The employee Bryan or Brian (I don't remember) had an condescending attitude. He stressed that I was lucky that I arrive before 12noon (I arrived at 11:45am and booked the truck for 10am) because he would of given it to another customer. (I thought if I booked a truck from a certain time that truck would be reserved for me regardless of time of arrival.) In addition, he was talking condescendingly about the returning the truck with gas, as if I'm incompetent to understand the logic of this practice. Secondly, it was oblivious to me that this UHaul doesn't to do some type of checklist with get truck to see if everything is working properly. The trucks back rolling door was stuck on top. I, myself, had to fix it because Bryan didn't knew what he was doing.

I am rating the location in Passaic 541 main Ave, Passaic, NJ. I made my reservation since June 11 and I got a call yesterday and a confirmation text message yesterday that everything was confirmed. I got to the location today to pick up my truck and after waiting in line for 30 mins they told me they had no trucks available. Then I had to go to Patterson to pick up my truck. I believe my experience was very unprofessional and as a client I am absolutely appalled and I really believe uhaul should compensate me for my wasted time. The Paterson location was awesome and I would recommend them to anyone. I am supposed to get a call from a manager and I am waiting for my compensation for my water time and inconvenience today.

Pick up was a quite bad, the sales person did not want to be there, he did not set up the trailer correctly or safely, he did not do any checks of the trailer, the trailer was dirty and had been damaged when I told him he said I had paid for the insurance don't worry about the damage. He was rude. I will say drop off was much better, the worker was nice and helpful.

I understand that i needed the rental but i shouldnt be treated like im an annoying person who is interrupting him from doing nothing or he is doing me a favor by adquiring the rental service from that location. There should be an orientation to all the representatives from thst location to provide a better customer experience.

The staff in Paterson office needs to be more professional and customer service friendly. This is a skill that management should be teaching. I am not saying that the staff was rude but needs better training on that skill. Other than that everything was excellent.

I rented a 9' van on Friday May 26th 2017 and the van was in great condition. I rented another 9" van on Tuesday May 30th and the van smelled of gasoline and the rear view mirror was broken

The worst experience with a vehicle rental company, made my reservation one month ahead of time for a 26' truck, I called in the morning to see if my vehicle was ready for pick up, they said yes, when I arrived at the location they gave the only 26' truck they had to another person, leaving me without a truck even though I had done my reservation one month ahead of time, extremely frustrating because no options were given at the branch or customer service call center, except to take a much smaller truck, which I ended up taking because I had my movers waiting for me (which I was paying by the hour), lost money, extremely bad and frustrating experience, will never use u-haul service again and I will make sure I let everyone I know about my terrible experience with your company. Have done rentals with other companies and never had this type of problem, first and last time I use u-haul.

I use this uhaul location often. I always receive friendly service. However, the gentleman this morning was not friendly and did not give us the 5 star customer service that we are use to. He barely walked us to the van and never said thank you.
