None of the online reservations I made months in advance were honored and the agent went into long detailed explanations 3 times. I ended up not getting what I reserved and the cost was higher. He was also more interested n making life easier for him vs me. It took almost an honor to get all this straightened out and he even suggested I go elsewhere!!!! I've used UHaul for decades and all were perfect. This was atrocious. Why weren't any of my online reservations honored???? Why do you have this kind of person working there, looking to not make life easier for the customer???? I never got any explanation of where I pull my truck in, where the elevators are, how to use the access card, where my storage unit was to be found ither than a highlighted map. I want someone at UHaul to look into this and provide me an apology, explanation and credit for the difference between what I reserved and what I got PLEASE.harvey S. | First Impressions

The service providers at this location were aggressive and unprofessional. I had a gentleman hang up on me and when I called back to speak to a manager about his behavior, she spoke over me and brushed me off when I finally made out what I needed to say. The hostility resulted because my move didn't go as planned so I needed to adjust both the drop of time and location of the truck. Things happen, I'm pregnant and was just under lots and lots of stress. I had no control over the delays and mishaps that prevented me to comply with the original contract. Either way, I called a couple of hours in advance to rectify it all with a sincere apology and my card for extra payment and the reps were soooo nasty. I would never make someone feel the way they made me feel. It only made the move that was already so challenging even worse.Dominique E.

I waited for 30 minutes to check in (even with an online storage reservation), there was only one person around most of the time. others came in and out and I could hear them using foul language to complain about customers. I booked a floor level unit, but got an upper unit with no apologies. just told "we don't have any more lower units." it is also the wrong dimensions. I was charged over $200 for a dolly I returned weeks ago (the same day I rented it), and then got a call out of the blue asking if I had returned the dolly yesterday. Then I see that I got a refund (I think) for most of it. I'm not happy that I was mischarged for the dolly ( which I didn't realize); but am glad that it was refunded. The customer service at this location could be way better. The staff aren't friendly, and sometimes you can't find anybody when you walk into the store, and if the staff are already helping someone you can wait in line forever before someone even acknowledges that you're there.Ethan J.

The staff was lazy and not well trained to make the corrections to the reservation based on new information. I arrived to the location, provided my info and payment and was given the receipt and keys to inspect the vehicle. After my inspection I noticed the mileage was incorrect and the gas tank was less than half full. I notified him and showed him the pictures I took. The car was still in the lot and so I showed him the pictures and asked him to document the discrepancy. However he said because he already gave me my receipt that he could not make any changes and that I can just show the pictures at the drop off location. I told him to check the car and to make the changes again but he stated that he couldn't do anything about it and that I would be fine. I let him know that I will not take responsibility and if there are any issues at the drop of location I will hold him responsible. He said it's fine as of his word was good enough. I felt uncomfortable and dismissed and I was moving that morning at 8am so I had to take the vehicle as is despite my better judgment.OLIVIA N.
The employee I interacted with when having trouble with the online check in process was extremely rude and unprofessional. He rushed me and did not resolve my problems, when clearly my online portal was not updating correctly to allow me to retrieve my keys. Had the online process worked properly, I think this location would have been fine, but there were clearly flaws in that system, and interrupting this employees time sitting in an empty store on his phone was clearly unacceptable to him.Emily S.
I waiting a while before anyone arrived to help check me in for my reservation. However, the process of finishing the storage reservation was easy, and the staff were kind, efficient, and good at multitasking. It seems like they handle a lot with the limited staffing levels. The actual storage facility looks secure, accessible, and very clean. I reserved the truck for 12 hours. 9am to 9pm. When I got to the store the responsible there told me I had to bring the truck back before 8pm and that complicated all my plans. I tried to explain I did not mind bringing after they are close and use the app on the phone to bring the truck back but the guy did not want to listen. He only said "I need the truck before 8pm because someone else reserved" I believe this needs to be more clear on the website. Usually this location is great, and Javier, the manager, hires good folks to help at the counter for people who can't or don't want to use their phones for check in. But whomever was working the counter between 3 and 4 on 8/25 was unusually rude. He was curt and difficult to hear when talking, handed me the keys and told me the van was across the street when it was just in front of the building (like customers know how to read the codes that can tell one van from another?) I will continue to use this location, but I hope their service returns to its usual levels of courtesy.GERARD B.

We waited 15m on line and when it was our turn, the the one person on staff left the store for another 15m. When they came back, they left to have a personal conversation with another employee. They were answering phones on speaker while they were working with us so the process was very slow. They also left to clean a bathroom during the check-in process, delaying it further. Everything went fine with my rental until I returned my truck. The individual who checked me out fabricated the fuel level at which I returned the truck, and I was charged an extra $78 for a 9.5 mile trip and after putting in 2 gallons of gas. Thankfully, I was diligent in reviewing my receipt, and the Customer Service rep I dealt with was very understanding and helpful in issuing me a refund. The only reason I rated this review as Below Average and not Poor is because the other employees I dealt with were very easy to work with. However, if you happen to use this store for your rental, make sure to double and triple check your receipts and take pictures of everything.Jared M.

There was no one working the counter when I went in. I then thought "Ah I can probably self check out" so I went to where the vehicles were. After downloading the Uhaul app I couldn't see a way to check myself out and I saw people were back at the counter. I went back to the door and pushed the bell to be let back in. After waiting a bit someone came to get me and told me I wasn't allowed to be back there and that I had to come in through the other door. They were somewhat rude about it. I explained that no one was in there and there was no sign saying employees only or anything and I just went though the main door and went here because I couldn't find anyone to help me. Once I got to the counter he said "oh you have it set up that you can self check out so just do that" I tried to do it on the app and said I don't see how and showed him my app. He said try reloading it. That didn't work. So he checked me out. Once again came off as a bit rude. I went to follow him to the truck and he said he would drive it out to me at the stop sign. I went outside and didn't see him and then he drove around the corner and made an illegal right turn (a very short distance down a one way street) to park in the parking lot. The truck also was a little dirty in the cab area. Not enough to be a problem but anything I need to report before taking the truck out is annoying because it slows down the checkout process.DANIEL P.

I rented a unit at this same facility in May 2021, but this time was a much worse experience. The old system used codes that could be issued online by uhaul so waiting for location staff wasn’t as long. I waited over 45 minutes twice- once when picking up my truck (the staff member disappeared after giving me a short form to fill out) and once when I returned with my belongings to put into the unit. The process required me to fill out additional paperwork so the local staff could enter my information even though I had reserved the unit online. The staff was focused on truck rentals and only one was handling storage units even though there was a long line. Staff clearly didn’t want to deal with storage check in process. When I was finally helped they put me in an upper unit even though my reservation was for a lower, and also charged me for a lock after telling them I had one I’d already purchased there. It took 2 more tries to get the lock refunded after more troubles with their system. There is clearly something wrong between the online system and the one they use at the facility, which creates staff and customer frustration. The manager thinks he's God. With simple split-second judgement declared me as living in the storage unit. I am disabled. I had to carry and walk stuff to the unit. I sat on my suitcase, cracked open my typical in-between meals, peanut butter. Right out of the jar. It's what I do. However, to Javier it's a declaration of forbidden behavior and he's the only one allowed that A moments judgement of someone and hebtrys telling me how to conduct myself. I'm a Veteran and hardly need his instructions on that. I dropped the paper he gave me and didn't realize it but Javier the almighty judged once again and was wrong once again tha I've conducted this for spite I guess. That's unnecessary energy spent for no purpose. I had to move an entire locker because Javier said he wasn't letting me back in unless I did so. That is who operates your store. No 72 hours, now or never. Against policy, violation, what's his discipline for obvious breach. Nothing right? He's allowed because he got that locker rented under 72 hrs. I was told i was not allowed on the premises in 2018. They locked my storage unit. They changed my door code. I had NO access to my stuff since then. Even AFTER a $900 payment, imI STILL remained LOCKED OUT. I was never given access, i was never notified, i never heard ANYTHING from them. As far as i was concerned, my stuff had already been sold when they had the police called because they thought i was running a business out of the unit, then thought i had hazardous material, then they assumed i was living there. 1)Reserved storage unit wasn't available. I got a smaller one temporarily with a promise that larger one will become available and someone would notify me. That never happened. 2) On the first visit after office hours entry was not granted to the building. Other people were going in without problems but I couldn't. I had a full car of things to unload. Despite numerous calls nobody assisted and I had to use another storage unit in NJ. Office worker had to do something day later to fix the system to make sure my access is working. 3) On the first month automatic payment didn't go through and I was charged late fee. All information provided for the payment was accurate (I took screenshots). I asked for more details so that I can clear it up with the bank but I never got any answer from U-Haul. Also, there was no notification that my payment was rejected. I filed a claim for damages to my furniture and still haven't got the issue resolved due to a leak, and now it's being said there was no leak which is a lie I have photos of the damages and the assistant manager saw the damages, I would not recommend this facility to anyone, the insurance they use is a joke, the assistant manager Angel offered some throw blankets for the furniture which didn't help much at no fault of hers and I did appreciate it, As for the manager he never called or reached out in any way after he was emailed. Everything went very smoothly until I actually needed to use my unit. Access hours are clearly marked as 5am to 10pm. I showed up at 8pm and GUESS WHAT??? It’s apparently not access hours! I don’t care if your access hours are only 4 hours a day… LABEL YOUR HOURS CORRECTLY! I can’t think of anything more aggravating. I’ve used this storage locker multiple times in the past and always had incredibly positive experiences until yesterday. Off the bat, the woman assisting me was irritated and distracted while chatting on facetime. She then said she couldn’t assist me because they were closing, despite it being 40 minutes before closing. I had to insist to at the very least get my key card and unit #. Additionally, the online hours for this facility say office hours go until 8pm and storage access until 10pm. But I was told I’m not allowed to go anytime after office hours, which apparently are until 7pm. I’ve used your facility twice now for my daughter’s college paraphernalia and will use it again if there is another opportunity. The main reason is the staff!! uhaul is a scam i got a one way truck specifically so i could get first months rent free on a storage locker but when i arrived they told me it only it valid if you drop you truck at the same place where the locker is why was the not mad apparent on the website?? i had to pick up a truck all the way in NJ when i’m from PA just to end up having to spend $60 more dollars then expectedmakeda B. | First Impressions
I made an online reservation and activated my account at the storage site on May 8th,2021. The staff I opened my account with were friendly and respectful. She communicated to me the difference between UHaul’s office hours and access hours. I understood the storage unit access hours were until 10PM. On June 26,2021 I arrived at the loading dock around 6:50PM, and was told to leave the building by the staff working that day. They stated only businesses had access to the storage unit 24/7. They were rude and unprofessional. We waited outside for two hours trying to figure out why we didn’t have access until 10PM. It was extremely stressful as we came from CT to access the storage unit. We called UHaul’s and they informed us we should be able to access the storage unit prior to 10PM. On July 10,2021 I closed the account unit I had open. The same staff who I interacted with in June closed my account. While I was leaving the elevator I witness a UHaul’s woman employee being a Hennessy alcoholic bottle from her car (that was parked inside were the Uhaul vehicles are) to the front desk where she was working.Ashley R. | Overall Experience

My reservation was not ready when I got there after reserving it 4 days prior. The staff didn't give me any explanation and then told me they could retrack my "reservation", after I was already frustrated for standing there with no answers for over 20 mins. I was told I could use my own lock then they told me I couldn't agree I got there wasting $30 on a lock.
