The truck needs some maintenance. The right turn signal doesn't signal unless pushed over the detent--you can't signal that you are changing lanes without turning on the turn signal. Also, the ignition lock is extremely difficult to unlock as if someone has tried to steal this vehicle at some point. That needs to be fixed. I worry about breaking the key trying to start the vehicle. The bed of the truck also needed some additional sweeping. Otherwise, the person who rented me the truck was really professional and very helpful.

find a way to eliminate potential customer's fear of the "element" that hangs next door to your entrance. Vistors, college students, families,... would all be apprehensive about walking through that situation

Horrible customer service and even worse over the phone. Rude and unapologetic.

The truck rental process was very easy. Everyone was curious. The store was immaculate! Note, I wanted to use this facility for my storage unit a year ago but was deterred since there wasn't any parking or loading area. After seeing it in person it may have been fine. Not sure if there is a way to change the description online to give people a better idea. I wish I chose your location- would have been much close to me and had better rates.

When I picked up the truck I was told that I would be returning it after hours (4 hours later) and to park the car in the uhaul driveway across the street (which was 1/2 empty) and drop the keys in the box. WHen I returned, there was no space in the lot and the sidewalk was also filled with vans. I called customer service and was told they would need to call the general manager to see what to do. I was told that the general manager said for me to drive around to find a meter to parralel park in. This is the middle of the city in a bad neighborhood with heroin addicts and a methadone clinic and it was getting dark. I could tell by the poor young customer service man's voice that he didn't know what to tell me and was to,d not to call the gm back. I told him my skills were such that I couldn't parallel park the truck and wasn't comfortable walking back through the neighborhood to deposit the key. I was told that the GM said that "if I have a license, I can parralel park". I have told this story so many times since yesterday as it was so absurd. No parking, heroin addicts, surly unhelpful behavior from the GM and a kind, but helpless young customer service agent who was left to swing in the wind. EVery bit of this e perience felt as if it was NOT a one time situation, but something that the GM dealt with on a regular basis in this manner and something that happened often. LOGISTICS and CUSTOMER SERVICE were needed. More so, if anything happened to me, a 55 year old woman or my 19 yo son (and there were heroin addicts nodding and lurking everywhere) you could have been responsible for an awful situation all over a big city paper. Please respond to this email. Thank you. Catherine Carroll.

There wasn't anyone in the store when I came in. I waited for a few minutes, then notices a UHaul associate outside the building doing maintainance on one of the vehicles. I approached him and told him I wanted to return the vehicle and handed him the key. He said ok all set and I left. It went fine it just seemed a little "informal" is all.

The staff did not take time to explain the process of checking in. I rented a van and storage space. I wasted time on the back end because the staff was overwhelmed and they did not explain to me the steps involved in checking in. When I got to the storage space, there was a lock. No one met me to explain why there is a lock. I decided on a bigger space and I had to start the transaction all over again. Very frustrating especially, in the loading dock. The vans were backed up in the street. You are on your own to fight for the 2 spaces in the loading dock. Staff was not helpful in controlling the traffic around the loading dock. Plus, the staff did not inform me that I needed to bring insurance information. I felt pressured to buy the insurance at that moment. The manager Javier Maldonado was not helpful at all. Or the rest of the staff the worked there on May 10th, 2016

Payment issues, registration took forever, complicated and inconsistent explanations of the process for the storage (I first asked if I have to swipe my key card for the storage to "check out", staff said "just return car key when done", and then it turned out I did have to check out with my card which I only understood after leaving, etc...

It's very rude to advertise $19.95 then hit you with a bill of $116 when I had the truck for less then two hours... I won't be coming back to your company and move stuff often... I mean it's ridiculous nickeling your customers.

Make sure to take off the lock on the back door, so we don't have to come back and have it unlocked Other than that I had a good experience

Hi, The gas wasn't full when I got the truck. It was at 85%. I didn't mention it to the attendant, because she handed me papers where she highlighted what "full" was and drew a line from 3/4 to Full on a diagram with an yellow marker. I later saw that there was another sheet that showed what "Full" meant and that's where the line is on full. I live right next to uhaul. I used the truck to take furniture one block (1/4th of a mi) and had the truck back in 15-30 min or so, so it was easy to prove that I didn't even use any gas that could have moved the meter, by looking at the miles used (0.3). When I returned the truck I explained this to the attendant. I was super polite and he said it's okay, don't worry about it, but next time I should mention to them if the tank isn't full when I first get it. I and everyone else knows what full is, but when a uhaul attendant gives me an actual diagram and say "this is what we consider full" than another one that contradicts the 1st diagram, I could see it being problematic when I return the truck, depending on which diagram I'm looking at. Say if I or the attendant had a bad day, something this small/silly could have blown up into aggression/resentment. Thanks, Attila

The front doors don't work and there was no sign posted. I saw an employee look at me and ignore me looking in confused as to why the doors were locked. Went around to the back and rang the bell, no one came despite the three employees present. Went back to the front and had to knock on the window and finally a different employee noticed me. The man out of uniform who noticed me the first time ignored that too. Pretty disorganized.
