attempted to use the service elevator to go to the unit the access number was denied. I went back downstairs, waited another 10 minutes and was given a card with a replacement code that did work. Once my movers and I were done filling the unit we left the store to pick up another load. When we returned the access code that was put on the card was also denied and the showroom was closed. I was only able to make my final unload because another person let us on the service elevator. Once I got home I realized I was charged for the first month of rental when in my original online order I was offered the promotional 1st month free. I was also charged an extra hour of service for the movers because so much time was wasted returning back and forth to the showroom for a working access code.

Diamond was wonderful help when I was moving in and this review is not based on her service. It is instead based on the management situation. Firstly, there was an extremely long line and only 3 people working. This made wait times horribly long. Secondly, I reserved a large unit a month in advance, because I sold my 2200 sq ft house. I was unable to check in online and had to proceed to the front desk. When I got to the desk the unit was unavailable. And Diamond had to find me several alternative units to compensate for the one larger unit. This provided for a more stressful experience on an already stressful day. All the while, time is literally money as I am paying movers and they are waiting outside for all this to be resolved. By the time, I get to my units it cost me an extra $200 to the movers. I was told the locks would be available to me inside the unit. Once I got to the smaller unit, somebody had stolen the lock and left the empty package on the floor. I had to go back and luckily Diamond provided me with another lock. So, in conclusion Diamond saved the day! But, she shouldn’t have had to. If you hire great people, you should support them in getting the job done right by making sure reserved units are actually reserved and customers don’t wait an hour or more in line. I would probably not choose this location again based on this information.

I made a reservation over the phone for a 20x10x6 unit, which I paid for ahead of time. My reservation was lost. A staff member--one of only two I encountered who kind and tried to be helpful--supported me in reserving the only 20x10x6 unit still available. When my movers and I arrived at the unit, we realized it was much smaller than 20x10x6. I went back and she told me there were no units of that size available; the only one was reserved (I assume that was my unit!). She said I could rent a second unit, which was on a completely different floor and not climate controlled, so my movers told me what size to get and we completed the reservation. She said, "You're all set!" I was not all set. The key card I had didn't grant us access to the floor where the second unit was located. I went back again and she told me she needed to give me a second key card. I have no idea why she didn't do that in the first place. I'm currently arranging for my items to be picked up and moved to a private storage facility. I actually left my keys there for them in an envelope. One of the employees helped me and made a note in my account. She was the second person who was kind and at least attempting to be helpful. If I discover those keys have been "lost"... Most of the staff were rude, incompetent and completely unhelpful. I don't know if other locations are similar in this respect, but I would never recommend this facility and I certainly will never use it again.

There aren’t enough flatbeds in the loading area and it was not made clear that despite my unit being on the first floor, that there would still be stairs up to my unit which made moving much more difficult. The staff, and UHAUL, have to do a better job of making the experience of being a part of the UHAUL community worth it. Especially from the consumer stand point. The experience I have had at UHAUL of Park Slope has been uncomfortable. And at times, quite prickly, and indifferent. A team member gave my key card to one of my staffers without informing me. That is lazy and in direct communication. Which in sum is a lack of effort. Maybe the UHAUL team feels a little pushed to the side with a new person less system that keeps labor cost down. Most times in these situations team members can take more short cuts as a form of rebellion. Which is dangerous for any brand, or service based business. I feel the experience can be more user friendly for the customer. Hopefully this improves in the future.

The facility is great. Clean, climate controlled, easy to navigate, wide aisles. The free use of dollies is a life (and back) saver. Once I figured out the check-in, elevator use process, it was smooth sailing. I don't recall being informed that I would receive instructions in an email. This is no reflection on your rep. Marybeth was great. Patient, thorough, professional. I just don't recall being informed about the instructions email. Had I known, I would not have experienced the frustration caused by the delay in completing my move due to not being able to use the elevators. I am grateful to the Park Slope location Manager, Amanda, who was gracious enough to answer my call for assistance with texted instructions. A+ Lastly, I did experience some problems with the card reader in the elevators. At times it would not recognize my information even though I had already checked in. In the final analysis, your products are great, convenient, and very much needed. Moving is so stressful, moving in a time crunch is a nightmare. Checking emails is not a priority during the moving process. Anything that can make the experience easier and less stressful, goes a long way.

The alarms constantly going off is insane and extremely unpleasant. I’ve been in and out of the facility on various occasions and this is an ongoing problem, not a one time thing. Besides being extremely unpleasant, there is no point in having alarms if the entire staff has been trained to ignore them. (Which is exactly what they told me to do) I also think you need some sort of trash removal service. I would have happily paid to have the stuff I no longer needed taken to a dump for me if that was an option. Would be a win-win for you and your customers

The ability to navigate to the actual location online... to cancel service or to contact the facility is an utter embarrassment. The Uhaul site and automated system is not geared to the self storage customer. Its a tangled web that is not service by the call centers. There is insufficient staff to handle phone calls. In person one is confronted with a disinterested representative. Your staffing is woefully disappointing.

Overall I can't really complain. But for the sake of suggestions for how the process could be improved, I have three things to note. (1) In terms of unit sizes, my unit was a bit too small for what I needed, but there was no way for me to know that when deciding what size unit to get. I got a 5'x5'x8' unit, and it was labeled as "studio, one or two rooms." The stuff I was storing could fit in a small guest sized bedroom, or in a little corner of a studio apartment, so I thought I would be fine with the 5'x5'x8' unit. It was just a bit too small. Some more accurate information on the front end would be helpful to allow people to know what size unit they need without having to undertake in a trial-and-error process. (2) When I made the storage reservation, the website info told me I'd need to supply my own lock, but it did not specify that a particular type of lock was needed. So I brought my own padlock, but when I checked in, I was told I specifically needed a disc lock, so I had to buy one there and incur yet another unexpected charge (a common theme in the world of moving). I understand that the disc locks are stronger than standard padlocks, but I should still be able to choose what lock I use as long as it fits on the unit door, and just deal with the additional risk that comes with using a slightly less durable lock. (3) The alarm. When I started moving stuff into my unit (after I had officially swiped my security card to check in and disarm the unit), an alarm started going off and I didn't know why. I eventually discerned that the alarm probably sounds if something is blocking the doorway of the unit for a certain amount of time. This was never explained or cautioned ahead of time, which is never a cool thing to spring on an unsuspecting customer. It's also just not a sensible security feature to install. When I'm trying to squeeze so much stuff into such a small unit (see point #1 above), I can't stand inside of the unit and also load everything into it while I'm standing there, so naturally I need to stand in the doorway while playing storage unit Tetris for an hour and a half (actual time it took me to arrange my stuff in a way so that everything would fit). That alarm feature for merely standing in the doorway, or having an object in the doorway while I'm actively trying to load the unit, should either be removed altogether, disarmed while people are actively filling the unit, or at the very least, there should be a warning about that feature in the paperwork ahead of time and/or there should be signs notifying people that a super obnoxious alarm will sound if they dare to try loading their own storage unit while having the audacity to stand with just one foot directly below the open unit door.

my card did not work, so I had to stand on line at office with other customers doing many other types of transactions (renting trucks..), when attended the experience was very good, but since it was past 8 as a I was moving out, it was complicated getting back into facility, sliding doors stop working, me and many patrons trying everything to get in. My card stop working again so could not get back my 3rd unit to finish emptying it (and office was closed), I stopped a customer care person on her way to leave work so she can swipe me in so i can get back to my unit and my daughters who was upstairs helping. I am sure other folks get in these types of situations. Someone needs to develop better workflow for the day and evening.

There was a huge, slow moving line to get anything at all. I first had planned to rent a van and a storage unit but was talked out of renting my storage unit until the next day because I had arrived so close to office closing hours (I had reserved for 6:30PM). Instead I had to keep my rental truck parked on the street overnight, full of my stuff, and only realized the next day that it was totally unnecessary. They could have assigned me my storage space and I could have used it later that evening, since there was access until 10PM. I felt like the person behind the counter didn't want to deal with it so close to quitting time. I also never got the dolly I had rented, even though I was still charged for it. The system in the building itself was confusing and I had to run back and forth several times in order to get my key card to work. That said, the manager was friendly and helpful and the guy I dropped the van off with at the end of the day was nice, as well. The person I first dealt with was not.

I got differing information about the move out process. Online it’s says it can be done completely online and to leave your card in the unit. I asked an employee to make sure and she told me I needed to return the card to the front desk. When I went to the front desk to return the card the associate told me the card was just trash now and I was free to go. I was still being asked to pay next month’s rent on my account online and when I called to correct it they said I needed to receive a check out form. 4 different answers in 4 different places was very confusing.

This is not at all the fault of the staff, but my experience moving in was so disorganized! I place the blame 100% on ineffective systems, not at all on the staff, who, as I said above, were friendly and helpful. To begin, although I had made a reservation in advance online, local staff did not have access to that information. Fortunately there were units available in the size I needed, but why have me select my unit size in advance if that information is not going to be shared with staff? Then, there were several issues with the unit itself. First, I was sent to a unit that was actually already occupied--again, I blame record-keeping rather than staff, who are trying to do their best with a system that's not giving them the information they need. Then, though staff (reasonably) believed there would be a lock inside my unit, this was not the case. Every time there was an issue, I had to go back down from the fourth floor to the office and stand in line. It was a needless waste of my time, and of staff's time continuing to help me with these issues on a busy first Monday of the month. This is why I rate my experience "average", although, again, everybody was very helpful. What would have been more helpful would have been if 1) staff had had access to my prior reservation 2) staff had had access to an accurate record of which units were available 3) available units were actually fully equipped with lock, OR, it were known that the unit did not contain a lock so I could have just grabbed one before heading up.

For both the truck and storage unit rental, I ended up having to wait in line for ~15-20 minutes to 1) get the truck keys (and provide information I'd already submitted online) and 2) figure out how to check in to the building to access the storage unit. Several employees gave conflicting information about how to check in until I eventually stood in line to talk to someone at the counter. Online check in sounded like it'd save me time and avoid the line but that wasn't the case. There also wasn't a padlock left in the unit as indicated online for using Rent Now. However, every employee at the counter was patient and helpful with any questions I had.

Sophia absolutely made my experience at the Uhaul Parkslope location a positive one. She was approachable, knew all the answers, and put me in touch with someone who could help me, with selecting a new storage unit when the one I reserved was too small and with someone to find a place to park the truck to load/unload. The guys outside really helped me too when I needed assistance getting a spot for loading/unloading whether it was moving trucks or speaking with others to coordinate parking shuffling. Uhaul storage should allow customers to access their belongings 24/7. Charging a fee for unfolded blankets is condescending & patronizing. Charging close to five dollars a gallon for gas is outrageous. Especially tacking on the gas service free. The element of customer obsession is lost here. One of the most high stress points in moving is finally dropping off all equipment.. during this phase, uhaul lacked in the smoothness of “drop off”. The final phase should be as smooth as possible in my opinion. Aside from this and unit accessibility.. my experience was good

My (very remote) experience with Parkslope U-haul has been very favorable, with one exception - - sometimes getting the phone answered takes a LOOOOOONG time and answerer may be at a corporate office somewhere else, rather than at Parkslope U-haul.

The complete lack of trash cans is a pain in the neck. Also, the very long lines for service at the cashier is a bummer. The max security system was French failed and I had to have my card remade. Even then it failed half the time. So all in all it failed more than it worked (card reader in elevator did not function properly). Also, the keys to my lock were stolen and uhaul has no contingency plan in place when this happens. I brought in a locksmith but it was quite complicated to schedule to follow policy: too complicated.

It was unclear what line to stand in to pick up a key for a truck, to get information, etc. I was also given unclear information about how to use the elevator and had to come back to ask for clarification. A paper handout describing where and how to input your code would be helpful if employees don't have time to explain the process.

The line was extremely slow moving. One of the girls behind the counter was extremely rude and off-putting -- making me feel as though she was doing me a huge favor by helping me. Se was the youngest girl of the group. The others were friendly enough. There were also some computer glitches, or so I was told, making my wait time close to an hour. Too long.

The unit we reserved online was not available on our scheduled move-in day. The staff member/cashier was rude when we asked what happened. Then she fought with another staff member about showing us available units. The other staff member was nice and helpful but didn’t have the information we’d given the first staff member, resulting in wasted time showing us the wrong size units. She eventually found one that could work, but didn’t take the U-Haul lock off, so we had to go back down to the desk for help. While looking for a unit, we passed through a couple areas that smelled strongly of garbage.

I have a problem with me closing out my account on Sunday, May 9th. My payment is due the 2nd of each month and I paid on April 28th which was in advance and when I inquired about the procedure for technically only having the storage for 7 days and asked if my account could be prorated I was informed that if you pay your fee 1 day before or 1 day after the fee is not prorated and that was not explained to me the day I closed my account. I also said if you rent out that same storage unit that same day you will charge the new customer for the entire month and I consider that stealing and unfair practices. Therefore I will never recommend anyone to U-HAUL Storage.

Spent 10 years renting units there. Scaled down from 2 lockers to a medium then a smaller one as the years went by. The facility was very helpful & convenient. I was surprised and pleased to be offered a free month of storage thanks to a one-day van rental. This proved to be just the ticket for absorbing some of our excess boxes in our local move. Thank you for taking the time to read this over. I appreciate that you're working on making a better business. The whole experience working with the office staff was horrible. To purchase anything from a roll of tape or securing the storage unit took min. of 30 mins. I waited in lines for over an hour, with slow moving staff that didn't seem to care. I was given the wrong storage unit number and asked to wait back in line. After activating my entrance card it didn't work they told me to wait back in line. The second time it didn't work again and I was told they don't know what to do. So my wife and I had to share a single entrance card because your staff refused to replace it without me paying $5. The entire front office staff could not care less about the customer experience or helping in a timely manner. They gave everyone attitude knowing there was nothing we could do about it. The staff in the actual facility and working on the trucks was great and very helpful. Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to chat about what I have written. Honestly, this could have been a great experience. I loved that it was possible to move in out-of-hours, but I was shocked to discover that my unit was "upstairs". Although there was an elevator to the appropriate floor, there was no indication that I would then have to lift all my furniture up a flight of stairs to my unit. I would not have made this booking had I known, and it was not made clear at all during the booking process. This is a deceptive practice and will put me off ever working with U-Haul in the future.

I’ve never had a worst time at a U-Haul location and I used to work in film production and was there all the time. The staff were completely incompetent and extremely unkind. All of their devices computers vestibules scanners for cards to check in to storage we’re not working adequately. Other customers and I would be wandering around trying to figure out how to do this because the staff would be so unhelpful. The only good part of this experience was when I was driving the truck itself and that was only a couple blocks..

The process of renting the truck and using the moving helpers was really difficult. The movers were poorly booked by U-haul and on the loading in to storage side were booked for the wrong date. The Truck was delivered to me with an empty tank and the brakes on the truck were problematic. The staff at the counter were really nasty and I really do not want to ever go back to your office every again now that I have my belongings in storage. Customer service is very poor. There is no continuity between the information provided and no one is held accountable. Different information is provided by staff at the location and via phones. Staff is extremely slow and unprofessional. The storage units are not as shown in the office/lobby. They are very poorly lit, doors don’t work well, and the are smelly/dirty/old. I had a very bad experience and will not be recommending or using U-Haul storage in the future.

Your internet functionality is very poor. Pages load as fast as dial-up. Account integration between rentals and storage is poorly integrated. Modifying payment methods doesn't seem to work. In the 21st century I would expect more.

Pros - convenient location and mattress dolly. Cons - the gate card didn't work twice when activated- had to wait 30 minutes inside. When I got to my unit you had to go up two sets of stairs to get to it - as I was unloading furniture this would have been a nightmare. The unit inside was dark - like a dungeon! I sadly had to load up all my stuff and go to another business to store my items. An elevator would have been really helpful

The physical plant was clean and well maintained. The staff is universally professional. But there are several issues: 1. The facility allows non-employees to roam around offering to "help" customers more in and out; most are well-mannered but some guys are aggressive and made the female customers uncomfortable and threatened. Only employees and customers should be allowed on the premises. 2. The facility is terribly understaffed. During busy periods, there was literally a line out the door because the same people process truck rentals as manage the purchase of moving supplies. On several occasions, I walked out rather than stand in line for 45 minutes during a pandemic when more than a few customers and employees were not wearing masks or had them dangling around their necks. 3. The staff fails to rigorously enforce a mask policy in the store. 4. There are frequently not enough carts available during busy periods. 5. The parking lot was sometimes so packed with vans that it was impossible to park in the customer section.

I love the location at 394 4th Ave in Brooklyn. They have excellent customer service and the location is a New Yorkers dream....moving truck and storage all in one place. Unfortunately, kind of a frustrating experience. had a few helpful staff members but I showed up with a mobile reservation and it was very unclear where I was supposed to go to get the keys, and then I went to the key pickup desk and the person there told me, 'if you don't have a key number, go wait in the line…', and I still don't really know what that means. I said I had an online reservation but she still said, go to the back of the line, which does seem to move quite slowly. Took about an hour of the rental time, and then when I got back, had a bunch of problems getting into the storage unit. Didn't get an explainer on the swipe-in system which is somewhat complicated, and came back and they did explain but I was in the system under the wrong name so I just couldn't get up the elevator at all and had to come back. So I had a ton of wait time that tacked onto my day significantly. I did have some staff who helped me out, but I was surprised that the process involved a lot of inefficiency and just wanted to pass along so you knew. I'm sure there's a lot that goes into all of this, and I know the staff is quite busy too, so many thanks and hoping this proves helpful.

The men working on the lot are TERRIFIC! Kind, friendly, go out of their way. the men working in the storage space are terrific. Friendly and efficient. The women at the registration desk have much to be desired. I wish that it wasn't so gendered. The don't look at you in the eye, which is especially critical with masks. They don't try to be understood. They rather get more annoyed saying the same thing 15 times than use their eyes to help you/ There is not a sense of kindness, which made me think they are just not being paid enough. I will try to do as much as possible online next time so I don't have to deal with this group at the front

For me it was confusing at the start with the keypad check in and checkout for elevator access. Having someone there to walk you through the process would be great but because of Covid it’s understandable that staffing is limited. Nothing on website explains what split level meant, so I was unsure what to expect and explains why the unit heights are 6’ high. Thankfully I didn’t get an upper level unit or that would’ve been major issues. I love the online reservations!

Figuring out the procedures for accessing the unit was a little confusing. I would have appreciated a sheet with all of the procedures in one place. The sheet I got was a contract, but it didn't explain how to access the unit, use the access card, elevator etc.

I have not yet moved in, but my initial experience was hassle free and congenial which is important. Liked that there were cubes replicating the actual sizes of the spaces making it simple to choose and make a final decision. Only need I think might help, after getting the paperwork done, it would be helpful to be taken to the space as a first run-as its a huge facility and I don't like having to follow maps, even the most simple.a skill that I lack. I came on Saturday morning to sign the contract on a space I reserved online. Thus needed to go inside the store to do so. The system to get in the store and the navigation for shopping vs. waiting in line for spaces vs truck rental were disorganized. I waited in line for over a hour. Business model, facility, prices are all great. Customer service was an atrocity. I asked for clarification on what I needed to close my storage unit, they said “You gotta wait in line.” So I stood in line for one hour and 20 minutes. Then at the desk, asked to go get a picture, wait in line for another hour to close account. Was told by a employee on the lot that I could not park where the trucks park and was not offered a viable solution of where to park in exchange, met with attitude. Customer service will ruin your business.

The storage unit that I reserved online was not available when I arrived and after waiting in line for almost one hour the associate assigned me a storage unit that was smaller in size then what I reserved without thinking I would notice. Then after requesting assistance to move to a larger unit they were completely rude and honestly the worst customer service experience. However, the storage unit is the cheapest around so I guess that comes with cheap customer service too. Very disappointed. I would have preferred them be honest about not having the unit rather than just giving me any available unit that was not the correct size.

I will be writing to U-Haul HQ to recommend that you put in place a zero tolerance of abuse of your staff similar to e.g. the MTA in New York City - the communication style of your customers is generally abusive and your staff have a coping mechanism to tolerate it that essentially tunes it out ... it's quite something to observe ... added to this a number of staff at this location are African American. At this moment in time it's essential that you act immediately to address this. The staff at this location are wonderful, kind, helpful and putting up with an outrageous amount of aggressive behavior. I am not sure why that is happening, but it should be stopped and immediately.

Compared with my experience at other local storage facilities this one was definitely below par. The office staff was not helpful or efficient and seemed annoyed by simple questions. There is a 2x1 foot column taking up precious space in the unit I was assigned which I wasn't told about prior to renting and only found out about when I started moving into the unit. I had to wait a half hour for someone to address this issue and then another half hour to find out there wasn't really another alternative; all the while paying my movers to wait around at $150/hour....This is not good customer service! Also there was food spilling out of two units, not to mention rodent traps everywhere. When I mentioned this to one of the staff they said, "well, some people actually live in their units" This seems completely unacceptable to me. How could your staff know this and not do anything about it? Not sure how long I will stay. It's not a bad facility but you should really work on your customer service.

There are a few places where improvement is needed. It seems one of the elevators is chronically under repair. Also, I had trouble loading the van when I moved out. It seemed there were a great many vehicles from the staff that were parked in the very few spaces that are available to the customers to get stuff in and out of their storage unit. I didn't notice before I moved out because I walked to my storage unit to drop off/pick up just a few things at a time. There were way too many UHaul vans parked behind the spots making it really hard to maneuver. I understand the staff need a place to park, but when say 10 out of 12 spaces are taken, the customers suffer. Lastly, it could have just been the day, but the bathrooms on the third floor and ground floor were a mess. I had used the 3rd floor bathroom two hours before and it was clean and stocked. I know you cannot monitor all bathrooms, but this storage space seemed to have a problem with the bathrooms just about any time I used them. Again, I know you have limits, but something must be done to serve the paying customers. Cheers!
