Horrible experience! Customer service was horrid! Arguing among themselves, nobody in line, had to wait several minutes, lack of saying hello, miserable and got charged $20 for leaving after hours but app doesnt work. I rented a few times in the last few years and the same everytime. Its amazing how these are the same people that were crying for help not too long ago are conducting themselves like this. Met with Jessica this morning, and she was top-notch professional about everything. She explained everything clearly and concisely. There are other UHaul places closer to us, but this one at 5 Clairton Blvd is the first one we'd dealt with with we moved to Pittsburgh 3 years ago. Reservations was a mess. Our reservation was changed 3 times and moved locations because someone else didn't return on time. This is not acceptable when we have moving plans and dates set with people to move us. There needs to be a better system in place for your reservations.Joseph B.

Don't reserve vehicles to other customers if it's already in another customers possession no matter the circumstances make sure the current renter is finished with the vehicle before you underhandedly rent it out to someone elseDARRELL S.

Got a call on Sunday asking if I had already returned the vehicle when it was returned to U-Haul at 3:30 the same day. The van was dirty in the cab and cargo area, look at my before pictures. This was a disgrace. i worked at U-Haul back in 2003 and we took care of the vehicles. Come-on, get it together.THOMAS C.

Though the vehicle was generally well maintained and clean, I was disappointed that it was missing the driver's side sun visor which I didn't realize until the sun was in my eyes and I reached for it and nothing was there. I did bring this to their attention upon return and they acknowledged that they knew that there was no visor that it was broke and would be fixed. They were extremely unprofessional. I returned my truck that same day an hour after I got it and they called me 2 days later asking where the truck was. They didn't have an exact total for me all they said was â€œyou'll just see the total in your bank accountâ€. I asked for a receipt, never got one. I don't know if they're not training people but there were 5 employees at the desk and only 2 on the computers helping people.Richard P.

Outside, the guy who hooked my trailer up to my car was extremely patient and helpful, explaining every step of how to correctly hook up the trailer, I really appreciated it. Inside, improvements need to be made to the computer system however. Several steps of the process had hiccoughs that made me concerned if the rental was complete in the system. The signature pad didn't work, the computer couldn't locate the UHAUL location where I wanted to return the trailer to, it wouldn't recognize the driver's license photo the clerk uploaded, etc. The clerk was helpful throughout though, doing the best she could with the ornery computer system. Both employees were wearing masks and wearing them correctly, which I greatly appreciated.Hannah N.

No one explained to me that there were steps to get to the unit which we found difficult but our main issue was the height of the unit. We had a truck full of furniture that would have been too tall to fit in this unit and also a fridge. I was never told the type of storage I was offered was short. So only a small load of stuff was brought there. I had to rent another place Saturday from A normal style storage unit. The uhaul storage was free to us however the unplanned mileage put on the uhaul truck cost me extra money. I will be contacting uhaul about this because not only did I have to rent a unit elsewhere I now put an additional 20 miles on the truck. And ontop of that I'm going to have to pickup everything I did put at the uhaul facility another day.Matt C. | First Impressions

I made several trips to move out. Once, the sliding doors weren't opened. This was around noon, so it wasn't because it was off hours. This made it very difficult to move out using the door, which is down a narrow hallway. I called to let them know it was locked and waited on hold for over 15 minutes. Apparently, you get kicked over to a hotline when you call. She was no help, said to just go inside and tell them. I said I will not, that nobody wears masks that work there, even though it's required by our Governor to wear them in businesses. Once, I came a little after 7pm, and access to the storage units were closed. Online and on the sign, it is posted that OFFICE hours close at 7pm, however it states that access to storage units were to be until 10pm. Wasted trip all the way down there. Because of that, I had to scramble to move out the day of. There is always junk in the parking lot, at least by the loading dock where I frequented. Because I made so many trips every day to my unit, I noticed some used band-aids a little further down in the hallway. They were there for days and to my last day, were still there. Everything is so dark and dingy inside, also. Rent kept going up. Once, I received a notice that they were painting, so they needed to raise the rent to keep it maintained. When they painted it looked fresh and new. However, it was not maintained. I noticed when I was moving out, that several holes were patched all around, but never painted over. So, all you see are all these spackled holes everywhere. Lastly, as I mentioned, nobody there wears masks. It took me over a week, making a total of 30 trips to move everything and so I saw several times throughout the week of employees talking close to customers with no mask on. Whether it be showing a customer a new unit inside, behind the the counter at service, or them showing or receiving storage trucks from customers, they never wore a mask. I saw all customers wear them. There is even a sign in their window to please wear one upon entry. I understand it's inconvenient, I know, I moved wearing one the whole time. Some days were very hot, and yet I kept it on for respect of others.ARAM DAVID P. | Overall Experience
The unit was clean, but I was extremely disappointed to find that my large storage unit was located on the 2nd floor with the only access to the unit was to carry large, heavy items up steps.
