The truck transmission seemed to have problems. It would kick often when changing gears causing the truck to JUMP forward. I called the center and was advised to go back but I was short on time. Representative also told me the tank was half full but marked more than half full on the paper which I was charged for. Representative didn’t seem to be to knowledgeable.

I use this location frequently, usually for trailer rentals for moving equipment. Trailer is checked for proper hook-up and lights before leaving, and trailer tire pressure is checked upon return so that it is ready for the next renter. New employee, David, is a service oriented individual who is an asset to this location. Pick up and drop equipment during off hours or else you will face a long wait. Quality service takes time.

When I arrived there was about 6 to 7 people on line and only one person working. It took 30 to 45 min before I was helped. The gentleman that was working was very apologetic and mentioned that the other employee was suppose to arrive any minute. Well apparently she was very late because she arrived when I was the only person left on line 30 to 45 minutes finish later. I think it's safe to say on a Saturday morning it's probably the busiest and they should have more staff. On top of that I was suppose to get 20 extra miles and when I returned the truck with under the 71 miles I was told I was getting I got charged $2 for over mileage.

Stop charging people for miles not used I took the van with 8947 miles on it , my receipt stated that I took it with 8940 , one of your employees told me they would adjust it he signed the paperwork but still over charged me

Adding additional help especially Saturday would make a difference because waiting for 1 staff to get your order, the same person runs to get the truck while other customers are waiting on line all frustrated. With the additional help, it can be more efficient in serving customers. Thank you.

Truck hD only 1/4 tank of gas The reason was the sensor on the gas tank was broken It would shut off after 2 or 3 seconds saying it was full when it really was not to fill up it would take 45 minutes to keep pressing the nozzle from the gas pump Also the tie down on the cargo carrier left front would work and sometimes it didn't The gas problem was a big issue it wasted about 5 hours of my time refueling over the 500 mile trip Everything and everyone was fine The pickup and drop off people were very helpful

This location stated they couldn’t take my card in that office and I had to call corporate. They took my payment over the phone but charged me $429 twice. I’m still waiting for one of the payments to be sent back to my card. The employee there didn’t seem to care and didn’t do anything to help me

Had scheduled a pickup at your Passaic location, but truck was not returned the previous night. The attendant was very helpful and accommodating. He arraigned a pickup at your Paterson location. The pickup went as usually, but for the drop off I was forced to use the self drop-off on the uhaul.com website. I was returning the truck during normal business hours and the representa was there. The whole procedure took me an additional 20-25 min. of time, due to the fact that I was having phone related difficulties as well as the unfamiliarity with this procedure. The representative had to help another costumer and myself with the process. Where as the both of could have had our transactions completed in 5 min. if he had checked us in as I am accustomed to.

Have more than one person working. The store was full of customers. I was there promptly before 0800 for my 0800 “confirmed” reservation. I didn’t get seen until 0840, and wasn’t back on the road until after 0900. And this was already on top of the fact that I made the reservation to pickup in Montville, about 10 minutes from the moving pickup point, not Paterson which was 30 minutes away. Additionally, Unless I misunderstood the reservation, I was charged more than was quoted on the webpage when I made the reservation. The guy working was nice enough and proficient at getting the trailer hooked up, but he was overwhelmed by the number of customers.

This is the 3rd appointment that I made for this service to be done on my car, the first 2 were cancelled by U-Haul because they had no technician at the time that they let me make the appointment online. This time I had a 7am appointment in Paterson made 10 days in advance and I was told the day before that they could not do the install but I could have an 11am appointment in Passaic. When I got to Passaic I was told they were just “finishing up” the customer before me, cut to 230 PM my car finally went in and I was told it would take 45 minutes to completethen at 4 PM I was again told they were working on it and that there was a trainee installing the hitch and if I wasn’t happy they would put my car back together and I was free to leave without the hitch. At 530 PM I was told my car was complete. I found my tire changing equipment on my back seat and my trunk items scattered around the garage. My bumper was cut even though I was told it wouldn’t be. I will never use your service again, I cant tell you what a waste of a Saturday this was and how disappointed I am with your customer service.

This place was understaff only one person doing everything from checking the vehicle, cashier and he was overwhelmed... LONG lines to begin with and before I got there I was supposed to return the truck with 1/4 of gas which it was But when I got there the location is on a slight hill so the gas is not going to read accurately due to the incline . The Mr. do it all give me a hard time on the gas gauge he was going to charge me @37.00 $$ so I decided to put more gas right next door .. it ended up going to almost 1/2 a tank still on an incline ... do I get credit for that? Yea right !! Beware folks .. not happy . Won’t be utilizing This place in the future .

The Uhaul Share concept is good but should not be forced on "low tech" customers. My phone had no high speed data left so i could not return the vehicle even though i was standing in front of the store clerk . . .i left and let him do it . . .

The Owner is amazing. He was short staffed that morning and had a packed store. He stayed calm and continually reassured everyone he would get us taken care of in a timely fashion - which he did single handedly for over an hour before an extra employee showed up to help. Very well handle for such a crappy situation.

I have used this location multiple times over the last 20 years and I can honestly say it's the best place in the Paterson area to rent UHAUL moving equipment and supplies. Tried other places but they don't compare. Best customer service is on Market Street location.
