It was unclear that the reservation had to be picked up immediately at the time reserved; and we therefore drove an extra 35 miles to get the uhaul we reserved. This added almost 80 miles to our trip & added a significant stress to our moveASHLEYJEAN C.

Verify your equipment. The box was full of ants, the headlight was out, the power steering was minimal at best especially when in tight turning, I reserved a furniture dolly and when I showed up they didn't have one. The folks were nice and courteous but the overall experience was garbage. It was like I rented from a salvage yard.Jimmy P.
As far as pick up of the truck it was fine does issue came when I went to drop off the truck. The young man Jeffrey said they were open until five I returned the truck at 4:30 and there was no one there then when I try to do it by phone he keyed in my information wrong. I am very disappointed. Our container did not arrive the Tuesday it was to be delivered and I was not notified until 5pm that it would not be delivered that day. Then it was to be delivered Thursday between 10am and 6 pm and again I was not notified until 5:15pm. I work 3rd shift so this ruined my sleeping schedule twice. Then I was told I could go pick it up Friday and they offered me a truck. Lovely. Jason B was suppose to call me Friday morning to get the truck. No call. So I had to call at noon. Again I work third shift so this is 100% inconvenient for me to be even doing. So I got 0 sleep and had to go to work that night. So I got the truck Friday and drove an hour and a half up to where my container was in a truck FULL OF ANTS. And then drove an hour and a half in a truck FULL OF ANTS. I finally get the container that I have been waiting for and it's BOLTED SHUT. All of my belongings are in this container bc I just moved to NC from PA and I had nothing to open it. And was to have the truck back by 9am. Its 5:20pm and I have to leave for work at 6pm. So again. I got 0 sleep and had to go into work for 12 hours because of uhaul and I had the worst service. And not to mention I didn't get a refund for the DELIVERY FEE I paid for this to be delivered to my house as the contract stated. I've never rented a uhaul before and I needed to pick up some trees faster than our nursery could deliver (they were a month out!) anyway, this was the easiest thing ever and the gentleman working the counter, we're so nice. I remember Jeff's name because he answered the phone twice but the other employee was equally as helpful. Such an easy experience. Thank you!BRANDI H.

The location was fine. The employees were super helpful and kind. Our truck leaked all over our belongings - so I'm waiting to hear back from submitting a claim form. Hoping for a good outcome. Disappointed in the equipment being faulty, but I understand these things happen. No offense, not being able to get an answer at the office at that U-Haul the U-Haul in Porter's Neck is so aggravating. I have always used Lloyd's U-Haul right down the road you know they didn't have the truck I needed so I had to come to this U-Haul long story short Lloyd's always answers the phone you know you don't have to go through the rigmarole of the main number and having to wait for God knows how long for them to respond to still have to give you accurate information. IMPROVING THAT WOULD MAKE YOU GOLD!!!Sheryl W.
Our experience was a NIGHTMARE. My stuff was delivered to the wrong city. I had to fight for almost a month to get my boxes. I had to call around and find my boxes in my own because no one at the 1800 number could even find my account (despite the fact that I was being charged storage fees so I KNOW my account wasn't closed out.) I waited on hold for hours with 1800uhaul trying to get information with every tech telling me they couldn't help me and claiming they were transferring to someone they had already spoke with who could help me, when in reality they were just throwing me back into the hold queue over and over again. Some techs just hung up on me because they didn't know what do. I finally tracked down the cell of the Wilmington general manager who was able to get me in touch with traffic control. In order to get my boxes to the correct pick up location I was told only two boxes could be transferred at a time. Boxes HAD to all be picked up same day because uhaul location couldn't store any overnight. The boxes weren't even delivered until 3-4pm each day, and they would only give us one box at a time and they knew it was a two hour round trip for us to get each box plus unload time. After all we had been through at that point the LEAST someone could have done was give us our boxes at a reasonable time of day. It was a three day long scramble ordeal to get our boxes picked up. We paid over 6k for a service and Uhaul didn't provide the service advertised. We've used uboxes for a long distance move before with no issues but this time was an absolute nightmare and no one cared to even attempt to make it right.Lewis S.

There was a lack of clear customer support. My U-Box arrived 6 days late, completely damaged and it was difficult to get in touch with a representative for help/ information. I recommend more updates on the website that detail any late deliveries and any damages reported instead of waiting for a phone call.Melissa S.

The people staffing this location were very helpful in getting us switched from the 15' truck we were stuck with in Austin, TX over to a 10' truck, as we had originally reserved. The 10' truck was clean, much easier to drive and much less noisy than the 15'er.ELISABETH P.

The initial location instructions said the truck was in front of the office building, but it was actually by the street. So I had a hard time locating the truck. The word lock was temperamental. But otherwise the experience waa good.Elizabeth B.
The staff is less than professional and completely unhelpful, actually refused to work it out a solution to a problem after I had contracted a truck. After dealing with UHAUL Traffic to resolve the problem the manager seemed to be angry with me. When I picked up the truck at 0900 on Wednesday the business was closed(who closes on a work day?) there was no trailer ball nor ball mount. This despite the fact that I told the manager multiple times that I needed the truck to tow a trailer. When I called the manager he acted like it was my fault, eventually stating; "UHAUL had us take the mounts off because customers might tow over sized trailers." He sounded smug and seemed to be getting pleasure in not providing the equipment that I had contracted for. I called the owner whose assistant returned my call. No satisfaction yet. I rent often from UHAUL, this was the fourth truck in 30 days and do not appreciate being treated in such a manner.William H.

The location was not marked by any UHaul signage and the address was not listed on the building. If there had not been a UHaul trailer in the parking lot, we would not have even realized this was the location to return the equipment to.Michael S.
