KENNETH AThe truck I rented was very, very old. I was by myself and backing up was very challenging due to No backup camera. Though only a 10 foot truck it made it worrisome that I would hit something or someone.

Paul MThe person who helped me was nice. My problem is you shouldn't rent a truck with the fuel level below 1/4 tank... Also the steering was really sloppy... Meaning at around 40-50 had a lot of play. I've driven many bigger trucks and I had to fight the steering wheel someone should look at it... I was in a hurry dropping it off otherwise I would've told the person I dropped it off to. It was clean but the well maintained part is subject...

ANTHONY EThe entire process went very well. The only reason I said we didn’t recommend enough containers is because my husband decided how many he wanted and he didn’t have enough. That was not a U-Haul. I will say the gal in Scottsdale that brought the boxes and then picked them back up. Did a fabulous job. She was wonderful so kudos to her.

STEVEN JI brought a trailer that I rented back in a matter of 3 to 4 hours after use. The young man unhooked the trailer on Dec. 23 @ 5:02pm or minutes after. I asked if I need to do anything else and he said "you're all good boss". On Dec 28 I received an email stating that I had NOT returned the trailer and it will be reported stolen. I tried calling this u-haul store several times before finally speaking with a person in the central office who still could not reach them. I had to leave work and miss time to go take care of this "MISTAKE". I still ended up having to pay the daily rental, but not the extended days, but who is going to pay for me leaving work to take care of this and my gas and mileage? If this is the way to conduct business at this location I will not recommend it to anyone.

THOMAS VI feel U-Haul uses a bait and switch strategy to lure renters, advertising a low truck rental fee and then starts adding fees: a mileage estimate, inflated gas price, extra insurance. I rented a truck for “$39.99” and paid over $100 for a local move involving less than 20 miles. Feels like a scam.
JAMES KBetter signage as to where to return and empty the return spots promptly when completed. No one came out and I had to go in to get someone but that person was helpful.
CAROL SOnly thing that could have been better was the initial check in process. It was the first time I used storage facilities in my life and I didn't understand the process to arm/disarm the alarm via the kiosk (nor where it was located). A simple walk through would have gone a long way to ease my difficulties on my first visit.

JASON SI was super impressed with the support I received using Uboxes to move from AZ to UT. It wasn’t problem free but I had excellent Uhaul support from beginning to end and I was impressed with every person I worked with from Scottsdale and Salt Lake facilities. I can highly recommend using Uhaul for a semi self service move!!

JUAN CI checked in at the desk to rent my u-haul this time. Last time I used the app to self-check in. The experience of working with a human was 1000 times better! I was seriously ready to stop using u-haul because of the app. It has a long long way to go before it can match the speed, simplicity, and assurance of working with a person. It took all of 5 minutes to checkin at the desk, while the app took me over 30 minutes and I was frustrated out of my mind. My suggestion: do not promote the app until it is rock solid and actually gives a comparable experience.

MARTIN AThe cargo van was in great condition, no issues there. Pick up was easy. But I’m very disappointed in the return. U-Haul could not find my reservation in the system, was not able to issue a refund for the boxes I brought back and on top of that charged me for around 200 extra miles and charged me an extra $100 or more. I had to file a claim while they sort this out. Not a great experience.

LOYOLA CFirst: finding the instructions for check-in process were not easy to find. The PDF for the facility is huge and takes forever to download, so I couldn't wait for it. Also, it isn't friendly for a smart phone. U-Haul tries to drive the whole experience through the smart phone app, but then doesn't make the smart phone app work well. Second, after going into the office, the staff was really unhelpful. The guy was reclining at his chair (he, nor anyone else seemed busy), and I obviously didn't know what I was doing. But it was like pulling teeth to try to get information from him. He would answer questions, but I had to keep asking questions to get any answer (and they were always short answers). Biggest detail he didn't explain: make sure you check in and out of the storage unit at the keypad at the front door of the building, or at the keypad in the drive bay. It seems like it would be super easy to have a simple script that they follow just like when you check into a hotel. Here's where you park, here's how you get to the room, here's the pool, workout facility, and elevator, etc. So confused why this is not implemented? This seems like a process/management issue - not a staffing issue in my opinion.
MATHEW R | Online Move InHonestly, I wish that U boxes were a little bigger. This was absolutely a seamless process and it arrived five days early! We had to use a POD because of the size of some of our items, and the customer service wasn’t nearly as outstanding as you U-Haul. Kudos to you!!!

JUAN CThe folks working there were awesome and the facility is super clean, new and nice. However, the trailer I rented was in pretty bad shape. One of the straps was complete destroyed. I didn't trust it and had to add my own strap. And the one ratchet basically didn't work. I was pretty disappointed in the quality/maintenance of the trailer. When I mentioned it when I turned it in, he said he would make a note of it to get it replaced. I would have appreciated a discount on my rental as the equipment really wasn't want I paid for. She legit sat with me 3 hours trying to make calls to fix things, she even helped me get it all fixed with me not there she does everything in her power to ensure this was better for me. My service was not great but she deserves to be recognized because id send some one to her over and over. She needs a raise!!! She was friendly, knowledgeable, amazing person, and went out of her way for me. Please give her the credit she deserves!!!! She went above and beyond

Jimmy CNot very happy with the original delivery of the box in Apache Junction. It was supposed to arrive on Tuesday, October 29. There were problems at U-Haul‘s end and they rescheduled it for Wednesday, October 30 between 11 AM and 1 PM in which the box did not arrive Till I believe 2:30 PM not very happy with that. We had people all lined up that actually came in from out of state for only a couple days to help load this. Every time we called U-Haul every customer service representative mentioned how they were having online computer issues. One customer service representative even told us the Box would be there in an hour without even looking at the driver’s location to see where they were at. Once they looked at the location after my daughter asked them about that. They noticed that the driver was only 15 minutes away, not one hour away. So was not happy about this whole situation hopefully will be happier with the delivery at the other end in Indiana.

Ruben contacted me first to tell me what happened, and he followed up until the issue was resolved. It was a really annoying mistake of my box breaking, but the Ruben fixed the problem clearly and efficiently. Robert oversaw everything to make sure I was taken care of well by the U-Haul staff and movers. They arranged everything so I could come in, and did not make fun of me for bringing my kids. I was really impressed because it was the mistake of U-Haul at a different location in the first place, but they fixed it so that it was not a problem for me. I really liked their kind help, and efficient problem-solving… really great service.
