I am writing to share our recent experience with returning a rental truck on June 4th, which unfortunately did not meet the level of service we have come to expect from U-Haul. Due to a hectic and time-sensitive moving situation, we were unable to return the truck by the originally scheduled time of 4:30 PM. We arrived at the return location around 7:00 PM. I called ahead to inform the location we were en route, and the staff member I spoke with responded curtly, stating, “Yeah, we’re probably going to charge you because you didn’t call earlier.” The tone felt unnecessarily rude and unhelpful. Upon arrival, we encountered the manager in the parking lot. We apologized for being late and asked for assistance. He informed us that the location was closed and directed us to simply drop the keys in the drop box. However, this did not align with the actual procedure, which required downloading the app, signing up, and uploading photos of the vehicle before submitting the keys. As we tried to clarify this with him, he drove off mid-conversation. While we acknowledge we returned the vehicle late, we were disappointed by the lack of professionalism and support. As a family in the midst of a stressful move, we expected a more understanding and courteous response. We have used U-Haul in the past and always had positive experiences, which is why this interaction was especially surprising. We hope this feedback is taken seriously, and we’d appreciate any clarification or consideration regarding potential late charges, given the circumstances. Thank you for your time and understanding.

Best experience I've had with Uhaul ever. Staff was understanding and accommodating. Facility was clean inside and out. Uhaul should make this location their benchmark for all other locations

Staff was great. My trailer hitch was the wrong size and they got me taken care of. Made sure everything was in working order. There was a small leak someplace along the left side of the roof. The staff in Arizona likely would have no way of knowing. But driving through the Midwest there was lots of rain. My belongings and boxes got a little wet.

The person that checked me in was unprofessional and lacked customer service. I reserved a hand cart with my trailer but there weren’t any at the store. I was told it was a new store and that’s why they didn’t have one. What a stupid excuse given I reserved it 2 weeks prior. And to tell a customer you don’t have a reserved item due to the store being new is even more stupid.

We received a call from the U-Haul warehouse after U-Haul picked up our 2 UBoxes. We were told that next time to fold our furniture pads in the U box. I apologized and told them that we were told to just make sure the furniture pads were just put back into the U box. I thought it was just a little odd that we received the phone call to sort of complain that we hadn’t folded the furniture pads. I offered to go to the warehouse and fold the furniture pads if it was causing a problem and the gentleman said oh no, that’s not necessary, we just wanted to let you know. Otherwise, every aspect of our Ubox experience was tremendous, thank you!

You need a “meh” or “indifferent” answer to these questions. I’m a one time renter and I have no comparison for the questions you are asking. Most of my answers to your survey would be “ man I don’t know” unless you asked me what you actually want to know - was this deal ok? Yea it was.

The service rep was dismissive and unfriendly. I had to select a different drop-off location in the store than what I selected online, and was not told that the location would be closed on Sunday when I would be dropping off the truck. I was given the keys at the counter, and the service rep simply gestured in the general direction where I could find the truck. I spoke to a different employee outside who was very helpful and walked me way across the lot to the correct truck.

First time renting here and the trailer I rented only had 15 psi air pressure in one tire, which was not noticed until we started loading the trailer. I added air and was able to complete the mission. Otherwise the staff was friendly, but did not seem interested in the tire when I returned the trailer.
