None, Ms. Pena made my last minute rental experience very positive and seamless. I appreciated all the packing supplies readily available at check out. I never knew renting at uhaul was so easy.

This location was not where I originally intended to rent the vehicle from. My hope is that there is a system that gets vehicles back to where they belong, so customers don't get handed off to farther locations than needed.
All clerks during pick up and drop off were very professional and helpful.
Great store manager. Two times renting in the past year and both great experience with the same store manager.
And the right light went off after a little time into the drive. Had to use hazard light on the car in tow
The young lady that was the manager with the 2 long pony tails was not only super professional but she went above and beyond being helpful to me. I think she had just got off but she stayed a while after to make sure that I was taken care of. Im new to Jersey and she was my first impression to great customer service. Unfortunately I cannot remember the associates name who helped me but she was extremely thorough and above and beyond friendly. Went through every detail with me and took the time to made sure I understood everything and was comfortable. She might of even been a manager because she was so well informed and helping the other coworker as well.

The pickup location was changed by uhaul and the new location did not have any moving blankets, which I reserved several weeks ago. That caused a lot of difficulty for me since I had no way to protect the furniture I was moving.
Dashboard engine warning light was on at all times. It did cause a bit of a worry.
Service was excellent but the truck was little oldest model People at location was very nice.
OMG the Plainfield office made my transition into my new home so easy with the rental. They listened and provided me with the bed vehicle for my needs. Thank you so much.
One person working at that location! She was very slow and bias . She was extremely polite and talkative to Spanish speaking people but bland, short worded and appeared to be bothered by others. Scotch plains is always better! Last experience with the Plainfield location the make worker was lazy, slow and had a serious attitude!
Office guy on Sundays is a very helpful employee. keep him around
Daniel was professional yet overwhelmed. His coworker Fryer was no help at all and was extremely rude and unprofessional to every single customer he came into contact with in the store and outside in the parking lot. It was if he was looking to get fired or fight. I've never witnessed anything like it. My reservation was changed without my knowledge, consent, nor authorization. The location locked doors and refused to answer the phone at 6:20 despite closing time listed at 7pm. I've filed a formal complaint and hopefully will get some of my money back from this terrible experience. Never using uhaul again after removing my belongings from storage.

Storage unit had roaches and they wanted me to pay a fuel charge and a charge for returning to this location. I was changed to this location on October 6th.

The guy at the counter in the afternoon was very rude to me and yelled at me. Getting in and out of this location with truck is also quite difficult due to narrow and busy roads
The service was horrible at this location. I was assisted by Andre Dunbar and this associate is rude hostile and has an aggressive attitude towards customers. He slammed my license and he yanked a dolly out of my rental vehicle all while cursing out loud. I emailed his general manager Johanna peña and have not heard back yet. Because of Andre Dunbar I will never use u haul again. Worst experience ever.

We have rented from here a few times. The vehicles are always clean and ready when you arrive. All staff are professional and courteous.
Johanna was there all by herself on the first of the month and rocked it. I mean it when I say you should give her a raise she took on way more than the workload of one person and she did it with a smile. Those types of people should be rewarded properly!
I originally ordered a cargo trailer and had to bring it back because I was not able to handle it. The gentleman that helped me in the morning was GREAT! I called when I wanted to return the trailer and exchange it for a truck. I let him know that I had items in the trailer and would need to move them to the truck, again the gentleman was GREAT over the phone. When I pulled up, there were a few trucks in front of me being dropped off. I waited a few minutes and a man, not in uniform approached the truck. I told him I still had items in the cargo and was switching it out for a truck. He IMMEDIATELY, turned away in anger yelling some profanity and walked away. I was SOOOOO confused. Once, I got to in line, he came back and told me where to pull up. I don't know if someone on the inside seen his anger and frustration and calmed him down but the original energy was not present. Just like I do not know what type of day he was having, he does not know what type of Day I was having. I'm there with my 14 year old that's on the Autism Spectrum to help me and thank God, he did not notice. The guy helped us unload about 2 boxes. I gave him a tip for at least helping with the couple of boxes and to show him that I am a Bigger person. I normally leave this section short, I just had to let the company know what Energy some of the Employees give off. First guy, give him a raise. Second guy, NEEDS more customer service training. The truck wasnt good at all it needed a lot of work I took longer then expected time to arrive at my destination, the windows n whole stuck was shaking. Steering wheel was very hard and when you had it straight tires where going on o the next side. It needed alignment it was overall poor.

Andre went far beyond his call of duty to get the service for the customer. Andre is a patient, meticulous, kind and thorough professional. He is doing his best to keep UHAUL customers safe and happy. His ability to run (which he literally did to start the truck for me) deserves a lot of respect and appreciation. He cleaned up the truck for me before the rental in front of my eyes and did a thorough job despite it being closing time. Johanna Pena the store manager deserves a lot of praise for the the way the location is clean and safe. And for the way the location is working like a well oiled machine.
Need better signs bc the app made me think I had to park in a slot, but the employee told me to leave the truck under the overhang. She was terrific, btw. Also, address should be Front Street, which is where the entrance is, and not Second Street -- which is the exit only.

However, last Friday, September 4, 2020 I had an unfortunate experience. Enroute to my site to dropped off my items, I had a flat tire. Upon arrival I reach out and called U Haul to have some one came and repair the tire. I must have waited approximately 3 hrs and no one never came. I called several times and was told each time they would follow up. I became hot with a headache to the point I drove the van to the location where I rented it from. I spoke to the assist, mgn. and explained what happen. She was very apologetic and helpful. I feel I should receive some type of credit for what I had to endure. I rent a van from U-Haul once a month. I feel I am entitle to a reimbursement . Looking forward to hearing from you. Linda Closs

Direction from U-Haul Maps link bring you to the incorrect entrance of your building, The reception area was clean and a/c was on. However, our vehicle was 2 hours and 46mins late being returned; we had to wait in our car or outside for the tardy renter to return. That in turn made us late loading from our NJ location. It was not the fault of the staff, they were professional and courteous. The General Manager offered us a $50 deduction for the delay. The person who took over from her was overworked. a continuous line of clients, the phone constantly ringing but he couldn't answer - one person on the desk and one person cleaning and sanitizing the trucks/vehicles as they were returned. You might need to add more staff to this location it was extremely busy. There is no place for clients to sit, unless you want to sit on a pile of moving boxes. I am sure we are not the only people who have to wait on tardy returns.
Nothing. Joanna was polite, pleasant and have excellent customer service skills. She made the overall experience a good one. She's a great person.

Very professional staff
I can’t get past how rude and unprofessional the employee at the desk was. He was slamming doors at customers and coworker, yelling at his coworker who was quietly cleaning and moving the trucks, sighing and making passive aggressive marks at customers, and telling them to “hurry up because he wanted to go home at 5.” He also got mad and walked away from me when I said I had to back out of renting a space because they had no elevator and that would make moving in and storing my furniture impossible. This was such an unpleasant experience that I also cancelled my truck rental from this location because I did not want to deal with him again.
Manager was very professional and very helpful. I would recommend anyone to try them out. I give them a 5 star rating. 10 if it was possible

How can you rent a storage unit that leaks water. Even the manager came to us and asked how much water damage we have. I am a professional musician all my equipment is ruined. I will never rent from u
Really bad customer service, the manager is worthless... no what you want to deal with after traveling from another state... the storage units are in a basement without elevator access.
Everything was easy, no complications, and that price was right.
My first experience and it was painless.
Everyone who works at this facility was super helpful. I had stuff in storage for 6 months and had no trouble getting in and out, setting up a van rental, or returning my van after hours.
