Reserving the U-Haul was a nightmare. One second it was being picked up in Piscataway then scotch plains then Edison then Plainfield. My card was charged twice! Not what I needed on top of having to move! You guys need to get it together

We rented the truck and went all the way to Manhattan to move my Uncle out of his apartment. When we arrived there we noticed there was a lock on the back of the truck that did not allow us to get access. This would havent been a major problem accept we had moving compony there that was on clock for $180 per hour. So I reached out to Uhaul spoke to Manager who told me to take it the nearest Uhaul. I told them it was a huge inconvenience and that said time was of the essence. I suggested possible getting a locksmith or going to home depot to buy tools to cut through lock. After getting permission from the manager of the Plainfield location I paid a friend $50 to come out and cut the lock off the truck. Which took about an hour and the movers had to stand around waiting until the truck was accessible. Therefore I was out of pocket another $230 on top of the truck rental because of the delay. The manager of the store said not to worry said she would take care of me and to bring a copy of the receipt and she would reimburse for the lock cutters... Unfotrunately like I said I never bought lock or bolt cutters just paid more and more out of my pocket. I retruned the truck explained I did not have a receipt nor bolt cutters to give to her. I left the store in a hurry because I was in a rush. Now after receiving the invoice I realize that she did nothing on her end to compensate me for the mistake. At this point I would like a full refund and will be disputing the charges on my card. I have rented multiple times year in and year out from Uhaul and this is the first time it has happened. And I expect a refund and something as a monetary dispursement for my time being lost in order to ever condsider you company again.

I was charged for a dolly that I didn’t rent, emailed the store but didn’t hear back yet. Back door of the truck got stuck every time we pulled it up and it took extra time. We had to return the truck at 7:30am and we were not told that the store will be closed, which would’ve not been the problem, but considering that the uhaul guy added a dolly which we didn’t rent and promised to fix the invoice after we leave, I didn’t get a chance to talk to anyone about the extra charge.

When a person picks up a truck you want to feel safe it . The truck I recently you made me very stressful to drive . if somebody is returning her unit from another state truck should be tested before giving it to a Nother customer . Also I had a problem with roadside service I called them on Sunday night 8/26. To request a problem I then called Monday morning 8/27 to follow up on problem I was told there was no record of me calling the night before . The agent said help me on Monday was extremely courteous and pleasant and wanted to make sure that I got to the rental place safely . When I return the truck I explain to the service people at U-Haul about the truck they really didn’t seem too concerned also you want to report that there was a crack in the front window which was there when I receive the unit . I don’t know if anything has been done with this truck or has it just been given to another customer with the same issue and not fix . Because there’s a stressful situation I feel like I should be compensated a little with a slight credit but if you don’t feel that need it I understand if you would like to contact me my number is 908-418-0948 thank you Vera Otto

Terrible customer service at the desk. I had to do out the side door of the building to find someone to get assistance. There were three young men sitting on the side of the building, one on his cellphone and the other two talking with someone on a bike. I will never use this place again. Terrible service.

Returned truck after hours, used the website via cell phone to complete return process. Overall that went well, but the site got hung when processing my credit card. Seems like the transaction completed by the next day.
