The young lady that assist me was unpleasant. There was something splashed on the inside of the windshield that i needed to squeegie clean at a reststop (it was on the drivers side of front windshild and distracting to driver.) And there was a tire pressure warning that changed to a check the tire sensor. I checked the tire pressure and both back tires were 80 psi and yet right rear kept having a warning.MARY-JO M.

I was charged $21 dollars for gas when I only drove the van 3 miles. 21 dollars. 3 miles. The attendant who was assisting took a 5 minute personal phone call in the middle of the transaction and used a surprisingly large amount of profanity for a customer service representative.Robert D.
I asked about all applicable charges in-person with the agent at the desk on Sunday. I asked specifically what charges were applicable and the $20 convenience fee was never mentioned for my rental being dropped off after hours. It was never reviewed or even mentioned. I was also told by the agent that I could keep the vehicle overnight and return it in the morning for no additional charge. The only thing discussed about the convenience fee was if I used the app to check out. The location checked me out in the morning when they got in to the store around 6:45am. I dropped the truck off at 8pm the night before. I am being penalized for dropping the truck off exactly when I told them I would and earlier they said I needed to. Being that my drop-off was scheduled for eight, this would have been something that should have been discussed. Javier Moldando has been extremely rude and didn't seem to comprehend what I was telling him. He merely kept telling refer to contract. But when you don't disclose something like a fee that is clearly applicable, it's bad business and negates the intent of the contract.ANDREW L.
This process was the worst experience I ever had with any retail establishment. The original location ask me to push back my pick up time by and hour. Then when I arrive to rent the moving truck a gentleman can to the locked door to tell me this location is closed. Had to call customer service to complain, which do not help at all. Had to drive 20 minutes out of my move location to center city to rent the truck. Then drive back to my move location.... load the truck and drive 30 minutes to my new resident. So, all eggs in the basket worse experience ever. To top it off, I wasn't offered a discount for the nightmare Uhaul cost me or money and time it cost me for the movers....JOANN D.

Horrible attitude from the â€œmanager â€œ who was taking care of personal business when we arrived. The guy helping us seemed fairly new and wasn't sure if things were being done properly. She seemed agitated in helping. The truck we were given was below E yet I was responsible to have 1/4 tank of gas when we got back. She was annoyed we couldn't wait foe her to finish something else (but didn't explain she had something else) so we waited as long as we could before the gas ran out. She started to yell at us for having an attitude and not listening. She was not happy with her job. I will never go there again and you should rethink who manages your facility.Joe D.

Picking up the vehicle we were told it was a full tank and to return it with 1/4 tank. However that was NOT the case. When we returned and kindly explained and asked for some sort of compensation due to inconvenience of rushing to get gas (cause we had to return it in couple of hours) they denied and said whatever shows on paper that's what it is. There was a dent previously on the hood and I was charged for the dent an amount of $150 for no reason. The employee was rude and did not cooperate, when asked for refund he just asked to dispute the charge. My first time with U-haul and it has been the worst experience. After an apartment fire in central Philadelphia, we had an emergency need for a large locker, and a truck to move furniture and belongings into storage. This UHaul location made the job (relatively) easy, and when we were ready to move everything out, to a new place the staff were friendly and efficient. Understand this is a center-city facility; a repurposed early 20th century factory building. It’s not a purpose-built modern building. But the storage area is properly climate controlled, and well-lit in the storage area. The freight elevators are slow, but large and easily accessible. There are adequate carts for moving goods between trucks and lockers. Doors and elevators require either access codes or magnetic cards (user’s choice), so security is pretty strong. I am so confused and bothered by what happened with my uhaul experience, and would really like to talk to someone. I was blamed for Uhaul not having the truck ready for me at the time that was available on the website, the employee lied and said she called me the day before and tried to leave a voicemail but it wasn't set up, when my voicemail box is set up, I lost my movers because the time provided wasn't available, and when I called the hotline, I was told that it was not on the hotline, the actually uhaul site had messed up and I had to talk to them. I feel like I was taken advantage of, lied to, not given any compensation. I don't raise my voice or complain but I expressed that I was frustrated and was told that that was on me. This was an awful experience, I do not plan to use Uhaul again.Megan S.

I was here on Saturday morning and witnessed a situation where a customer acted very inappropriately. This young man was hostile upon his arrival, interrupted my interaction with Zakiah Cole (which she handled perfectly) and then was yelling at Javier with profanities and threats to â€˜find his boss on LinkedIn and get him fired'. As a witness to the situation I was very unsettled but wanted to extend my gratitude to Zakiah for her extreme professionalism and kindness to me during this hostile situation. I asked if there was parking around the building and I I could renew it every 2 hours via the app. The woman literally could not care less and told me it was not her problem and that I should 'just get a ticket or drive home and uber back'. I think there may have been something wrong with her. The owner (also very weird) defended her and then threatened to not let me rent the van because I told her that was information that maybe would be helpful to their customers. Just a complete lack of caring (mind you there were like 10 spots on the one side of the building that she could have suggested I check). Also, the online pickup process was completely messed up and didn't work...which then in turn screwed up the process of charging my card in the store. A mistake from the truck pick-up location in St. Louis, I was dispatched to the wrong location in Philly: with the storage unit at one place and truck drop off at another. After a stressful move, 3 days of driving, during a global pandemic, losing time driving to the wrong location in a city I didn't know, and then showing up without the storage reservation with only 2 hours to unload by myself, I nearly broke down in the lobby once I realized the dispatch mistake. Tears were welling. Precious was behind the counter watching all this happen. She immediately stepped in, asked if I needed water, got me a unit and assured me everything would be okay. Without a doubt, Precious was the person I needed in that moment in time. Beyond stellar customer service, she showed me how Philly gets it done. Precious is a leading person in the story I tell people about this move. And everyone is grateful she was there to help me out, as am I. There needs to be some contingency plans from a national level for UHaul for a lot being full. This is the second time I've rented a truck and ended up returning to a full lot, with customer service telling me there was no way to change the drop off location and leaving it up to me to find metered parking until the next morning. Had I not called and made sure it was moved after I dropped it off, I would've been charged towing as well. I don't understand how there isn't a national strategy for lots being full, to direct someone to another lot or to reserve more parking space for the trucks. I am grateful to my customer service representative for doing the best she could but the fact that she was not supported by UHaul with a strategy to figure out how to resolve the situation was poor work by UHaulDaniel L.

Actually get the order correct-- don't leave out the dolly and furniture pads that the customer prepaid for. Don't let your mask fall halfway off your face while talking to customers and then do nothing about it. Relatedly, don't disappear into the manager's room and then emerge with no mask on and act like nothing is wrong. Actually unlock the padlock of the back of the truck before loaning it to the customer, or at least give the key of the padlock to the customer. Pick up the phone. When the customer comes back to your location in person for the key because you can't pick up your phone, provide it to her instead of arguing with her about whether or not you gave it to her. Keep track of which key goes in which lock on which vehicle so you don't ask the customer to drive the UHaul back across the city just so you can unlock it because you don't know which key goes in it without trying ALL YOUR KEYS in the lock. Don't deny you were the one that helped your customer earlier when the customer saw you an hour ago and specifically complimented your distinctive manicure. Don't have every single employee at the location make bizarre excuses about why they don't have their spare keys with them (e.g. "I left them in my car and I left my car back at home today"-- WHY ARE YOUR WORK KEYS IN YOUR PERSONAL CAR???).Hannah S.

The billing was easy and was notified of each payment. We found out when we went to remove our belongings, the storage unit I paid for was not the storage unit the items were in. A lock was added to our unit stating we owed for several months. The lady who assisted us told us she needed to find her phone and then she would remove the lock added to the wrong unit. It was very frustrating we were not treated as a valued customer. We had to get another employee to help us since the previous person was too busy finding her phone. She also deactivated our key so we couldn't get in the elevator until another employee noticed we needed help and assisted us. We also heard her yelling with the customer before us.
